"By 2005, it will become clear that the Internet’s impact on the economy has been no greater than the fax machine’s” - also Paul Krugman

I didn't think this imbecile could say anything stupider than that, but here we are. How on earth does Krugman still have anyone who listens to him & cares for his opinion in the slightest? You'd already be better off getting economic opinions from the Weimar money printers and political ones from Jacob Schiff.

A wise man once said (about the 1619 Project): awards are not given to reward good work, but to make it impossible to challenge bad work.

Lenin had a better grasp of economics than any current economist, Austrians excluded.

The way he gets propped up in the public spotlight despite his mountain of failure should be a clear sign that the talking heads we see don't get to talk because they have anything knowledgeable or even relevant to say. He's just another globalist mouthpiece, paid to shill their narratives.

I hate to be the ACKSHULLY guide but he did predict the 2008 Great Recession.

But at the same time, anyone with a brain could predict that as well... if you read the Big Short you'd know.

Economics is just self-fulfilling prophecy. Economists: "OMG, we're gonna have a recession!" the herd goes and sells off stock Economists: "SEE?!"

They predict nothing. They issue orders.

Same thing happened in the UK when the PM at the time [David Cameron] said something vaguely about there possibly being a petrol shortage and that the plebs public might want to make sure they have enough just in case.

Cue panic buying and a petrol shortage as demand shot up for no actual fucking reason in the end beyond the PM being a moron and saying that.

"The majority of protests were peaceful."

The majority of cops will never kill a black man. The majority of black men will never be killed by a cop.

I seem to recall their exact wording was something like "majority of protests mostly peaceful", usually somewhere around >95%. I noticed that they never defined how much property damage/violence had to occur before it was no longer considered "mostly peaceful". They also avoided mentioning how many "protests" were entirely peaceful.

If by “best-behaved” he means “behaved exactly as their handlers wanted them to” then he’s probably right.

Dang, beat me to it.

They've been extremely loyal to their handlers. Their chants and objective change from moment to moment, willing to throw lower-level "leaders" under the bus in an instant, if their handlers issue new downloads to the NPC firmware.

Journalist types live in a bubble, that's no secret. Either that, or he's simping for BLM for the sake of improving his career prospects. People characterize journalists as knowing propagandists, which I am sure is the case for some of them. But many of them are unknowing propagandists, in other words they truly believe what they are saying.

I actually respect the knowing propagandists over the unknowing tools. At least they are smart enough to serve their own interests, the tools are feeding the lion until it gets big enough to consume them.

When you're functionally given a Letter of Marque by the powers that be to do whatever you want as long as it harms said powers' enemies, it's very easy to be "the best behaved."

I think you are missing the point. BLM will go down as the most peaceful organization in history because when the progressives get their way, history will be rewritten to favor them.

2020 and the summer of love where we had block parties on every street was peaceful except when it was marred by the Massacre of Dec 6th. Never forget 12/06/20. Darkest day in history...
