Unfortunately we’re not allowed to tell people to take some responsibility these days. Use a condom? Birth control? Maybe not get knocked up by an abusive guy? HOW DARE YOU?! But murdering an unborn child is socially acceptable. Hell, it’s considered downright heroic.
It’s hard for me to have any sympathy. Dumb bitch knew she was pregnant and knew there was a ticking clock to get an abortion. Shit or get off the pot. Waiting until it was illegal and fucking even that up isn’t an excuse.
Damn. I missed out on this scam. As a Latinx person, I always felt this could be a fallback position for me. “What are your qualifications?” “I’m brown.” “Anything else?” “I trained myself to say ‘Latinx’ without laughing.”
Well, sometimes it’s tough to be on the right side of history. You were fine with forcing Texas to endure illegal immigration. Maybe this will give you some perspective on why it’s not evil for a country to control it’s border. You know, the way that literally every country in the world does. Eh, that would require a liberal to be capable of thought and reflection.
It’s fine but forgettable. I wouldn’t say it’s “female centered” so much as egalitarian. There’s parity of men and women in prominent roles but it feels organic, as in these characters are involved for logical reasons, rather than some girlboss muscling her way into the story to put the men in their place. And, because Scientologist man is based, they’re good looking gals to boot. A couple of the action sequences, while inventive, go a little long.
The "fictional characters don't have agency" complaint is insane to me. Centuries of literary theory and analysis thrown out the door because some zoomer had the mind-blowing revelation that it's fiction. Bizarrely, rather than use this knowledge to dismiss fiction altogether, as it's not real, they instead decided that characters are real enough to be victims who need to be championed. YOU can't say Bayonetta has a sexy, sassy personality that compels her to wear lingerie armor. After all, she's just some made up character! However, the zoomer can insist she's a woman (what's a woman?) who has been forced into that skimpy clothing by perverted game developers for the benefit of their depraved customers. To play Bayonetta is literally to partake in sexual slavery.
It’s depressing to know that most liberals would eagerly back the FBI up on such a claim. They’d do it because they’ve been told Elon is super evil and will do anything to own him, even if it means giving the government carte blanche to stomp civil liberties.
I’m not bothering. As a Puerto Rican, I find it rather insulting. In an interview, the director (also Latino) bragged about how he made a scene—which has nothing to do with immigration—feel like an ICE raid. Because apparently the ONLY story that can be told with Hispanics is that they’re illegal immigrants. Same thing happened in that last Terminator movie.
Why did you upload this one, though? What does this have to do with anything?
