So how long until Italy starts taking knives off the shelves like New Zealand did a week ago?

On the surface, I say good for him. He can make Wokeopolis, and people can see what actually happens to it in reality.

But, I must say, is his brain all there? Trying to build your sustainable utopia in a desert seems like a bad starting premise.

"The executive order the White House is expected to release later today making vaccination a condition of employment for federal employees is a step the government, as an employer, has the legal right to take," union President Tony Reardon said in a statement.

You know what else are things an employer can legally do? Cut your wages. Cut your hours. Cut your benefits. Fire every single one of you. Are you're saying you wouldn't protest any of those, in which case why does your union exist? Or are you just saying this one is (D)ifferent?

they usually have daddy issues.

We already established they are feminists. Why are you repeating yourself?

Oh, race is not biologically real? So we is all Kangz now! Where's my Affirmative Action bonuses?

Edit: Looking at the list, their first point is race isn't biological, but then they go on to say that the BIPOC crew needs special treatment because of low academic success. But if race isn't biological, then BIPOC is meaningless. How do their brains survive like this?

20,800 people have died in the United States from COVID-19 in the past two weeks

Oh noes! How scary! .006% (yes, less than 1% of 1% of the US population died with the coof! How will people cope with 6 in 100,000 people dying? Sure, I'm being callous to the families of the people - probably overwhelmingly senior citizens - who have died, but it's a tiny number and nothing we've done for a year and a half has had any noticeable difference.

Hospitalizations have grown, with seven U.S. states - Alaska, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Kentucky, Tennessee and Washington - reporting records this month.

Hawaii. An island that has had strict restrictions on travel for months, which currently demands you either get the jab, get tested, or quarantine for 10 days before being allowed to get off the boat or plane. As I said before, nothing we've done for the last year and a half has had any noticeable difference.

**** off, CDC.

I have in the past, but it's just too depressing due to the number of people who actually think like that IRL.

I was feeling the same way about the reverse psychology bit, but then realized "Thirsty Sword Lesbians" sounds like a game I have no interest in playing otherwise.

Haven't looked at it myself yet. But Arch did a review of it and in his opinion it seems pretty good. And he's usually good at pointing out Wokeness and didn't comment on much.

That's an easy one, though.

"Pick out who you want to die right now!"

"OK, if I have to. Since you're insisting you know how to run my life better than me, I'll pick you!"

So, story number 9742 of Twitteratis saying "All the hospitals are overwhelmed!" when they've been wrong pretty much every time. And, as usual, nothing is done.

Learn how to math, little girl. Oh no, 650,000 people! Over a year and a half, in a country of 330,000,000!. That means not even 0.2% of the population. And not only is that people dying WITH the coof, not people dying FROM the coof. And that's heavily skewed towards people who were already approaching death's door.

Oh, and the US is far from the worst country in terms of deaths per capita (most of Europe is worse than the US), and the US is doing better than Australia in terms of deaths per case.

In what world does that possibly justify even a fraction of your authoritarian BS? None I want to live in.

I don't shed any tears over the Taliban getting locked out of anything.

But, this does also serve as a good reminder that the cloud is awful for privacy and ownership. Anytime someone talks about stuff "on the cloud" replace it with the true meaning "on another person's computer". And if you store anything on another person's computer, then you're giving up ownership of it and shouldn't be surprised when your access to it gets revoked.

why would people be discouraged by allergic reactions if data shows that it only happens to 1-2%

I dunno, why did people insist on shutting down the entire world economy and going extreme authoritarian for a virus that has a 1% of 1% chance of killing you if you're under 50?

Nah. Just that they can't appropriately train the AIs to determine that it's not gorillas

Let it collapse? I'm certain they'll try to push it back but there's no way they can stop reality from eventually crashing in on them. The collapse is coming, it's just a question of when.

What did the poor pigs ever do to deserve having their grave shared with those politicos?

ailurus 16 points ago +16 / -0

Absolutely stinks for them, but

The Texas lawmaker said 500 journalists employed by the US agency and family members remain stranded in Afghanistan.

Why on earth did we need 500 journalists in Afghanistan to start with? That's just an absurd number!!

CS Lewis still wins the record for best summary of things today:

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience. They may be more likely to go to Heaven yet at the same time likelier to make a Hell of earth. This very kindness stings with intolerable insult. To be "cured" against one's will and cured of states which we may not regard as disease is to be put on a level of those who have not yet reached the age of reason or those who never will; to be classed with infants, imbeciles, and domestic animals.

Well, if they're like most younger liberals I think classifying them as an environmental hazard is a good idea. I mean, we've all seen the photos of CHAZ, Extinction Riot, etc. I believe.

"Science" has been biased for at least a decade now. Anyone who can look at the last two years and still trust "the experts" it is flat-out insane, but the rot has been there for years - the "Feminist Glacier" paper is 5.5 years old at this point.
