Claire Lehmann of Quillette attacks Tim Pool over his justified criticism of Australia's psychotic authoritarian COVID response. Tim Pool then completely demolishes the statist whore. (archive.is)

There is no difference between an educated liberal elite and an educated conservative elite in OZ. They are a uniparty country. America is on the way there and will get there if Trumpism is thwarted.

Nor basically anywhere else. Why do you think you get basically the same thing regardless of who you vote for in parliamentary supposed democracies? They're mostly lawyers and other "educated" elites, which means that they went to university and learned obedience to established orthodoxy.

Oz is lost, it is no longer a nation but a prison. The fact that the Australians aren't doing violence to the politicians enacting this shit and the police and others enforcing it, when it has already killed children by denying them surgery, let alone the tyranny and terror used with such glee from the police on media, protesters, children playing outside and people going for walks is shocking to me.

They've accepted their fate, rolled over and are showing their necks. If they do not fight back they deserve what they get, because their failure in fighting back will mean other governments will do the same to their citizens.

And prey tell, how is it over in America with access to your guns? Have you led a violent revolution to overthrow your leaders yet? I'm sure that recount will matter soon, won't it? No, because we're in the same boat. Establishment so far removed from the populace they use the military as a shield. And even the average citizen has so little power that even if they do organize said establishment can just displace them because they control everything.

So just think for a second and realize this isn't just an Aus problem. People here never had a choice and couldn't do anything either, so blaming an entire country to lacking spirit is just glow posting at this point.

Yeah Australia and America are not in the same boat.

Australia's boat is about five miles ahead of America's going in the same direction.

Ashli Babbitt was murdered for protesting while being unarmed. Just imagine the massacre they would have inflicted if they actually had arms. Hell, that is an excuse for ever greater repression.

The latter, every few hours or so. I can always tell when my biggest fan comes online.

Well it would seem the truckers made good on their promise to shut down all deliveries. You can find bids of it online, and I'd say that is a fairly effective form of protest. Though if it fails, then sadly I fear so do the last remaining peaceful options.

Claire: "If [sic] spent the last 5 years of my life being called a Nazi by the hard left."

Then proceeds to call left-wing Tim "the right": https://archive.is/yyXZZ

Then she proceeds to go full retard:

I must have missed the time when American conservatives were chiding Australia for being equivalent to Nazi Germany regarding our policies on illegal immigration -- (equally as authoritarian as anything that's happening now)

Claire, honey...you never go full retard.

Another part of Australian culture that Americans don't understand, is that we don't fear our government.

You should really fucking start.

We don't fear our government

Pigs don't fear their farmers, either.

Reminds me of a Meat Loaf song: "In The Land of The Pigs, the Butcher is King"

While sung from the perspective of, arguably, a vampire; it still fits the perspective of really any authoritarian, particularly of our current elites.

Typical Sydney elitist thinks she can speak on behalf of all Australians. Please don't think we are all like her.

She’s a women. She knows she must submit to someone to survive, and she prefers government over submitting to a free man. She would rather have men enslaved a long side her than let men live free.

You fucked up, as we all did. We let the children vote and hold power.

Claire has been absolute SHIT lately, glad to see Beanie Man put down his milk & toast to get off the fence and call her out.

Yes, she is pretty obnoxious, but in this case, her objection seems to be comparisons between a 2 week quarantine camp and 'death camps'.

Why the fuck has this pandemic convinced you that open borders are a good thing? Quarantining foreign travellers is not authoritarianism, it's what we should have been doing properly from the start.

Quarantining foreign travelers is the least of this shit and nobody cares about that specifically

Learn how to math, little girl. Oh no, 650,000 people! Over a year and a half, in a country of 330,000,000!. That means not even 0.2% of the population. And not only is that people dying WITH the coof, not people dying FROM the coof. And that's heavily skewed towards people who were already approaching death's door.

Oh, and the US is far from the worst country in terms of deaths per capita (most of Europe is worse than the US), and the US is doing better than Australia in terms of deaths per case.

In what world does that possibly justify even a fraction of your authoritarian BS? None I want to live in.

There you go again, after attacking Tucker Carlson and Donald Trump as 'controlled opposition'. Like I said, you will soon have excommunicated the entire world.

I don’t deny that Australia has turned towards authoritarianism in many aspects of its policy. I’m living it. But allusions to death camps is unnecessary.

I've been critical of some of the most inflammatory characterisations of Australia's recent turn towards authoritarianism ("building camps," etc) but this piece by @conor64 is both accurate and devastating

If BLM protests slowed COVID but Sturgess spread it you can see why quarantine camps are the first step towards concentration camps

He's right, she's wrong.

She's offering little opposition to and apologizing for their actions.

This is really the crux of it. Leftists have operated in bad faith with obvious double standards every step of the way, so they'll have to forgive us if we imagine the literal quarantine camps might be backed by ill intent.

Also as (darkly, and from afar) amusing as the concept of "wellcamp" is, actually Wellcamp is name of the city and its airport and it's just a coincidence.

These are the sort of things that you would think would be considered when establishing something. But I suppose that is too far beyond the ability of the average politician, and meme magic is both real, and a bitch.
