Smith: I'm not sure if you're aware, so excuse me if this is patronizing, but the phrase "three-body problem" comes from Newtonian physics. It turns out that if you have a two-body problem -- meaning, for instance, that only the earth and sun exist -- then you can solve the problem 'analytically', meaning that you can write done some sort of elliptical function that tells you how the two things are going to move for eternity.
But... if there are three bodies... say, the earth, sun and moon... then no such solutions exist. And, even worse, the solutions (which can only come via computer) are chaotic -- at least in principal (in reality, the absolute massiveness of the sun prevents most of the chaos).
I mention this because the conceit of the book is that a third body is around, which severely affects the Earth's ecosystem. It makes growing season unpredictable etc. Anyway, the upshot of this 'third body' is that the story is incredibly tedious. Now, if you're a 'believer', meaning that you actually think that we'll colonize Mars etc, then you might find it interesting. But as someone who notices that we can't even fill potholes... well, science has pretty much fallen off the map for me.

Just the fact that they...didn't! There were death-books from Auschwitz, which were quite meticulous, but they only documented deaths in the 10,000's. These deaths were attributed to typhus.
The 'holocaust' deaths are completely undocumented. And the two main repositories of 'evidence' -- Treblinka/Belzec -- have never been investigated because, of course, that would mean 'desecrating the bodies'... that may/may-not be there.
Well... there was an informal investigation done by an Australian Geophysicist who used ground-penetrating radar to prove that the ground hadn't been disturbed, and thus 800K bodies could not be buried there... But then the jews threatened him, and paved Belzec over with jagged concrete so that no one could ever do any research.
Totally reasonable, right!
Also, Levi Strauss' 'criticism' of American culture is pretty infantile in itself. Baseball is a very cerebral game; Americans actually worked on the 'toy-cars' with their hands; and hobbies like hunting or HAM radio are not at all childish.
I'm embarrassed that I used to read that sort of stuff -- you know, when I was infantile.
...They game a lot of these tests to make it look like chicks are 'smart'.
The reality is that chicks are great at doing what they're told, so they make fantastic classical musicians.
They suck at creativity, which is why there are (almost) no chick rock guitarists.
Freespeech: You are clearly arguing in good faith. The problem here is that you don't seem to have learned the lessons of the last 8+ years.
Certain (((talmudic))) people are effectively the only major force in the world who think that 'morality' is something that the commons can decide rationally. In fact, (((they))) don't actually believe that, but they've convinced Western society to believe it.
That's why you say that it's not 'based' to disallow sexual encounters between consenting people. This is insane, and can only lead to the destruction of society, as we're seeing in real-time, right before our eyes.
Morality is always associated with religion, but it's not actually religious in origin -- it's simply an exposition of what must be done in order to have a functioning society. This is why disparate religions like Islam, Christianity and Hinduism are all roughly the same as far as day-to-day life goes. They all abhor the exact same things.

This makes no sense.
