I predicted almost exactly what would happen partway into the second episode of that season. Really predictable stuff.

Still, there were a few good moments in the season or two after it. But after that the show just got really fucking stupid. After the third "idyllic safe haven is destroyed because of mad dictator ex machina" plot I checked right out.

Nobody in my life has any idea how far right I am. I believe myself to be closer to center right on an objective scale, but genocidal Twitter communists believe themselves to be center left so self-assessment doesn't mean a whole lot.

Regardless, I am significantly farther right than anyone else I know, but as far as they're concerned I'm largely apolitical with a mild anti-woke streak. I will never reveal my true beliefs until it is safe to do so, and that's not happening without a civil war.

It's such a movie villain thing to say. It's also proof positive that all leftists are wannabe tyrants.

To be fair, the show doesn't depict Lucifer as Satan. He tried to rebel against God, and he's the ruler of hell, but he's neither evil nor responsible for evil. He's more like the angel equivalent of a spoiled teenage brat who ran away from home so he could do drugs. In the show universe, there is no such thing as good and evil. It's pretty full of itself and has a lot of normie opinions disguised as revelations, as it were, but it definitely doesn't try to claim Satan is a good guy. It claims Satan doesn't exist, which depending on who you ask could be worse.

FUN FACT: The Bee Movie script is only about 9000 words long, which makes Justice Killwhitey's average remarks 2000 words longer than a feature film.

This woman is legitimately retarded.

It showed that he had overdosed on drugs, but the cause of death was still listed as asphyxiation for political reasons.

It's like if you fell out of an airplane and someone shot you on the way down. You were as good as dead already, but someone else beat nature to the punch.

I don't think it's totally unlikely, but there are a few issues that make it more difficult than simply making a new game called Totally Not Mario RPG.

For one, there's a lot of bitterness between Square and Nintendo. They started making PSX games after years of making flagship titles for the NES and SNES. In response, when Nintendo wanted to make what was functionally Mario RPG 2 - Superstar Saga - they went with another company: AlphaDream. To make matters worse, AlphaDream had a bunch of former Square employees in it, including Chihiro Fujioka, one of the directors of Mario RPG. So Nintendo basically responded to the breakup by dating Square's sister. And considering Square Enix is still lead by a number of the same Square people of that era, and considering Japanese culture, that's an issue.

There's also the fact that AlphaDream, despite having exclusive rights to the series, went bankrupt. It's possible that the formula is simply played out and no longer profitable. Or maybe we just need another few years for the winds to shift.

I wouldn't count it out, especially given how popular nostalgia games are, but I don't know how likely it is for Square and Nintendo to get along enough to make it not simply happen, but be as good as everyone expects. Considering how nicely the Enix side has been playing with Nintendo, I wouldn't be shocked if it happened, but I'd lean more on Nintendo simply developing another M&L in house.

I'm like that with certain things that struck my autism in a certain way. Once you've infodumped something after months or years of deep diving it you don't really even talk about surface level stuff any more.

Like, imagine Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen talking basketball. Are they going to be like "hey Scottie have you ever noticed that basketballs are orange"? No, they're talking exclusively high level shit, because that's all that's left for them.

I hate to brag, but I would consider myself the Scottie Pippen of Super Mario RPG. Impressive, I know. If I talk to someone about it, I'm naturally going to gravitate toward obnoxious minutia like level up rotations and translation trivia because I've already done everything else to death.

90% of the replies that actually have some personal experience with the game are like "I have done one trillion raids and have never had any problem, BUT WHAT IF I DID HAVE A PROBLEM WHAT THEN OMFG STAY SAFE XOXO".

They're pathologically paranoid for no reason at all. I could understand if even a single one of them had been raped trying to catch a Zapdos or whatever, but literally not one of them has a story like that. It's all purely hypothetical. Yet they're absolutely sure that one of these days those evil, evil men are going to kill them for no reason, because that's how Twitter told them the world works.

Tim and Eric are peak Reddit humor: unstructured nonsense that relies entirely on cues so the audience knows when to pretend it's funny. It's like a hyper-literal autist read the Wikipedia article for surrealism and thought "yes, I can do that".

It's so fucking bad I seriously wonder if the entire thing isn't a no soap radio kind of thing at the audience's expense.

Almost every comment is someone lavishing praise upon one of the actors/the director, explicitly calling them by their full name. Literally nobody is talking about the contents of the actual trailer.

I've seen some astroturf, but it's rarely this blatant.

I tried. It said I have "pending transactions" and thus my account cannot be closed. Obviously bullshit, as I rarely use it and the last charge was weeks ago.

I did delete my bank account so they can't plunder it in the name of equity and tolerance. I'm never using them again.

I grew up watching Will Smith, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Chris Tucker, Bill Cosby, Keenan and Kel, the list goes on. Never thought anything of it. At the risk of sounding like a boomer, I really didn't notice their race. When I watched Rush Hour I wasn't focusing on the fact that neither protagonist was white, because I didn't care, because it was a good movie that utilized their differences well.

But be honest. If a movie with an Asian/black duo came out today, what would your first thought be? If you said "I bet this is going to be woke race-baiting trash", you're far from alone. Which is a real shame. Rush Hour is one of my favorite movies, but today I'd never even give it a chance, and for good reason. Fool me once, and all that.

Hyrule warriors is legitimately awesome. Controls great, good variety of characters and weapons, and let's not forget the fact that the primary antagonist is weirdly booba-focused for a Zelda game.

It's my favorite in the genre, definitely.
