And besides, even if people were fired for Tweet liking, HR is in the business of hiding that stuff like it's crown jewels.
Odds are you are violating some HR policy at work without even knowing it. 15 years ago it was internet use. Everyone spent all day on Facebook and EBay and the company never cared. Until they decided that they wanted to fire you for cause and then they have your browsing logs for the entire time you worked there to use against you. It didn't matter that everyone else was doing it.
I imagine everyone just uses their phone for web browsing now, so computer misuse is probably out of fashion as the de facto "misconduct" used to fire people. I'm sure they've got something new though.
The left is so depressingly predictable that shit like this doesn't outrage me anymore. I've long ago decided the only solution is violence. I'm just waiting for a critical mass of people to reach the same conclusion and shit to kick off.
You don't drink it because it tastes good, none of it tastes good...You drink it because it's cheap and you can drink it all afternoon.
Why would you want to drink something that tastes like crap all afternoon? I'll either take a strong mixed drink like a mai tai and ride the buzz or take something like sangria for a lightly alcoholic fruit punch you can drink all day. If I want beer, I'll get something German or a quality microbrew.
Life's too short for cheap booze.
Imagine having people like her and Biden, who are basically vegetables, in office 50 or 100 years ago. They don't even bother to try and pretend that the US government is legitimate anymore.
Things aren't going to fix themselves. The time for elections and talk is long past. Change my mind.
Why would anyone be surprised? India is a filthy, overcrowded shithole, and immigrants from there will just bring the same attributes that make that country so awful to the west.
I feel zero sympathy for post-colonial countries. It's entirely the fault of their citizens that they are so awful. Look at countries like Japan and Korea to see what all these other rat nests could have done with the last 75 years.
LieMax.
This has been a contentious topic for years: https://www.slashfilm.com/519043/qa-imax-theatre-real-imax-liemax/
TLDR: Digital IMAX was designed to be a cheaper alternative to IMAX that can be retrofit into existing theaters. It's subjectively "better" than a regular movie, but does not replicate the experience of something that was shot on physical 70MM film stock.
The issue is the theaters will call digital IMAX simply "IMAX" and charge the increased ticket price. There are usually only one or two theaters within hundreds of miles that are real IMAx, so unless a movie is being shown there it's not IMAX regardless what what they call it.
Simple: non-citizens should be prohibited from owning property. Most countries do this, including shitholes like Mexico. China (the country of origin for most of these homebuyers who are just using them to stash assets out of reach of the CCP) doesn't let anyone own property-you just lease it from the government.
Give them 1 year to sell it, and after that the state sizes it and auctions it off. Problem solved.
If I owned a business based on Sam Francisco (or CA in general), I would move it to another state ASAP. Let that shithole wither on the vine.
The first was good. It got some things right that the 1980s film got wrong- like the ornithopters. The Baron Harkonnen wasn't as outrageous a caricature either.
I'm personally partial to the late 1800s european great powers vibe of the old movie. Certainly the last quarter of it was very rushed , but honestly original book was the same way.
a notable race and gender swap of a character.
Kynes?
Spoiler: I'm guessing they dropped the subplot of him being the leader of the Fremen and Chani's father. Certainly the latter, because a black woman can only be a father in a liberal's fever dreams.
There is a vast difference between a Black woman comparing her personal experiences of racism in two countries and a blanket statement that one is worse than the other.
I guess she was using the royal "we".
Such bullshit. When she said "The racism we experience is far worse here than there.” she was referring to the experience of black people in general. Exactly what they're saying she is not doing.
To be fair, you can find almost anything on GSA Advantage. It's like Amazon; government approved vendors dump their entire inventory on there.
Did anyone check "Rebecca" for an Adam's apple?
In a functioning society they would quickly be arrested and their fat asses thrown in jail. They do this shit with impunity because they know the government won't do anything about it.
Trump just has too much baggage. Plus, the democrats have a hard on for destroying him, so he'll galvanize and mobilize their voters in a way other candidates wouldn't. DeSantis has a better chance to win the presidency IMO. It would be a shame if he loses the primary and Trump goes on the lose the general.
The Philippines is rotten with ladyboys though. I mean one of their biggest TV stars is a (bad) crossdresser.
Well, she manipulated me into not tuning in to watch.
I've seen that. I had a friend that worked a customer service line. They were required to take every call and run the issue to resolution, but at the same time were punished if they didn't clear so many calls per hour.
The employee's solution? If a call seemed too complicated or that it would take too long, they would hang up and pretend that they just got disconnected. See also those Wells Fargo branches that were creating fake accounts to meet corporate new account targets.
When a business asks for irrational or contradictory performance by employees, they will find the path of least resistance where they don't get into trouble.
I picked up Ghost Recon Wildlands and the Division for around $15 each from Walmart a few years ago. I enjoyed them, particularly Ghost Recon, where it was basically a single player campaign where you could bring your friends along too.
Yes, the games did make me create a stupid Ubisoft account, but one of the benefits of having a game on disc is that if I choose to reinstall it and they deleted that fucker, I could always just create a new one.
The “enhancements” punished Alberts by doubling or even tripling his guideline range.
So, it should be obvious to anyone with a brain that they are deliberately overcharging and over sentencing the January 6th people to send a message that if you mess with the government like that they will destroy you.
And, for around 90% of the people who might be tempted to participate in something like January 6th in the future, the message probably works. But for the rest, they're getting a different but equally valid message: if you do this, you go all the way. You bring weapons and you kill whoever you think you need to. Anything less than complete victory means you're going to rot in prison for the rest of your life so in for a penny, in for a pound.
Coupled with the relatively lenient treatment BLM protesters got for far more violent and destructive activities, the message they're sending is that the government is no longer legitimate, and our laws and courts are simply to be used as a bludgeon by the left to punish their political opponents on the right.
Maybe it's just me, but I don't think that's the smartest message the government should be sending to people that aren't happy with it right now.
It took me a bit to figure out what the title was referring to because it's buried near the end of the article:
But the most outrageous enhancement was for “lying on the stand.” Among other things, the judge found Alberts lied on the stand by testifying he hadn’t seen any “restricted” signs, despite a Capitol police officer saying there were lots of signs around the Capitol on J6. Prosecutors produced no evidence that any signs were directly in Alberts’ path on J6.
And Judge Cooper held that Alberts’ testimony was false when he said his bungee cords in his backpack were left in his backpack at all times.
So, was he convicted of perjury? I'm going to say no because the article didn't mention it. So here's the rub: it would be 100% illegal and impossible for the government to imprison you for lying on the stand without a perjury conviction. However, they can apparently increase the sentence for another crime by just saying "I don't believe you."
I'm dismayed but not surprised at this. The government has all sorts of weasel ways to actually circumvent your rights to due process.
New York is just going to be visually actualized.
What eloquence.
No, no, you've got it all wrong. "My cup runneth over" means too much good fortune, right? Well, the left loves illegals, so inundating NYC with them is just giving them more good fortune than they could imagine.
Oh, if only that were true...
