No, with the amount of drone use, this is close to early access Arc Raiders..

Yeah there's A LOT in the works to defend against drones from microwaves, spamming them with radio waves to lasers but none of them are currently deployable.

And I'd prefer not just going full Russian and relying only on shotguns for drone defense..

Heard the second pilot was essentially being guarded by a reaper drone the entire time that was targeting any military aged Iranian men. So some drone operator was playing an IRL extraction shooter..

In terms of equipment lost, that's not really anything to the US and no this isn't me saying 'The US is invincible!', it's been standard procedure even in WW2 that military doctrine is equipment means less than US soldiers lives, you can see how the sherman tank was designed so crews had more chance to bail, run away and just get a new tank. And in modern day how much they leave equipment everywhere (cough Afghanistan)

The issue is, they do have SOME air defense but is it based on range since they hit low flying ground attackers not the B52s or B1 bombers and American ground forces were able to LAND in the Iranian interior, carry out a successful extraction and get out without any casualties.

I worry this might escalate things given the events as they are might give the wrong lessons to both sides especially that American ground forces are superior even outnumbered inside Iran.

Aw, is the company you were working for firing you because everything you make loses money?

Welcome to reality bitch.

The fact that there is a 50/50 chance this is real is mind blowing.

To restore sanity, just know that Trump gave a Christian Easter message while the King of Britain, head of the church of England, skipped his Easter message but did a Ramadan message before. Just because the western establishments largely hate Christians..

They're not as bad since they still have castle doctrine and open carry.

Imagine a leftist hell hold with ZERO protections for self defence especially preventative measures like having a weapon.

I think that's long been the pattern, the trucker protest was the early warning and a lot of the more vocal critics of the Canadian establishment got themselves and families to the US knowing that Canada is beyond saving at this point.

Best you can do is literally break away from it until Toronto is left isolated.

This is good as out of all religions, Christianity has more avenues of progress for humanity.

Only problem is which denomination and institution in charge of said church given the Vatican and the heads of the Church of England cucked and Evengelicals are wishing for an apocalypse...

I'm semi joking but tell me that the past month hasn't kind of looked like the intro to game EndWar?

Just in that version, EVERYONE was more competent...

SocraticMethod1 15 points ago +15 / -0

Was this after or before the recent announcement that apparently the US took out another 50 high ranking Iranian officials today?

This is just showing that so many countries really lack proper air defences or the trained crews to use them effectively and have been too reliant on another power to back them up.

SocraticMethod1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Tell that to the generals they keep removing, ask Stalin that it never works out to do that before an invasion.

On the plus side, that led to the White Death having a massive kill count..

If anything, it's Iran that captured the US Soldier and hasn't announced it specifically so the USA continues their search

That doesn't make any sense, given the amount of AI propaganda Iran made of them capturing US servicemen, why wouldn't they parade an ACTUAL captured US solider like Iraq did to the British during the Gulf War?

Iran wouldn't be able to do a ground invasion, if they've destroyed ALL water desalination plants in the gulf, you've just destroyed all reliable water sources in the Gulf, Iran would invade a desert wasting resources and leaving their men to die after getting past the A10s straffing them crossing then having a lack of water as the Saudis left abandon the foreign labour there while they retreat to the few sources of water left

It'd be as bad as if the Nazis actually did Operation Sealion..

If you mean everyone hates Isreal is Iran winning, that was happening BEFORE this war.

In terms of overall, I'd call Iran having a pyrrhic victory, ironically the same level as Israel only Israel HAS the resources and connections to start bunkering it's people in other countries, Iranians are trapped in that area.

As for China rebuilding the Gulf, that would take half a decade at least to do, something they can't afford to do if they still want to take Taiwan militarily as that window is closing more and more.

SocraticMethod1 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then why is Israel actively targeting ANY Iranian looking to negotiate with the US, like they want Iran to follow through?

It's bad on bad for Iran but in regards to both China and Russia, both sides won't care about their own public opinion, if Iran devastes the Gulf, Chinese leadership will focus elsewhere for resources, and Russia will try to leverage itself as a major energy provider....which is why Ukraine is focusing more drone strikes on Russian energy installations.

Pragmatism is...they should've just blocked off the strait and ONLY hit clear US and Israeli targets. Allowing strikes on energy and targets that can be interpreted as civilian weakened Iran's hand. Combine that with the Sunni/Shia divide in that region and I'm just glad no one there has nukes or this would literally be a Tom Clancy book...

Who knows, as according to the media right now, Iranians are running around looking for a downed pilot, shooting small arms at search helicopters.

US has officially rescued one, I'd kind of laugh if they secretly rescued the other and they had the IRG running around, chasing their tails for the propaganda bonanza of a captured US pilot for them to be struck while distracted.

But at this point, Iran is fucked as if they follow through, in their weakened state, EVERY Gulf state will have a vendetta against them for life for shutting off the energy in the Gulf and there's a high chance China would abandon them as no longer useful. Best bet is make a deal with the US as Israel is actively sabotaging that hoping Iran cripples the Gulf.

It's like they expect Israel to be nuked by EVERYONE.

Wtf are they going to reveal to cause that? That Israel has a hell portal underneath Tel Aviv?

This is to maintain a system where house worth is treated like savings not as a property to build a family in.

We point to 2020 and 2014 as big times of change, I'm starting to suspect 2008 housing crash scared the Boomers enough that led to them putting housing worth above EVERYTHING else.

Ok, now the rest, there a few that can stay like RFK Jr, Tom Homan, Vance, Tulsi etc but you need attack dogs where there were puppies in some of these positions.

I just loved it for the reminder of how shit Ubisoft's reputation is now.

People will knock on EA, Activision, Bungie etc but fumbling the bag with an AC game set in Japan seems to have killed any goodwill left.

I saw one post on YouTube that Ubisoft aquired Helldivers 2.

I chuckled at the collective yells of NOOOOO before they realised the date then collectively sighed in relief.

I didn't mind him in 12 years a slave though that film I'd only watch once, too heavy, could only watch it on a plane flight.

But overall he's a great supporting actor. He can be the main actor but he's good at elevating the other characters near him like in The Martian.

SocraticMethod1 9 points ago +9 / -0

Unfortunately there are ones that want this with the promise that we cause the apocalypse in a nuclear war so 'Jesus returns'...

I'd prefer they just become a pariah state and left isolated.

Underrated film for what it was, I particularly love this scene as you see the old soldiers emotional while the young ones confused at seeing a baby, allowing them to pass safetly till one of the insurgents fires on them, making them fight back with more ferocity now they have something to protect again.

I hope this does well as Kane pixels, the guy who made all those backrooms videos was involved in this and A24 approached him and involved him to make it.

The main actor here is Chiwetel Ejiofor who was the operative in Serenity and the main guy in 12 years a slave so well known. Let's see as if they allow Kane to convey the horror of an endless maze that is based of something slightly familiar, it might work out.
