I'm bringing this up because of the latest news that Bungie is stopping live support of Destiny 2 after the next update, probably to desperately focus on Marathon. But you combine it with:

• Ubisoft circling the drain

• A game getting review bombed to hell as a link to Anita was found

• Shift Up has abandoned Sony publication just as Sony desperately try to rename woke game Fairgame$ to salvage ANY return

• Asian studios cutting ties to western studios in general

It does feel like we are reaching the endgame now where it will be 'purge the left or die' at a lot of these studios, it's just a matter of is there anything left to save in some of them?

Late getting this out, nearly Spring already! Been busy with things recently that hard to catch every show I wanted to see so hopefully others can fill in the blanks. Further Adou:

Actually I read the Manga

Noble Reincarnation: Born blessed so I'll obtain ultimate power: now first something that can confuse people, the MC is NOT a person Reincarnated from OUR world but someone from that world of a lower class. This is more focused on the royal and noble courts, the duties of being nobility and effectively gaininv status in the court. His power is gained through LOYAL followers which means he not only gains power but can see loyalty so if you enjoy political intrigue, this'll be for you.

Easy going territory defence by the optimistic Lord: This one is more on the 'MC cast out because viewed to have a useless skill but turns out op' type not to say it's not fun. I didn't enjoy how they underplayed his ability as around episode 8-****9 he should've had mobile balista tanks than a small squad with repeating crossbows but they did remove censorship of two massive amounts of plot so can forgive them. If you want something similar but more off the wall, recommend the Manga The amazing Village creator: Slow living with the Village building cheat skill as it has the world's most terrifying Granny..

There was a cute girl in the Hero's party, so I tried confessing to her: MC is Reincarnated into a demon of the demon lords army, like the boss before the demon lord (even though he's stronger) and the hero's party is defeated easily by him but he always returns them safetly to a nearby human Village after. After many times of this, he gives them the choice to pass if they have their cleric stay with him, thry accept and rather than it be anything sinister, he confesses he finds her cute, that was once human and decides after they defeat the demon lord, live among humans to get close to the cleric. Light hearted series.

Heavy hitters

Frieren S2: Our favourite Elf is back showing us the merits of justified racism. Only character that I think could match her is if we get an anime of The knight king who returned with a God

Sentenced to be a Hero: not seen it all but liking it so far, a world where being a hero who can be resurrected is given to the most serious of criminals to be used as disposable assets in a war against demons.

preference choices

Hell's Paradise S2: seems to have not been as mentioned as much but still got the great art, world and characters.

Trigun Stargaze: now I know, CGI, that will be a red line for a lot of people but so far this studio uses it effectively and early into the second season but seems good.

That's it fir now, add any I missed as I wanted to watch Kaya-chan isn't scary but didn't get round to it and Oshi no Ko S3 as heard season is good but I know how the author had a tantrum and ruined the ending as a result so on the fence on getting invested.

Place your bets, slap on the wrist, more of a show sentence or actual consequences.

And how bad and compromised does it make the US DOJ look when even the cucked establishment of the UK can at least ARREST a former Royal and yet not ONE arrest from the files state side....

I remember doing a post discussing season 1, and ALL the issues with it. Now that this season is over and we're very likely to get a season 3, wanted to share my thoughts as this is Amazon and Bethesda's main pull right now so much that Bethesda keeps adding free creation mods relating to the show for Fallout 4....while not fixing the ISSUES of Fallout 4...I digress so spoilers from now on just read TLDR at the bottom if you don't want them.

The issue with the first season was these main points:

  1. Vault-Tec now the big enemy dropping the bomb and somehow roping in figures like Mr House to be part of the experimental vault design

  2. NCR obliterated now shattered remnants and a group little better than raiders that end up getting wiped out by BoS

  3. BoS being religious to the point of parody

  4. Only one of the main characters was worth watching

  5. Over use of mcguffin

So how did season 2 address this? Well for one, the House we saw season 1 was a stand in, a body double for the real Mr house and he is now back in play.

The cold fusion mcguffin it seems has now stopped being used as the plot driver as it was used to bring back Mr House. The focus seems to be the Enclave who will be the big bad and the ones who started the Great War.

The NCR are back in enough numbers and firepower to be relevant, taking over freeside if not the strip. This as Legion remnants quit infighting and move on New Vegas.

The character problem is still an issue, Lucy is STILL as naive as ever, only now getting suitable punishment for it from crucifixion to almost mind controlled, both times rescued by the Ghoul. Maximus is a bit better, having seperated from the Brotherhood and doing his thing following the Ghoul then fighting the deathclaws in NCR power armour.

Cooper got the most backstory again showing how because he got suckered into 'the right thing', he gave the president, the secret leader of the Enclave Cold fusion actually leading to the bombs dropping. Norm is unfortunately under played though he may have single handly ended the experiment in his vault. The BoS were shown to be several chapters that don't all act religious, commonwealth seems the most powerful even though all they sent was a representative to the West coast and now the teaser is that West Coast BoS after some infighting at Area 51 might be building a Liberty Prime...

Now does this satisfy me as a gamer who knows the lore? No as I am tired of the Enclave being used as the 'can't think of anything, er, Enclave is back!' solution. Not to mention how pominent fractions are wiped out as a footnote like The Kings. But it was competent enough to keep the more Normie crowd invested so didn't fall into a Witcher or Rings of Power pit. I also found it interesting there were no girl bosses in this season as Lucy ALWAYS needed saving in the end, the vault overseers were run circles around by a inbred support group and the most passive guy ever and Cooper's wife we thought was the big bad, turns out her divorce and decisions were by Cooper's direction and just playing along to protect their daughter from the still secret at the time Enclave which is interesting.

TLDR: season 2 competent enough to keep normies enganged and not directly piss off gamers.

I'm seeing all the round ups of 2025 happening right now so thought I'd ask what people make of it as it's been chaotic to say the least.

In my opinion, the left have lost the culture war, have greatly lost the economic dominance they once had as seen by media companies collapsing and their last hold out of the establishment is diminishing greatly. The only problem is they KNOW they are losing so are going scorched earth with the remaining tools they have like the judiciary in the US or the indoctrinated crazies they have like the troons.

But that ACTUALLY seems to be the side show. The growing fight seems to be between Gen Z and some millennials vs the boomers as a huge generation divide seems to have reach it's peak with even 'Gen Z coups' happening in multiple countries, the most dramatic of which is Nepal. From what I can gather, Gen Z seems to have had enough of Boomers sitting on their hands, saying everything will work out and they should just do what they did when they were that age and Gen Z would rather burn the system down they feel has no interest in them.

The rise in internet censorship by western governments seem to be the last acts of old institutions realising the younger generation has grown to hate them and are hoping to deny them the few communities they have to indoctrinate them again, not realising that ship has sailed. 2026 is going to be interesting as we may see another shift thanks this divide being more prominent.

Just a small funny story, here's a video about it but the tldw:

  1. Blue archive organises a 'influencer campaign' with 4 people meant to stream with Twitch drops

  2. BA community notice one of the listed has constantly joked or stated at times linking loli to pedophilia and get pissed at company since there are loli characters in the game so seems like they bring a hater of part of the game to promote it.

  3. BA apologises and cancel the campaign, saying next time they'll ONLY use people who align with the game.

  4. Community is happy.

Just looking at this I'm just thinking, did they learn from us or is it certain communities capable of doing this as I wish WE gatekept this well against the feminists, alphabet crazies and normies in general.

Then so many franchises wouldn't have turned to shit!

Had less time to watch all the things I wanted to with there ACTUALLY being stuff worth playing and busy work shift but just got this in before the new season, plus got 2 weeks off over Christmas to catch up!

The Heavy hitters

SpyxFamily S3: Still as great as ever, so many funny moments as well as more backstory on Loid this season.

Campfire Cooking in Another world with my Absurd Skill S2: WARNING Do NOT watch this show without food available! You WILL get hungry and your bowl of noodles or slice of toast won't cut it! Still great as ever with a pixie dragon added to the gang and two new guy gods added to the tribute gang. Also the outro is a mood.

May I ask for one final thing?: Ok classic mc is the female 'villianess' getting dumped by the prince in front of a ball, seen it all before...and she just punched the bitch into a wall...and put on knuckle duster gloves and beatdown what was nearly an Epstein party before punching out the prince that dumped her. I REALLY just enjoyed Scarlet on how gracefull she acts one scene then is kneeing a prince repeatedly in the face. Plus the outro is peak evil bitch tune.

Aquired taste

My status as an Assassin obviously exceeds the Hero's: I don't know why as although this doesn't try anything new, it reminds me of a 90s/ early 2000s anime from the art style and direction so weirdly nostalgic

A gatherers adventure in Isekai: I actually started reading this long ago but dropped it as it kept going on with jokes about how big his cock was in this new world. Glad to say they dropped that overused joke and just focused on the chill vibes and cute baby dragon.

Banished Court Magician Aims to become the strongest: nothing spectacular, I remember reading this and dropping with the same opinion, good turn off brain show or background show.

Now two I have read but couldn't get to was Hero without a Class who need skills and backstabbed in a backwater dungeon with the former being ok but seeing clips of the anime looks like it has a decent animation budget and the latter was a good revenge with progression story and also seems to have benefited from a nice animation budget.

Only caught one episode of A wild last boss appeared! so can't really judge and on my watch list easbpass the monster meat milady!, this monster wants to eat me and Tojima wants to be s Karmen Rider so if anyone watched them, let me know your impressions. I'm just glad from what I heard about it, I never bothered watching OPM S3...

...please hold all Darth Vader jokes for at least 5 minutes...

I won't gloat at his death, instead I'll use it to point out his legacy which was fucking awful. You want to know the genesis of a LOT of neocons, this fucker right here.

Want a great example of corporate interests dictating US military policy, this guy. Even got his daughter to follow his path only fortunately to get wrecked by Trump.

71

I would've done this last week but....didn't feel right if you catch my drift. Obviously didn't watch everything and behind on some so feel free to fill in the gaps. Without further adou:

I've read the Manga

Scooped up an S-Rank Adventurer: Standard 'guy gets booted from his party because he's so good they don't notice him helping them' fair. Have noticed they have changed things compared to the manga and can't tell if censored or not. It doesn't feel like creative changes like with others I see.

The Headliners

DandaDan S2: unfortunately no Creepy Nuts opening but this one isn't bad. It just feels more crazy and fun than last time with everything to suicide inducing giant worms with a cult, soccer playing possession, a musical fight and even Kaiju battle.

My Dress up Darling S2:Yep she's back, the one girl where we both appreciate the fanservice but also 'please get with HIM!' First episode along was funny with the bunny girl outfit and Gojo remembeting he is a teenage man!

Kaiju No 8 S2: Still some hyped battles and scenes though didn't feel as pulling as first season, could just be me.

Up for Personal tastes

Shield Hero S4:Nearly getting back to Season 1 quality at least, do prefer up of who he is against in this season.

Reborn as a Vending Machine S2: is still to the formula as last one only they raised the stakes with the attack of the demon lord with accomplices.

Clevatess: Now this one is interesting, episode one was double in length and features the heros getting bodied by the beast lord then their kingdom Annihilated with only a baby left alive taken by the beast lord after the pleas of a dying guardian and one of the slain heros brought back to life to serve as effectively a nanny. A lot more of a dark fantasy vibe.

Gachiakuta: A city divided in two between a prestine city where everything not perfect is dumped as trash and slums with below that a world of just trash. It's gotba nice soundtrack and visuals and not far into it but going to try to watch more of it.

Lots I haven't caught up on like Dr Stone but I will give a honourable mention to this: Takopu's Original Sin, I was planning on watching it when I was in the right mood as it's apparently dark as fuck at times but, well, never felt positive enough so put it on the back burner. Feel free for those who watched it to provide a review for that and others missed off as only one dude lol.

This was covered slightly with this post on Ironmouse but since then it's escalated quickly:

Kson did a stream saying she hasn't been paid for a year and called up the guy in charge of the Japan side to admit they only paid employers not talents, she was going to leave end of the month but she's gone now and I think she's getting her fellow Japanese talents out too.

Michi just released a video saying she's going too.

Don't have X so can't link it but Melody is gone too, Henya is apparently streaming later today where a lot of people expect her to go too (Edit:Henya's leaving Vshojo video). Think by the end of today, Monarch (Amalee), Haruka, K9Kuro will be gone. Hime might leave when Sydney remembers her password..

And in the backdrop to this we not only have the defrauding a charity with the missing half a milion, Shibuya Kaho has alluded to a vtuber agency that has an employee openly sharing real photos and status of their companies talents, many think this is Vshojo since she is close to Ironmouse. Why is this relevant, because Vshojo is based in San Fransico California and their laws FUCK employers over this kind of thing.

So yep, Vshojo crashes out before Nijisanji, who'd thunk?

Update: here's a good breakdown by False, EVERYONE has left even Hime and Froot. Artists and musicians who were commissioned in the past have come forward to say they were owed money, Kaho pretty much admits she was talking about Vshojo, they might not exist as a company by the end of the week.

Yep I'm back to do these, been busy personally and had to change due to new phone so be a shorter list plus quite the chill season this time. Without futher adou:

Actually I read the manga

From old country Bumpkin to master swordsman: This one was a good manga when I read it but what I liked most were the fight scenes and the main character. In the anime they stuck true to that to the point Shad has made video critiques on it praising it in parts and pointing out room fot improvement. It does have 3D so if that's a no go understand it's in there.

The unaware Atelier meister: this was just light hearted comedy, the mc is a guy who is COMPLETELY useless in combat but all OTHER skills are SSS grade that his porridge can cure and disease, he can build a mansion by himself in a week and his pig feed is so good, dragons fly down to have some.

I'm the Evil Lord of an intergalactic Empire: so imagine a guy REALLY fucked over in life, like he gets ntr'd, his daughter isn't his, framed for fraud, gets cancer and ss he's dying in a shoddy apartment only to be tricked into reincarnating to suffer by an evil entity....only for THAT to go tits up thanks to a certain 'good boy'....

Something to mention with this, it is DIFFERENT from the manga, timelines have been changed, new jokes and scenes added and it WORKS! I like the addition of scenes of the evil guide just fucking with people's everyday lives because he loves negative emotions.

Up to personal tastes

The Brilliant Healer's new life in the shadows: like every bad dnd/raid party, a healer who's exceptional at their job often gets accused of doing nothing at all. MC gets kicked out so starts an underground clinic but doesn't realise how exceptional it is that he can literally amputate then regrow you a new arm. I actually enjoy the deadpan delivery of the MC who asks for minimal pay after he regrows your limbs.

I've been killing slimes for 300 years and now I've maxed out my level season 2: same lighthearted comedy as last time, just nice to clear your head to.

The beginning after the end:I'll be honest, this adaptation felt disappointing. I never read the original work, was on my to read list and never got round to it. But this adaptation felt weak like God of High-school wasted potential. It's getting a season 2 so hopefully tgey improve.

That's it for me, I wanted to see Kowloon Generic Romance and A ninja and assassin under one roof but got too busy. Hopefully others can fill me in on if they're good to catch up on.
