That's the fact! Spending millions to "promote the message" was always the reason they made so much crap. If they sometimes made bank? That's just a bonus.

Money also hasn't been a limiting factor for them with Blackrock and their ESG nonsense. Need to make a propaganda piece of a video game? Sure, just put enough blacks and gays in it and here's your free hundred million to fund it or whatever. Oh it only sold three dozen copies? Doesn't matter, the point was to demoralize people through cultural vandalism, which was achieved, therefor it was a smashing success and money well spent.
This is my ongoing frustration with the pithy phrase "go woke, go broke". It presumes that the project failing to make money is at all a deterrent or failure state when it is not.

Enough normies were digging season 8 (Arya slay, Queen!) before the consensus told them not to. Regular film enjoyers saw the declining quality of writing season 5 onward. Actual fantasy diehards noticed the sudden absence of terrain and logistics, some inconsistent family loyalties, neglect of the magic and mystery of the show. And, Samwell's actor making the most LCD joke on late-night interview about him not losing weight North of the wall because dragons exist ROFL ecks dee! Normies accepting consequence free magic deserve a deportation to Haiti (resort enclave doesn't count).
