People completely forgot what love truly means. It's not about accepting whatever the other person says, it's about correcting them when they are wrong, even if it means being in conflict.

They also have no idea what hatred is, anyway. They think being in disagreement over one thing is "hate speech".

Yes there is. I've tried 3 times before finally sticking with it. For instance, I remember trying out ZorinOS a long time ago, and it simply refused to install because I was using latest AMD Zen CPU.

As a general advice, I'd recommend avoiding nVidia GPU as much as possible and sticking with AMD, and avoid wireless hardware.

You move at ~50% of the speed most of the time while ADS-ing, and the movement is already much slower (since ADS generally means some form of realism, with realistic movement speed).

Aiming and shooting in a game with ADS is, as such, much easier than in an AFPS, for instance, where you have to handle both at full speed continuously. Being a long time FPS gamer, ADS-based game is basically just like standing straight up at this point, that's also why there's such a strong emphasis on recoil / spread, otherwise it would be extremely easy (something old-school FPS don't have to rely on).

realism and skill

Ah yeah, cause shooting OR moving, takes more skill than shooting AND moving at the same time...

Linux Mint is one of the most popular choice for beginners. Otherwise, you could also pick one of the most popular (includes Mint, but also Ubuntu, Fedora, etc.), since they are popular, it's has good support and likely to have fixed many issues already with most systems.

Why not sue anyone pushing for LGBT stuff, especially those targeting kids in school? You'd still lose, but at least it would make some sense, since it was confirmed the shooter was trans.

Using France has an example, when it always had amazing food of all sort done by white people, is about the most idiotic thing I've read all week. in fact, I've never seen a non-white chief in any really good restaurant, ever, all they do is fast-food level stuff.

And yeah, even the building in the top image were made by white French people. The best we got with "multiculturalism" is cars being burned down.

"I personally think", yep this is what's wrong. You're not allowed to "personally think", follow the group and what's socially accepted and never deviate from this.

The left: "Identity politics aren't politics"

They keep talking about "Pride" and everything, but then they become silent or try to stop you from talking about their own work. Weird, huh.

Noctuner -1 points ago +1 / -2

So you don't believe in any form of human rights then? You don't believe rights are God given to any and all humans?

If you don't have true equality, then the government can just choose to remove all form of opportunities they want from you.

What do you want instead then?

Noctuner 4 points ago +8 / -4

Equality is good, it's just equal opportunities for anyone. What you do with said opportunity is 100% up to you and your skills. It's the foundation of meritocracy.

What the woke are claiming as "Equality" is actually called "Equity", and is a very different term. It's about giving some people better resources and advantages to "compensate for inequalities" (also known as "Complete BS").

What will actually happen: "The studio was only 80% diverse, clearly this wasn't enough, we're now aiming for 150% diversity quota".

Kim Belair (CEO of Sweet Baby Inc): "Terrify them with the possibility of what's going to happen if they don't give you what you want."

What a nice consulting firm, you hire them, then they threaten you if you don't do what they want. Basically, it's like hiring the Mafia to help you make a game.

Even thought I was already prepared, it was still much lamer and boring then I thought it would be. She clearly just baited him, claimed to be a victim, pretended to cry and be upset, just to cause some uproar and get some clicks.

A strong person can survive 15 seconds of online talk without rage-quitting and crying. In fact, a strong person makes the other rage-quit.

I would not discourage people from using nvidia, it just isn't as smooth sailing with it sadly.

I'd argue Linux is never a smooth sailing, which is its main problem since forever and what is stopping it from rising. If you have an opportunity to reduce the risk, especially if you're not a tech-nerd and new to Linux, I'd really try to focus on that.

What sold me completely on Nobara was how easy the driver setup process was because that's something that completely drove me mad.

From my experience, I never trust when a distro says it's "focused on easy driver setup". It was already the point of Ubuntu way back in the years, or Pop!, Zorin, etc. Not to say it's a lie, but it's never as straightforward as they claim, because there are just way too many different specs possible.

Install Nvidia drivers

The best thing you can do for Linux, is not use Nvidia. Just don't. The drivers are just bad, and no distro can ever fix that. If someone wants to give Linux a fair chance, I'd say invest in a decent but not expensive AMD GPU first. You'll save yourself headaches, and it will still run about 90% of indie games easily. It is possible to use Nvidia on Linux, but it's very likely it won't give you a good impression on Linux at all.

I've tried a few distro, the only one so far that really worked for me is Mint. Almost everything works, and I haven't done a lot of setup. Even softwares like FL Studio (Audio workstation) with complex audio system works almost perfectly through Wine (which really impressed me). I also use Godot with C# on it and it works just fine as well.

Community manager is a false job anyway. What great game would have been made even better with a CM? Absolutely none of them. It's completely out of place for a game developer.

If the dev team is open and transparent enough with its players, most, if not all of them, will naturally check their community on their own. Having a central point checking the community means this person gets to control what is transmitted to the dev team or not. As such, it's an incredibly attractive jobs for any activists.

Sure I guess, but it's posted from Helldivers 2's account (both Steam and X). Even if they didn't write the message itself, they are perfectly fine with everything said, and didn't bother adding anything to it or clarifying their views.

I wish one dev, one day, would at least be honest rather than print out [GENERIC PR NOTICE #127]. Account linking to protect players? Uphold company values, from a company like Sony? Build a community? That's BS and everyone (with a brain) knows it.

Just be honest for a second and say Sony if your publisher, and they told you to do it because they want full control on the game and its players.

And maybe that one dev can also realize that they can just remove the cross-play feature with PS players if they don't link their account. That way, it's up to the players to decide what they want.

The facts:

  • Orange man bad.
  • Men can be women.
  • But we don't know what a woman is.
  • More people bad because climate change.
  • But more immigration good.
  • White people are all racists.
  • Black people dindu nothing.
  • Racial profiling bad.
  • But hiring people based on race for diversity reason good.
  • Diversity is when no straight white men.
  • Mean tweets bad, but sending death threats to right-wing people good.
  • Vaccine is safe and effective.
  • But doesn't prevent infection, doesn't prevent illness, and doesn't prevent death.
  • Orange man bad.
  • Government is oppressing people with systemic racism and sexism, so we need more government to regulate everything.
  • If you disagree with us, you're a homophobic transphobic racist misogynist bigot that should go straight to concentration camp for "re-education".

Evaluating evidence and claims, as to first start with asking yourself questions. It's the necessary first step. You don't evaluate anything if you never ask questions, you just accept everything.

In my thousands of hours of PvP gaming, I've maybe met like 2 or 3 actual hackers. It was always an overblown issue. I was reported by several players once because I did the impossible thing of doing, not 1, but 2 headshots in a raw. Yes, apparently, for some players, it's impossible to just do 2 good hits in a raw, it has to be hack. Luckily the admin realised it was bullshit and nothing happened. That was like 10 years ago, now it's probably much worse.

Personally, I'm more tired of everyone going "Please add full kernel-level anti-cheat in my games I can't stand cheaters", and they even want this in cooperative games (the reason why I didn't get Helldivers 2, I was waiting for that game for a long time, until they announced they are using a kernel-level anticheat).

With cheats now using AI, and built at hardware level, even kernel-level anti-cheats are completely powerless against that. My personal wish: Bring back community servers, bring back the feeling of actually playing together with online friends and not just random people with a matchmaker that you're never going to play against in your life, and with admins kicking out whoever stirs up drama for no reason (either because he cheated, or because he's complaining everyone is hacking).

No one calls Stellar Blade woke, while it has one of the most badass woman in modern gaming (the game's not even out yet, but the bar is so low it's not hard at all). In fact, the woke-crowd is the one trying to get this game cancelled, while the anti-woke crowd is like "Please port to PC too".

What is woke is not having one random black guy or a woman, it's having the exact same black guy stereotype (with that haircut), or the man-jaw "strong and independent" woman. Or it's having people of a completely difference place in a setting where they don't belong at all, and without any explanation. (like having black European medieval knights or black Japanese samurai)
