I doubt it, they probably just changed how it’s measured. It used to be fashionable to have mixed/non-white kids, so that’s how it was reported. Now they’re probably calling more people white since it’s fashionable, even if they’re really mixed with something else

I haven’t looked at the data though I’m just guessing

How can they remove it? It’s one thing for the mayor to complain, but what authority does he have to remove a mural that’s presumably already been approved?

I mean Jersey city isn’t some dinky farm or tourist town, it’s a proper city that needs to be allowed to grow as the market demands. The issue is when you import people at an unnaturally fast pace that people can’t plan for.

I just don’t understand why anyone would want this, it bewilders me. Like there must be logic I’m just not exposed to or someone

While I’m not thrilled about overseas intervention it seems to work when the people are reasonably smart and we don’t pull out too soon (think South vs North Korea)

Cautiously optimistic about the whole thing

Famously the Bud light boycott really started when a new major investor pushed bud light to move their marketing team to NYC; they then hired a bunch of lefties who decided the news target demographic should be trans beer drinkers.

I think a lot of things go this way; investors want to live in a fun city so they move a nonsense department like social media marketing to NYC or LA, and it corrupts the brand. I wonder if that’s what happened here, and if they’ve lost touch with the average Canadian because of it

Even if this were true they were still socialist; the whole point was socialism would only work if the society had shared blood (ie similar genetics). They lost the war in part because their socialist economy fell apart, and I can’t imagine anything would be better if they had won

Trump could easily change the rules and require you apply for work visas from your home country, even if you’re here on a student visa. Students would have to go back, and it would be much harder to stay. A perfect compromise

Except when I Google it, I can find a Reddit link pointing to it but the site itself doesn’t show up. This could just be SEO that needs to be done, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Google is deranking things linked by X or something nefarious

Honestly though you shouldn’t buy products with the expectation money will get donated. Buy the product you want and then donate money if it’s important to you

I remember when I was a kid I used to assume people running companies had deep insights into the world we didn’t understand. Now I know they’re literally just on twitter aligning themselves with whatever they think is popular. When Biden was in office companies were literally hiring executives based on the fact they weren’t white, it’s crazy how irresponsible that sounds

Yeah I wonder about that. India is also just a huge place with lots of genetic diversity (both regionally and through the caste system). Certainly some portions have legitimately low-IQ either through pollution or genetics, but I would bet others are just as smart as the rest of the developed world.

I’ll agree it’s a pretty worthless graph, it’s just what Apple provides. For what it’s worth though I do think the information is accurate, X jumped to the top of the App Store and Elon was posting about it too

I can’t tell if you’re joking, I also have issues with the US system but that doesn’t mean I’d trust Thailand more

Something similar happened to me; it’s horrible, and what’s funny is everyone arresting you/processing you knows it was just a joke. Everyone I spoke with had sympathy for me, but they had a job to do and had to keep pushing the paper forward. It took 18 months until the charges were dropped. They shouldn’t be allowed to do this to her at all

Whenever I think of unions I think of Erie, PA, which is a city that lost half its population because its local industry tanked. The overall industry is doing better than ever, they just left Erie for Fort Worth and Grove City, PA to get away from the union.

Last I checked, the remaining union shop was protesting for more hybrid engines to fight climate change lol

I think about my dad in this context a lot, who lives in a small white and minority black town.

He’s never sat at a break table where the girls in HR talk about how blonde white guys are psychopaths (they saw breaking bad), or that we’re a result of inbreeding. He’s not witnessing the demographic collapse, crime, or outrageous housing costs. He’s just chilling and listening to NPR talk about how all his problems would be fixed if we strengthened unions (ignoring the fact they destroy industries and entry level jobs last time they were big). A lot of old people are just out of touch

Yeah he was a founder of another AI company, and so presumably this is to compensate for losing his equity. Still though, it’s a wild amount of salary

It’s really symbolic of the fundamental issues in the company when things like this are happening. If she was a Gab user promoting racism they would have fired her; but because she’s on the pedophile site promoting nonbinary ideology she comes “highly recommended”

Which is incredible because France also backs Israel. Which is it? Is Israel the good guys, or are they terrorizing a nation?

To be clear I don’t have a dog in the fight, it’s just the logic being used at each level is incompatible between themselves

Unironically this makes me want to move to Portland. I wouldn’t be surprised if the state starts to flip more purple, their last mayoral election was pretty close with a more conservative Democrat. The politics are trash but it’s one of the nicest, prettiest places I’ve lived because of the mountains and light rain, which helps things grow
