I think the birth rate is down because there's less social pressure and more personal freedom, and in the internet era everyone knows that family life is just responsibility without authority aka slavery. Unless you're the Ned Flanders type, giving up your time, sleep, money, freedom, health, assets, hopes and dreams to turn 8,200,000,000 into 8,200,000,001 is probably not your idea of a good time. The world is retarded and gay now, why bother?
World population will start to decline in the coming decades and there's little anyone can do about it. I for one will enjoy the extra free parking spots.
I've had the same feeling for a while now, I thought I was just getting old. Fantasy worlds and stories are not convincing anymore, there's less suspension of disbelief. I'm glad some recent exceptions like Rogue Trader and Baldur's Gate 3 exist though.
Ultimately it's the responsibility of the armed forces. If a government and country has been infiltrated by enemies foreign and domestic, the military is obligated to step in and end it. We're already seeing it happen in the US with the National Guard being deployed everywhere.

Here is an interesting take on why they went so over the top. Basically, Trey Parker and Matt Stone are pissed at Paramount and are ragebaiting Trump to sue it again or to block its merger with Skydance. Paramount recently paid Trump $16 million in a defamation settlement and this might add some zeros to that number.
And that's why I don't hold emerging markets in my ETF portfolio.
