Another thing that bugs me, IT has seen massive layoffs. How do you justify bringing in more H1Bs like Microsoft is doing, while Americans remain unemployed and struggling.
They get passed over. A while back I was doing the tech part of the interviews on new hires, the Indian manager would actively find any reason to pass over any white guy while promoting jeets.
There was this kid once, he had actual passion - he had his test systems set up at home, self learned and flew over to have a face to face interview and the Indian manager convinced the non-Indian local manager to not hire him and later we got this 0 experience, dumb white chick. I left the company after that, it was hurting my mental state to see what was going on.
My manager is not a jeet but he does love the jeets, is like a parent with kids. They can make the littlest of work and they will get praised to high haven.
But he is fair with me so far, other teams don't have that luxury, the Indians have not been kind once they reached management.
I'm fully aware that if he leaves - or gets fired and gets replaced by an indian then my days are numbered.
I'm IT, devops - where I work It's almost entirely jeets and AI while also preaching that we need more diversity - meaning less white men.
It's insane that companies can get away with departments being 80% Indians and still demanding less white men that translates in to more jeets.
I can guarantee that it can be 100% Indians and they would still claim to many white people.
Want even better? Diversity is part of my annual review. It asks me to rate diversity. Not sure what it means, how diverse am I maybe? but it's important for my over-all metric to qualify for a salary increase.
I don't have numbers to back up my opinion but once H1Bs get in to management and HR the lower pay is short term and after a year they maybe are 10-15% cheaper then an American.
Don't underestimate the sheer tribalism of Indians. They are not individualistic, they want mass Indians to take over.
Large corporations are extremely good at this as they are to big to fail so any downside of mass pajeets is going to be absorbed.
Look at IBM. It's been dying for longer then I've been working.
There is also an actual need of people doing repetitive tasks and Indians are good at that.

Previous employer set up a taskforce, one Indian and one white dude. They had to do this upgrades where they had to go manually and run a set of commands, once done they would mark the system as upgraded.
The Indian broke something like 50 systems because he had a mistake in the commands and rather then check the output and the errors he would just paste command after command and then mark the system green ignoring all the error messages.
Do you know what he got for that? He got a freaking award for his hard work from the Indian manager while the white dude that had to fix everything and spent his weekend working on that got nothing and was told by the Indian manager that they can't give 2 awards. The white guy left the company after that.
H1Bs are fucked because money is less important then tribalism and once they get in power they will flood it with Indians no matter what.
