Storm is a well liked character.

No she isn't, not right now at least after her continuous run as a Mary Sue in the Krakoa era of X-Men comics that saw her take on almost every powerful mutant that exists, and then countless others introduced throughout the run, and beat every single one of them with ease.

Vulcan, who took on every X-Men character that existed when he debuted and beat them all

Tarn, who beat Vulcan and killed him through sheer strength and power before being jobbed and killed moments later by Magneto

The original Horsemen of Apocalypse, who are his actual bloodborne children

Genesis, Apocalypse's wife

Apocalypse himself

The Faceless Queen, the omega mutant version of Mystique who could copy powers and not just looks

Callisto, again

Nimrod

extradimensional supercomputers/entities called Dominion that live in black holes outside of conventional time and space whose only existing threats are Galactus and the Phoenix Force

All of which happens during a run where every mutant who dies can be brought back to life through several mutants working together, as happened with Vulcan, yet Storm didn't die even once in the 2-3 years the Krakoan comics ran for.

By the end of the run Storm was just a boring Saitama like character, without the humour, who showed up, zapped whatever problem was going on, then left, all the while complaining how others kept letting things go wrong despite Storm spending most of her time on Mars and ignoring all the aforementioned problems developing in the first place.

There's also Bumblebee from DC, Teen Lantern from DC who somehow managed to hack a Green Lantern ring, Naomi from DC, and quite a few more. Wait until you find out what the common denominator is for most of them.

Spoiler: it's Brian Michael Bendis who repeatedly inserts his daughters into every comic company he works for.

Moon Girl is only smart because she's an Inhuman and her superpower is literally "be smort". There are still the actually smart characters such as Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, T'Challa, Amadeus Choir Cho, and Hank McCoy. You'll note most of them are similar bar Black Panther who has always felt like a DEI insert with no originality in the making.

King, supersuit, super serum, smort

In other words, Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America combined, but black.

I have a feeling had that happened the argument would instead be that it should have been filed where the company was, as is the actual case. This is desperation tactics and grasping for any straws possibly while simultaneously trying to conjure up said straws in the first place.

One of the biggest problems with 4 is that the game almost literally starts, and does literally end, with a quick time event.

When you're moving around the derelict Forward Unto Dawn and climbing the lift shaft you get to a closed door that opens suddenly something tries to attack you. You resolve this with a QTE that grabs whatever it is and pulls it into the lift shaft, throwing it down the drop below you.

You defeat the big bad who was introduced, built up, and beaten in a single installment in typical shit fashion by slapping a blue plasma grenade onto him in another QTE.

It borders on how boring the end to ME3 was compared to the previous installments.

ME1: showdown with Saren

ME2: proto Reaper fight

ME3: "Marauder Shields" meme then either talking TIM into shooting himself or using a Renegade interrupt/QTE to do it yourself.

Halo managed to put off such a bad move until at least the trilogy and Reach were out.

Halo 1: warthog run.

Halo 2: primate leader with the hammer.

Halo 3: warthog run.

Reach: last stand.

All action packed, even self referential with 3 ending on another warthog run like the first did, but still all involving the player actually doing something other than pressing a single button to get to the next block of text.

I wonder how quickly social media would explode were a female character to suffer brain damage, amnesia, and then be bed by the latest writers "self insert", pun most definitely intended, since that's precisely what happened when KGBeast shot Nightwing in the head leading to the abomination of a story run that was Ric Grayson and his dating the brand new barrista oc that I don't think has been seen ever again since the run ended.

Technically because of the amnesia it means the actual character can't consent and as Wonder Woman 1984 showed when Diana slept with Steve Trevor inhabiting some random guys body this sort of thing does occasionally get picked up on.

I actually preordered X-Com 2, yes I know preordering is bad, but X-Com 2 was beyond worthy of that in the end since with the base game, general mod workshop catalogue, Long War 2 mod, War of the Chosen, and the Tactical Legacy Pack meant you could ended up with several games instead of just one.

Obviously that's a lot of hindsight working in my favour so preordering is still something that shouldn't be advised, as ironically was the case with Julian Gallop of all people siding with Tencent money for Phoenix Point. Sure he offered the existing backers their money back but that really just made it worse because now it didn't need fan support or interest since Epic had dug their claws into the game hence the 1 year exclusivity when it launched. While I love the original X-Com and what Julian meant for the series his decision to sell out like that soured my opinion of him permanently. Even Jake Solomon doesn't seem to care about the series anymore hence "X-Com 3" being nothing like what anyone thought there would be when Chimera Squad came out instead.

At least I can play X-Com 2 with my mod list until the heat death of the universe.

The actor could stop taking roles either historically known for being one way, such as Perry White from Superman, or modern live action adaptations which have a source material that includes visual media, like with Regis from the Witcher series.

Someone made a thread about the Witcher casting when it was announced earlier this year with visual comparisons from the game.

I actually had that one. It may have been the first EU novel I read which isn't great since it was set 8 years after ANH while Heir to the Empire happens almost right after RotJ, but it was still quite good from what I remember.

18/19, more or less the same age the twins were in ANH.

The prequels take place just under 2 decades before ANH. Anakin was 10 in TPM. AotC was about 6 years after that, RitS 2 years after that.

Ah, it was #4 I was thinking of when writing that. It's the costume he uses when teaching at the school the first time in the 1980s run of the original New Mutants series. Before he was made evil yet again and destroyed the mansion. Again. 🙄

And tbf, #6 is Erik the Red who despite the name is a completely separate character first seen when Cyclops pretended to be the character only for it to somehow be an existing person from the Shi'ar that later turned out to be part of a super secret order 'of the Red'.

I was more meaning from a global NGO PoV. Specific countries are going to be different brands of incompetent for other reasons but still have the natural resource on their side to offset things. Mostly.
