Napa/Sonoma is pretty chill, though. Gets a (somewhat deservedly) bad rep but, based on my few times there, it's pretty dang gorgeous. Politics are shit, as one would expect, but other than that...damn.

Another few observations
in true Lotus Eaters style, they rotated panelists every hour but didn't introduce anyone or have name graphics. Same issue I have with their YT clips - I barely ever know who their guests are and they don't even add their bios to the YT Descriptions.
it's odd how late it was until any substantial returns came in. They didn't have much to report on for individual ridings until 4-5 am local time. Federal results are historically available much faster in Canada, even back when votes were counted manually, even with polls closing at different times across 6 time zones. Votes used to be tabulated so quickly that the feds passed laws banning TV networks from posting wins from closed Eastern jurisdictions while Western polls were still open.

I had the fun of working down in Portland for about a year maybe 15 years ago, thankfully graveyard shift so both going to/from were when traffic was almost non-existent and could go 120 down the highway so could get home faster to get some sleep between 12hr shifts.
Place was a shithole then for sure but it wasn't nearly as blatantly obvious as it is now.

When the Californians begin to move to a place en masse, there is little hope of things not going to shit. Idaho, New Mexico, Texas... there are probably more, but those are the ones I have heard stories about the "Calinvaders" screwing things up first hand.
Less expensive property coupled with lower crime rates would be alluring to anyone.
If they came in small numbers and quietly integrated while adopting the values of their new communities, no one would care. Generally speaking, they do the opposite, hence "Calinvaders".
