I'd suggest that a group of people involved in the process have a financial incentive to advise defendants to waive their right.

Beyond that, the system endears so much legalese and judicial "red tape" that preparing a defense might not be realistic in only 30 or 45 days. Since this effectively destroys that right, it could be argued that this outcome is intentional. Alternatively, a bloated bureaucratic judicial system rides atop the mountain of regulation and law created by legislators, and has made a fast defense impractical.

Demon-Haunted World by Sagan. Teach students proper skepticism and how to think for themselves in a world that constantly seeks to deceive them.

It's propaganda, plain and simple. Defeating it requires truthful counter-narratives that competes with it. Fatherly.com gets around 3 million viewers a month and is ranked 14th (for "Dad blogs") by Feedspot. It's considered a "moderate conservative" site, if you can believe it.

Imagine if someone built a successful alternative with the more valuable insights. The Left would lose its mind, of course, but the narratives they have would be dented.

Some corrections:

  • Woke Americans move to foreign country to spread their Wokeness. Ends in Pikachu face.
  • There is no mystery why the hotel was burned down.
  • The family are not victims, they are aggressors. The UK natives are the victims of ignorance and racism.
  • The media sucks as always.
  • OP is a chad for archiving.

FTA:

Young people are viewing “dehumanising content”, including extreme pornography - says Mr Jukes - and being asked in online groups “to prove themselves by producing more and more extreme content”.

This includes terrorist material created using artificial intelligence, he says, with gaming being one of the “gateways” into extremism online.

The age profile of those drawn into this extreme environment is coming down - and he worries about “very young people who only need to take up a knife or use a vehicle as a weapon to carry out a deadly attack”.

Nearly one in five of those arrested as terror suspects in the UK in the past year were under 18.

The cat lady trope stretches back literal centuries. This is why it wounds them so deeply still, and why "basement dweller" is more amusing than insult to most people.

The argument against capital punishment is because you can never trust the government to do the right thing.

This is a compelling argument. We all know it's true and can't ignore it, despite how much we also know that capital punishment is a valid outcome for murderers.

It is by an order of 10x. Around $30,000 would be the high end, with $20,000 be a more probable average.

Undoubtedly they got bags and bags of money, so stupid if they actually liked their product and wanted a future for it. Maybe not as much otherwise.
