You do realize that you are arguing for eugenics right? Or at the very least Social Darwinism.

Even Buddhists Monks, who spend their whole lives training with a focus on self awareness and self improvement, realize that not all people are capable of understanding themselves. Some people are just not capable; either by genetics (they are just too stupid) or by circumstance which is mostly lack of motivation. These people are shackled to the animal-self and react only to external stimulus. I'd argue that they are not even really sentient.

What should happen to these people? Just ... put them on boats like the Golgafrinchan Ark Fleet Ship B? That would be kind of hard on them, right?

A just society should have a way for them to contribute and to find the happiness they can. Most of them can hold down a job and pay bills and taxes. They just ... live day to day, paycheck to paycheck. They cheer for the Raiders like their dad did and vote Democrat because they live in California, and that is what everyone does.

No society in the history of the world has figured out how to force them into self-actualization. The closest we have come is post industrial WASP culture; which made them useful and productive rather than dissatisfied and rebellious.

Think about how many people you know who are incapable of self-analysis.

They literally can't do what you are suggesting. They require social pressure and simple, easy lessons to keep them from turning into the socialist rank and file or whatever the degenerate trend of the day.

Impulsive genes can also be hyper-competitive genes. They just require more social training to learn how to harness these impulses in a productive way.

Impulsive, violent males tend towards high-risk behavior, which lowers their average life-span, but can have high rewards, both genetically and socially.

For example Rock Stars are highly competitive, highly motivated and have a bonkers high risk lifestyle. Successful rock stars are also drowning in reproduction opportunities.

OP should dump her goldbricking ass and keep his extra take home pay. In his scenario his wife doesn't earn a comparative wage, nor does he get any benefits from her partnership. She doesn't cook or clean. I bet a shiny dollar the kids would be in full time care.

Why on earth would he subsidize her feel-good feelings and need for social status? WTF is she bringing to the relationship?

If all she can offer is her pussy ... well, what does that say about her? Get a rental and stop over-paying.

The Christmas tree isn't even originally Christian. It is a Druidic tradition that predates Rome or Greece. Christ wasn't even born in the winter! King Herod was holding a Census, and demanded that people return to their city of birth to be counted. He would not order that while there was snow in drifts!

The Sacred Tree, green in the dead of winter, was holy to the druids who revered the cycle of death and birth, and saw the year as that cycle in miniture. The Evergreen (and more specific sacred trees) were a symbol of enduring life and the promise of rebirth in spring.

Druids put up Stone Henge and the other stone circles to calculate the cycles of the year. Druids used to decorate the sacred tree in guts (aka 'lights' as in "lights and humbles") of their sacrifices to ensure that the winter would end and spring would come again.

Christmas is actually the Winter Solstice festival, as coopted by the Church. The candles (now electric) to decorate the tree were introduced by the Romans, who took the tradition all over Europe as a sacrament to their fertility goddess. Only by rebranding the festival could the Church get Christ into the festivities.

Christmas (the Winter Solstice) is the mirror of Easter (the Spring Equinox) named (most recently) after the fertility goddess Ester. Fertility being symbolized by rabbits (famous for being fecund) and eggs for new life.

If these idiots want to hurt Christianity then return the festival to its roots. Invite a druidic circle or a bunch of pagans to do things old school. Like 3000 BC Old School. Guts and all.

The issue is that every woman wants to be a nurse or a teacher, to the point that male teachers are a vanishing minority and male nurses are distinctly rare.

Nursing and teaching have become an overwhelmingly female dominated profession. As a result, the supply of nurses is high, and the market rate for their labor is lower.

Women don't want to do statistics. They hate math. Even women who don't hate math would still much rather follow a career in their interest.

Men are willing to make sacrifices to peruse a career that pays the most money. Women will "follow their heart", even if the pay is total shit.

You can put a value on jobs and roles that are "more worthwhile service to society". It is a dollar value.

But that counts for jack and shit when it comes to brining home the bacon.

Woman: "Oh darling, I want to follow my heart and dreams and care for the sick." Man: "So I am going to have to earn more money while you gain satisfaction from your job? Because the mortgage doesn't fucking are how satisfied I am at work."

Women will not be exploration geologists, pipeline welders, long haul truck drivers, mechanics, armed guards or diesel fitters. It doesn't matter a tiny fuck how beneficial to society each of those roles are. If they are not starving to death, and they have the choice, they will pick a more "feminine" profession.

So here is the question: Are you going to subsidize her doing what she wants while you bust your hump? To follow up, are you going to thank her for her sacrifice, and then do even more chores?

Why?

Moving cities is a huge amount of stress. It is much better if you have a network to soften the landing; but it is stressful either way.

I moved a couple states away to a bigger city. I made friends right away, but my first lasting friendship took nearly a year to make. That was rough. I came back three years later.

In general travel broadens the mind. Living in a dump apartment doing a repetitive job and trying to save money, not so much.

If you don't have a partner, or any major attachments you could go for it. You might as well start looking for moves into other roles or other companies. If you are willing to move, then you might as well cast a broad net.

Just my $0.02.

You guys have highlighted a cultural heritage that is associated with the development of writing, learning etc. The cultural traits of writing (and probably a lot more besides) were inherited by successive cultures.

Once a culture develops writing, the language can expand past the point where it must be held in every speakers mind. Concepts can be developed that are not in every day use. Through writing the greatest thinkers and teachers of the past can instruct us directly, in their own words. Writing becomes a mechanism to store the teachings of the greatest thinkers, and to (in some cases) refine and improve on those lessons.

Both "The Art of War" and The Bible were (probably) written by many authors, and have (probably) gone through many versions before reaching their current forms. Both have had huge cultural impact in their own way.

Conversely I drawn your attention to this video: "African Language and the African Mind"

In it a Professor Eugene Valberg (Teacher, Professor of Philosophy) speaks about his experiences living and teaching in South Africa, and his investigation into the language of Zulu and the minds of the speakers of that language. Feel free to look at the comments.

That said, we've been bullied and pressured all throughout ...

Factcheck: Mostly False!

While greenmfkerfrmtenesee has actually been extensively bullied, they don't actually have any friends. Without friends or a group to belong to, the use of the term "we've" is incorrect.

Australia doesn't make anything. They dig up things and send the dirt overseas in bulk carriers and sell houses to each other.

All of the GDP growth of the past X years is from having the highest (per capita) immigration in the western world; which is driving property prices near Melbourne and Sydney.

At some point it has to stop; it is absolutely unsustainable.

At that point there will be an end to luxuries like giving billions to 5% of the population because of their race. There will probably be an end to things like universal health care and the national disability insurance; as both are basically handouts to tiny minorities.

The day people can't afford to put fuel in their car and bread on the table is the day the Sit Down Money ends.

On Monday, Iger pointed to films like “Black Panther” ...

Wakanda is an isolationist ethnostate ruled by an absolute monarch. Who then built a wall.

Lets not forget that Black Panther ended with the ethnostate giving outreach aid by skin color; starting with setting up an embassy in Oakland.

Just reminding you to fill up the tank on the Time Machine and put the key back on the hook when you are done.

I am so tired of chasing you down and getting it back every time you want to attend the PB&J Sandwich Buffet for time travelers at the creation of Peanut Butter.

Don't forget the strict documentation of lineages and the super-secret vibranium lip tattoos to show who is a citizen and who isn't.

Killmonger was able to challenge Tchala for absolute monarchy because his dad was Tachaka's brother. They were cousins.

So this utopia is a black, isolationist ethnostate with leadership to the most savage brute with a spear. Then they built a wall.

This has been addressed elsewhere.

When a woman is in a relationship, she prefers a legal and social framework where she can benefit from a strong, empowered man as a provider and protector.

When a woman is not in a relationship she wants to replace her male partner with a strong, authoritarian state that will tax men and provide gibs.

This is supported by the dramatic change in voting patterns after women get divorced, and then switch back to more (generally) conservatives if she gets married again.

Ralt, perhaps you just don't want to understand the Imp's main point.

I don't ... strictly agree with him, but I absolutely see where he is coming from.

[Redacted]

The Imp believes that the western world is so gynocentric that return to more "traditional values" is impossible without catastrophic hardship.

He goes on to point out that men, especially young, low status men are absolutely disposable even such a "traditional society" where women's base, social climbing, self-centered, emotional drives are tempered by social pressure and the use of law.

Do I have that about right @TheImpossible1 ?

Imp's presentation of these points is somewhat bombastic, but they seem to be well supported by observations.

Which of his points do you disagree with? I'll give you a hint. Calling him a Nazi or saying that he is insane won't cut it.
