I used to watch a lot of Let's Plays. Nowadays, they're a dying breed. I'd be hard pressed to name a channel I watch regularly that does that kind of gameplay. Kind of a shame....

It's not the shooter, it's the gun! It's not the driver, it's the van of peace!

The sad thing is that people must fall for this, because they keep doing it.

Odds are they actually know the truth and they're just being disingenuous. They're hoping to ensnare people who don't actually know any better. Related scenario.

The unabashed scandal! What next? Uncensored hand-holding out of wedlock!?

As much as my heart yearns for their redemption, I know that the vast majority of these people are beyond saving. You cannot convince them that they're doing the wrong thing, because that would mean that they were wrong, and that's simply unacceptable. It would mean that they aren't paragons of virtue and moral fortitude. It would mean that they don't have a rightful, ordained place above all the lesser plebians.

The sheer narcissism that infests our "betters" would have to be cleansed before there could be any hope for repentance.

Disney has killed off or otherwise burned out the Marvel universe at this point. Everyone anyone cares about is either dead, or a narrative dead-end. There's nothing left to keep the MCU going, and yet, the shambling revenant continues it's endless march....

So, how many more films of this dead timeline do you think we're gonna get before Disney tries their hand at a full reboot of the MCU?

“Now don’t you start arguing,” said the Ape, “for it’s a thing I won’t stand. I’m a Man: you’re only a fat, stupid old Bear. What do you know about freedom? You think freedom means doing what you like. Well, you’re wrong. That isn’t true freedom. True freedom means doing what I tell you.”

Christian here. Raised Methodist, but not sure what I technically am now in this modern era of eroding values and subverted churches. I just know that Jesus is Lord, and following Him is the best way to take care of yourself and your neighbors.

It's interesting how it's always the girl. They'd have never dreamed of casting Snotlout or Tuffnutt as the black guy.

You only GET the one, too. There's no way the doctors don't realize that it's not something that you can turn on and off like a switch.

There's no world in which China just "fucking dies" unless they kill themselves

Considering that culturally, they seem to have your average corporate mindset, that being; Short-term profit at all costs, cut corners whenever possible, and always have a public image of being completely together no matter how low the "days since last accident" number is....

Rather significant difference, this.

...Which is really kind of sad, honestly.

Geeze, they really don't have any problem painting Christians with the wide brush here, do they? Seems rather Christophobic to me.

Also, the "how ridiculous to lie that we eat Christian babies and poison wells!" is such a blatant example of downplaying via proximity. It almost makes me wonder if some of them DID eat Christian babies....

If she's just talking about women's rights to have their own restrooms and locker rooms, I'm all on board with that. Seriously. I did some time as a janitor, and the women's rooms were always ten times nastier than the men's rooms. They're welcome to them.

Same reason why Abortion is pushed so hard as a social good. Coming to terms with the fact that it's murder means coming to terms with the fact that you've murdered your own children. Often repeatedly.

I've realized I just monkey's paw'd myself into getting a Mega Man Fully Charged movie. So just to be abundantly clear, any Mega Man GAME franchise incarnation. No Fully Charged. No Bad Box Art. Classic, X, .EXE, Zero, ZX Legends.

I'd love to see any incarnation of Mega Man on the big screen, but I just know they'd mess it all up.

My money is on vidya movies, after Mario and Sonic ran away with the box office.

Of course, Borderlands shows that there's still plenty of room for terrible vidya movies.

Punch Out! isn't Rocket Knight Adventures. So... no.

My dad is a retired Methodist pastor. The very last year he went to the annual United Methodist Conference, they were pushing HARD to force the approval of LGBT inclusion in the church. In order to get their way, they fiddled with the schedule to prevent the African delegates from being able to attend, because they've historically voted conservatively. (Thank God for North Katanga....)

It just blows my mind on every level. They're happy to be manipulative racists so long as they get what they want. It flies in the face of everything they claim to support, on either side of the isle. They literally have no morals, yet somehow find themselves qualified to preach to the rest of us how to live.

It's this IDpol on steroids that's made me notice. Nobody ever does anything "for no reason." They might not have a good reason, or a justified reason. But there's always a cause and effect.

If they said "Oh, they were intolerant towards different religions!" or even "Oh, they thought they were inferior!" That might slip under the radar. That's probably why the Nazis make for such perfect villains for normies, since racism was one of their many reasons and all of their legit grievances got lost in the sauce. But pulling out the "Dindu nuffin!" card makes it clear that you're trying to hide something. You're actively trying to invoke the "second foul gets called" principle.
