Sweet Jesus, Kek came through. This is a win on its own but if Trump manages to get a non-compromised judge through before the election the seething from the left will be off the charts.

More twist than Game of Thrones!

26
Cerveza_por_favor 26 points ago +29 / -3

There is no way he will be able to get one through before the election but this is great impetus to vote him in again. A big reason people elected him was because of the justices.

persiaprince 31 points ago +32 / -1

It's not impossible if republicans don't cuck out.

Murkowski has already tweeted she won’t vote for SC justice until after the election.

this is great impetus to vote him in again

Dems will pitch a similar argument.

'You MUST vote Harris blue team so we get to pick Red Blue Green's replacement!'

But likely with far more hysteria, claims a pick by Trump will be steps towards Nazi stuff. The usual bullshit.

19
ajfofjakf 19 points ago +19 / -0

Tin foil time: RGB has been dead for a while and after crunching the numbers Dems figured it would be better to announce her death now, to attract more voters for the reason you stated, than to try and hold out and for a Harris victory.

I think they know they are on the ropes and are revising what ever sort of plan they had every minute. Right now they are running on a campaign of fear. Vote Harris/Biden or the riots will continue. Vote Harris/Biden or Trump will appoint a fascist justice.

October is going to be one wild ride.

10
TentElephant 10 points ago +10 / -0

You're tinfoil is appealing. As for the wild ride, October is the best time of year to cross the Taiwan strait.

Theyre already screaming that democracy is dead, its great

6
EntilZha 6 points ago +7 / -1

Roe v. Wade.

This is pretty bad, it WILL stir women up to vote in mass.

11
almond_activator 11 points ago +11 / -0

Women aren't quite the rabid advocates for abortion 'rights' they once were. The public is slowly but surely realizing exactly what it entails and why we shouldn't be engaging in the practice. We're on the far side of peak hysteria, I think.

1
Chairman_Pooh 1 point ago +1 / -0

There is very little difference between the views of men and women on abortion, and there hasn't been since at least the 70s. Women are slightly more likely to take an extreme stance (it should either be always legal or always illegal), and men are slightly more likely to say that it should be legal but restricted. But even that difference is small.

Moreover, overall support for abortion has changed little since the 70s.

7
TheImpossible1 7 points ago +9 / -2

Implying the open support of murdering men hasn't already.

OK I'm out of the loop. Is Cocaine used to prop up or diss Mitch?

15
TentElephant 15 points ago +15 / -0

Someone tried to primary Mitch and the hilarious name stuck. Supposedly, it has to do with Mitch being invested in a shipping company that had a boat pulled over on its way to Europe carrying blow.

Democrat demoralization of epic proportions going into the election? The winning, Mr. President, it's too much!

6

I think it's a loss.

The new pick from Biden Harris after they cheat their way into the WH will be worse.

You are black pilled to shit

18
TheImpossible1 18 points ago +25 / -7

As long as the female supremacy cult continues putting their vote acceptance extensions in front of female judges, there's no way to win.

Look at MI.

How do you beat an enemy that is legally allowed to cheat because the judges want them to win?

21
CatoTheElder 21 points ago +22 / -1

Easy, by going to the local national guard armory. See the Battle of Athens, Tennessee. It is not a story a democrat would tell you.

You coordinate with millions of your frens and mail five letters a day in Michigan. It doesn't even matter who to. You mail 5 letters a day, every day, and absolutely grind the post office to a halt.

They can't count mail in ballots they don't fucking get.

4
TheImpossible1 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't know anyone in Michigan.

I'd also guess ballots will be marked somehow as priority mail.

5
persiaprince 5 points ago +6 / -1

If the case goes to the supreme court there is a much higher chance of it being shut down now than before.

9
stanzololthrowaway 9 points ago +9 / -0

You realize the chances of a case being granted cert in the absence of a judge is basically nil, right?

3
TheImpossible1 3 points ago +4 / -1

What happens if a case goes up there and there's only 8?

Roberts is the decider, right? I don't think this changes anything, he's hopeless.

11
persiaprince 11 points ago +12 / -1

When there is a tie vote, the decision of the lower Court stands. This can happen if, for some reason, any of the nine Justices is not participating in a case (e.g., a seat is vacant or a Justice has had to recuse

Mail in and mass ballot harvesting begs that the black pill is right

12
ernsithe 12 points ago +13 / -1

Yes and no. RBG was not going to make it through another administration. If she dies after the election and Biden/Harris have won - they get an appointee. If she dies before the election, it's more up in the air.

Of course the nightmare fuel scenario is that Trump and McConnell manage to get a justice confirmed before the results and THEN Trump loses, which is then used as a pretext by Biden/Harris to pack the court.

But yes. I'd absolutely take RBG over a Biden/Harris pick any day of the week.

8
TheImpossible1 8 points ago +8 / -0

I half expect Biden/Harris to find a way to pick Saint Donna Hylton.

They'll pack the court anyway, saying something like we have to honor RBG by creating SCOTUS seats that can only be held by women.

31
Happily_Grim 31 points ago +31 / -0

This is going to turn into one hell of a political firestorm.
The democrats on social media are genuinely losing their shit right now. Not even taking the time to offer their condolences to her family and those close to her.
They immediately politicized it and started making insane conspiracy theories and statements.

13
ajfofjakf 13 points ago +13 / -0

Did you expect anything else?

6
Happily_Grim 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeah right, I had popcorn ready the moment I heard the news. Just wait a few I'll give a decent post.

5
Alzeron 5 points ago +5 / -0

It was kinda surprising honestly. I saw a lot more class from the right, a lot of "politics later, condolences now." until I started seeing the left lose their shit. Then it turned into, "politics now I guess".

It's a hilarious shit show either way right now. Waiting to see what other twists are yet to come in 2020.

3
Happily_Grim 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's pretty much how it went, too.
It was nice – for a minute.
But it didn't long at all for them to lose their shit and start going full political.

3
Alzeron 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, it's kinda sad. Was kinda hoping that we could go at least the night without the politics. But it went south so fast.

3
Happily_Grim 3 points ago +3 / -0

The riots in Portland started up with aggression again as well.
It only hurts their cause more. They're just not bright enough to realize that social media makes up very little of the overall picture.

21
spezpedobestfriend 21 points ago +21 / -0

Ladies and Gentlement, we now have an opening in the Supreme Court right before the election. Fuck the Democrats and their attempts at stealing the election. When those cockolds try to go to the court, they'll have to deal with a decided CONSERVATIVE SCOTUS. Fuck them, fuck their cheating and let the people chose who leads them not fucking god damn plutocratic Democrats.

23
TentElephant 23 points ago +24 / -1

Fuck Roberts. I'm not sure if Kav and Gorsuch are playing games or legitimately problematic. SCOTUS isn't reliable even with a new pick.

19
Ahaus667 19 points ago +20 / -1

Roberts has proven to be the second worst chief Justice next to warren. Gorsuch said he was a contextualist and has failed on every front.

17
spezpedobestfriend 17 points ago +17 / -0

With the dick stomping they did to Kavanaugh and his family, yeah he's a Democrat hater now. They dragged his name through the mud for a psychopathic bitch who lies with a 3 year old voice. He will pay back the Democrats in spades.

13
TentElephant 13 points ago +13 / -0

Hopefully, he makes Thomas look like RBG once he doesn't have to worry about Roberts.

8

At least General Arnold was at one point a patriot.

Then he got jilted, got shacked up with a regular Delilah, and turned to the side he didn't believe in for a payday.

2
anon12 2 points ago +4 / -2

Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are fucking deep state snakes

its fucking bad, man.

If anything, term limits need to be put on Supreme Court justices, they pretty much have unchecked, near-unlimited bureaucratic power as they are.

19
Steampunk_Moustache 19 points ago +19 / -0

Man, I didn't think a first term election could ever be this much of a ride.

14
almond_activator 14 points ago +14 / -0

The entire world is now living on Internet Time.

It is the first shift away from a standard, 24h day/night cycle and lunar/solar year since the French Revolution attempted to decimalize the day and calendar, and the first new plan that's worked in recorded history.

8
TentElephant 8 points ago +8 / -0

Didn't care for her stances of course, but she was certainly capable and accomplished.

Justice Cruz has a nice ring to it. But then he can't run in 2024 :(

7
TentElephant 7 points ago +7 / -0

I don't see anything in articles II or III that stops a justice from running for president or holding the positions simultaneously. It's preferable to do it this way, instead of nominating himself to SCOTUS as president.

16
ernsithe 16 points ago +17 / -1

instead of nominating himself to SCOTUS as president.

Hahahahah can you fucking imagine. "I've decided that I'm going to nominate the best man for the job. Me. I'm going to do a tremendous job. I may not have been a lawyer, but I know lots of lawyers and... not that hard."

Judge Amy Barrett coming soon, because Trump will appoint a woman to avoid another MeToo cult war.

12
persiaprince 12 points ago +14 / -2

Do you have any criticism besides her being a woman? (not saying that's an invalid criticism)

16
stanzololthrowaway 16 points ago +17 / -1

She is a rabid pro-lifer who has made perfectly clear her stance on Roe v. Wade, but has made her presence mostly known by ceaselessly trying to gut Obamacare at every opportunity. As far as I know, she's only wrote one opinion (dissenting) on a 2nd Amendment case, and she was very clearly pro-2nd.

13
anon12 13 points ago +13 / -0

None of this sounds like a criticism of her to me lmao, she sounds great

7
stanzololthrowaway 7 points ago +7 / -0

Sorry, I misread what the dude above me said.

I didn't intend it as a criticism. It was just intended as a summary of her positions.

5
TheImpossible1 5 points ago +6 / -1

I honestly know very little about her, it was just a comment of what will happen if Trump does manage to get the pick.

I doubt she'll be worse than Roberts, but that's a low bar.

15

Considering the same was done to Obama, people don't even have a right to be that mad.

It sucks, but there it is.
