As a Tifoso, this is the Ferrari equivalent of the Jaguar disaster.
Literally nobody who loves Ferrari wanted them to make an SUV, much less an EV.
If we could harness the energy from Enzo Ferrari's spinning corpse, we could power the world for decades. That man is screaming from the afterlife so loud I can't drown it out.
It's like everything at Ferrari is opposite day. A black man is driving for their team, they split from Pininfarina, they made an SUV, and now they made an EV.
The worst part is that this isn't even some woke ESG bullshit, this is just them being retarded.

A certain tractor salesman is laughing his ass off.
Ferrari is notorious for forcing customers to buy their less popular models in order to qualify to purchase their hypercars. I can't wait to see the bitching from people forced to buy these pieces of shit just so they can get their F80 successor.
I hope it gives them such a black eye that they have to finally start acting like a car company instead of a cult.
Old money won't be affected, but new-money techbros have been dying off since the peak of the stimmie era and the surge in inflation. The latter is who actually keep the lights on at these luxury dealerships.
What the hell? All the powertrain disasters aside, that looks like every other Roblox EV piece of crap that's come out since 2018. That's what Jony Ive came up with?
Why would anyone who wants a ferrari want an EV? The sound is a big appeal, at least to me, when thinking about those types of cars.

It might be kind of like a pokemon HM slave or the token black kid who is a foreigner in a wheelchair with a hook for a hand in 90s advertisements.
I other words, they need to check boxes. Electric car, SUV, designed by a designer who was not hired for being competent. And they say, why not check all the boxes with one thing.
I'm starting to lean towards some sort of humiliation ritual. I mean all they had to do at Ferrari was make a decent looking actually working electric sports car, make it red, put a Ferrari badge on it and charge $200k or whatever the going rate for a budget Ferrari is anymore, and it would probably have been well received. Instead they shit out this turd.
That vehicle is 100% a regulatory compliance car. To satisfy EU regulations (and not pay huge fines), Ferrari basically has to make that car to avoid paying through the nose for the rest of their line up.
It's been hilarious seeing companies like Stellantis moving in the complete opposite direction after disasters like the Dodge Daytona, scaling back their EV-only vehicles, axing their 4xe line, and even bringing back the Hemi after consumers demanded it (though they continue to placate regulators with the MEV "eTorque").
Toyota has also been bearish on the EV market precisely because of reactions like the one in that thread. They still have some options but mostly focus on hybrids.
There is a reality about infrastructure, demand, aesthetics, and expectations that EVs fail to meet in a broader, general sense; so the only people who really seem to want these are brainwashed "true believers".
It's also always disappointing seeing FIA try to force these into the seasonal divisions while audiences "nope" out. I still contend that the late 70s up to the late 80s was the best era of motorsports.
The toyota engine is a positive, I don't see why that would make it a meme. I'm also not sure why you're choosing the Miata comparison when the Elise is much closer to an MR2.
Someone suggested they did this on purpose to shut up the “make an EV” crowd by speedrunning a Jaguar fiasco. However, they spent so much time doing it that I doubt it very much
Looks like some generic car in a 10-20 year old video game that couldn't afford licenses for real cars.
...basically any sedan from the game Mindseye.
In other words - chinesium.

The new Ferrari can be seen in how many vehicles they make. I believe it has exploded.
Fuck that’s ugly.
Ugly car too. Doesn’t resemble a Ferrari other than the rear lights.
I bet it's what the Apple Car was supposed to look like. Maybe Tim Cook finally axed it for good and that's why Ive left.

It probably has translucent touchscreen buttons. Swipe down from the top-left to start.
edit: wikipedia says both interior and exterior were designed by Ive and co.
So he’s just extremely overrated. Got it.
Well at the very least he clearly has no idea what he's doing with cars

Sorry, we were all away over Memorial Day apparently
Completely forgot about that, thanks for letting me know.
I'd pay $40k for it.
And it would still depreciate by 50% as soon as you drove it off the lot.
I wouldn't buy it at that price either.
It didn't fall because it's electric either, it fell because what the fuck is that!
Why do almost all electric vehicles look so ugly now that I think about it?

Enshittification claims another.

Heresy.
I expected alot worse. It just looks like a very bland ''futurist car'' from a 2005 movie.
It's priced 1000% its actual value and dosen't look like a Ferrari.
Well done woke retards, another piece of Western excellence vandalized.
So it looks like shit, doesn't sound like anything, has crap range, and aren't Ferraris meant to be red?
The only supercar that LOOKS like a supercar is Lamborghini.
And I doubt they're much better lately.
What's wrong with the Elise? Does it have some kind of meme status?
The Elise is a meme because it uses a Toyota engine, but in terms of its purpose, it's a more powerful, British version of a Miata
Calling this a lotus elise would actually make it cooler than it is.
Yeah, not sure it belongs in the same sentence as this trainwreck from Ferrari

I heard how ugly it was but I was still shocked when I saw it
It doesn't even look cool.
Even if I won half a billion in the lotto I wouldn't waste over 600K on this nonsense. It looks like a bog standard Honda shiite box.
I guess it was a good call that Apple abandoned their plans to make an EV of that's what he was "designing".
