Reports claim that Trump was informed that he was in the Epstein Files in May. Make what you may of his behavior since. He's bombed Iran, blocked the release of the files and committed to sending weapons to fake Ukraine.
During his first term his shenanigans at least seemed like he was trying to keep people on their toes. Now he gives of the impression he's stuck in a psychosis.
I'm with Antonio on this one. His actions lately all coincidentally have a single benefactor, which is too consistent to attribute to psychosis. He gives me the impression that he has the sword of Damocles hanging over his head in the form of Israeli controlled kompromat.

2nd term presidents don't have to appeal to their voters any more, so they act more closely to who they truly are. I wouldn't say this version of Trump is "insane". This is more of who he truly is. He is acting in accordance with his beliefs and in advantage for his allies and funders.

Trump was completely transparent with one of the earliest investigations of Epstein and his bullshit.
His accounts were verified by testimony of Epstein 'models' at the time.
He visited Epstein's NY property. He enjoyed the conversation of the other celebrities there. He refused all offers of food or massages (or "massages') from the ladies.
Later Trump got into a beef with Epstein about some real estate thing, and hated his guts.
If Trump is going soft on this matter, it is to protect the Israeli interests, rather than to protect himself.

Rushing to such a laughable conclusion as “Trump is in the files”… that’s the kind of thing you have to make a note of who you see saying it, because it’s so incredible that the speaker must be either a moron or someone with an agenda.

Considering his tune changed afterwards to some variation of "there are no files" and "Obama/Biden tampered with them so you can't trust anything in them anyway" he almost certainly was told something along the lines of them planting his name and involvement to levels he knows isn't true.

I doubt it, probably more along the lines of during his first term when North Korea was posturing over nukes, he said "my button is bigger and WORKS".
I want those files released and people in prison as much as the next guy but not every action he does is related to those files, both fortunately and unfortunately.
