Capt. Rebecca M. Lobach, the pilot, constantly dismissed warnings from Warrant Officer about flying above the safe altitude limit in the area.
This caused the Black Hawk helicopter to collide with a commercial airplane and killing 67 people.
Jagoff comedian Jimmy Dore comments:
It's probably even worse than they're saying. Has the full voice recording been released yet? Last I saw, they had direct quotes of the exchange between the instructor and ATC, but when it gets to the exchange between the instructor and Lobach, suddenly it all just changes to a vague summary: 'he told her he believed that...' and 'she ignored'. Why no direct quotes any more? She probably argued or acted like a bitch and they don't want to include those details. If she stayed silent, well, for one that's weird, but that's also an opportunity for the press to spin it as 'may have ignored' or 'may not have heard the instruction', which they would certainly take if they could.
then it would be the first time in history a woman didn’t talk.
CVR recordings haven’t been released by the NTSB since Delta Flight 1141 in 1988 due to lobbying after the pilots were joking about crashing.
Since this is military the regressives will probably try to hide it. Hopefully Trump steps in and they at least have to release the transcript.
If they have been forced to admit she didn't listen, then you know the truth is way worse.
Can I ask a dumb question- why is everyone criticizing DEI these days - but affirmative action is still rampant in government and contracting.
They are both systemic anti-white racism
Aren't they both the same thing? Whether it's quotas or preferential hiring practices, removing DEI removes "affirmative action". It's just the newfangled way to call it.
Basically they are. DEI is a specific named movement for the current iteration, while affirmative action has become more of a conceptual name for the practice.
In theory yes, in practice they rebrand DEI while keeping affirmative action. What people don't understand is that affirmative action is much older. It was part of corporate culture for as long as I've been working.
Yeah it's disappointing to hear Trump claim the government is based entirely on merit, and yet every government RFP still gives extra points to minority or women owned businesses.
Or even just businesses that have a whole bunch of employees who live in primarily non-White shithole zip codes. A contracting company I used to work for made extensive use of that program to get their hands on government contracts. Hire a whole bunch of people who live in shitty black neighborhoods and you get bonus points when being considered during the contract bidding process. I think they called it the Hub Zone program.

One thing at a time.
That has to be a Londo quote, probably regarding Cartagia.
Trump has targeted affirmative action too. They've become synonymous to most people although you are right that they're different things
Meh, what it turned into was certainly racist and anti white, but it seems like there was some effort to brand most social programs as dei.

I have no problem with something like this, my issue is when its used to discriminate against people for things like jobs, loans, and education.
Minoritys have been brainwashed into thinking that because its against white people, that its somehow not racist. Dumb shit.
her last words were “I don’t need you to mansplain to me”
She needs to be nominated for feminist of the year
She already won the Darwin Award.
Unfortunately she killed almost 70 people beyond just herself.
so what are you going to do to prevent future incidents? how about we start with declaring runways no-fly zones to anything other than aircraft actively using them?
The aircraft was equipped with four altimeters, one radar and one barometric altimeter for each pilot station. One of them malfunctioned and was giving a lower reading that in reality, meaning that he helo was actually far higher than what it was indicting. Guess which of the four altimeters Lobach decided to use?
