Every time you see the gulf of America, thank a liberal, without their constant anti American rhetoric this resurgence of American nationalism and pride would never have been possible

Wait for him to try to attack you first, then you can claim self defense and thank him for the exercise.

Honestly, it's a more reasonable name given that it's a massive gulf in the Continent of North America.

Mexico is a specific political state.

It was very odd as a small child living on the Gulf coast that despite having a near 0 Mexican population for hundreds of miles in any direction, the water was named after them.

Nothing I'd go crazy about, but it does make it more in line with most waterways with specific names like that.

Tho iirc the name dates back to colonial times. Mexico wasn't really a independent entity yet.

It's only 11 of February. If Trump maintains momentum for 2 months leftists will either explode or finally grow up.

Or there will be a stochastic terrorism, which looks like what the Democrat politicians are aiming for.

Theyre going to literally start exploding themselves. They're back to openly advocating terrorism already

Trump sending out "mean tweets" and doing the other things is like breaking a horse - keep getting them worked up with minor aggressions they can't escape until they get exhausted, "break", and find out this little piece of string / string of words doesn't hurt.

Today's liberals like a scared horse can't be reasoned with and the only way out for them is to hit their own personal rock bottom of emotional, irrational exhaustion.

Depends on your geographical location, outside of the US it shows as "Gulf of Mexico (Gulf of America)". Similar with contentious borders in China, Google just appeases heads of state and it means very little.

I'm fine with them appeasing Trump. Google knows they hold little power over him now.

Stupid, meaningless BS.

So is unfurling a 30 foot "Black Lives Matter" over American embassy's.

Or at least, only for immediate practical considerations, it is meaningless.

What this symbolism represents is a kind of cultural conquest. These do have value because if you don't beat back Leftist symbolism, it will give them power over culture.

That is an ideological conquest, like renaming Fort Bragg. That is worth doing, and is in fact imperative. This does nothing, and looks quite silly, to be honest.

Your example is a re-conquest. This is not. It's our own conquest. And I believe it's target is to upset the "Bronze" National Socialists who run most of our immigration policies.

Really you don't see any ideological motivations to renaming the Gulf of Mexico? Guess someone was just bored

You're just mad that you can't join in the fun because you're not American.

I wish Trump supporters well all the same, but I don't really see the fun.

It's as if France tried to rename the Channel the Sea of France. It's a bit sad.

The difference is that France lacks the international influence to get everyone else to start calling it that. This is America throwing its weight around.

Probably yes, but even assuming they could get it through, how sad would that look?

It's as if France tried to rename the Channel the Sea of France. It's a bit sad.

The French ALREADY don't called it the "English Channel" or anything with Britain or English in it. They call it La Manche.

I think it signals that corporations are bending the knee. Google was under no legal obligation to change it and they are as far left as they come. It must have been like a vampire drinking holy water for them to give Trump a win.

On iPhone Google Maps, it reads Gulf of America when zoomed out. Slowly zooming reveals Gulf of Mexico, which changes back to GoA as you zoom further in. Perhaps some layers didn’t update.

I suppose this means any "ban" on, say drilling for oil, in "The Gulf of Mexico" is now worthless?

I'm not in the US. On my Google Maps it shows Gulf of Mexico with (Gulf of America) in brackets underneath.
