My first reaction would be to dismiss every claim made here with prejudice, but in the end, I just don't particularly care.
Lincoln was a dictator. The South had a right to peacefully secede, as per the terms of the Union. They were paying the majority of all taxes and felt unrepresented by the federal government, and would have been the world's 3rd greatest economy at the time, had they become independent. Lincoln is the reason that the US is no longer a proper democratic republic, but rather a country with federal rule and diminishing State governance. He is responsible for the current state of inordinate power being granted to Washington to rule over the rest of the country nearly indiscriminately.

No, this is what documentaries always were. They were always designed with a narrative first, and then the details picked and chosen to support that for the entire run time. Sometimes they'll even throw in a counter point to give the appearance of neutrality despite stacking the deck.

By default a documentary has to have a narrative. Why is the author bothering with this person/subject matter? What's the point? That part doesn't bother me and yeah, it's used by the left for the propaganda all the time "Whoee, let's look into the life of super-hero woman Ruth Bader Ginsberg!"
