Theres a huge push here to "improve Japan" by westerners.
They come to Japan and say "oh wow this is so good, this is much better than where I came from...but its a bit conservative, they're going to need to make some changes for me" and they start agitating to make it into Asian california.
Meanwhile Muslims who come here are starting to setup enclaves and even organize little riots and knife adventures. I expect shrines in the new Muslim zones will mysteriously start to go up in flames in the coming years.

Dealing with him properly would entail throwing him in a cell for 10 years. This is the cowards way out. They're just shipping the problem back here where we're equally squishy on crime.
Why would they PAY to house a foreign criminal? Shipping him back is the smartest thing to do. not only can he not get back in due to having a record, but taxpayers dont pay to feed and house him.
Frankly, the only choices for foreign criminals should be deport/ban and death sentence for the more severe crimes like murder/rape

There's a good idea. No taxpayer money for food and drink; have his fans send in money to a prison-controlled account, advising that if the donations stop, he will not survive. Easy foreign income, easy on the taxpayers and the criminal gets to eat. Win-win-win scenario.

I disagree. if a person is a guest in your country in that guest abuses your country's hospitality, the right thing to do is to deport their ass. especially when you have secure borders like Japan does, being an island and all.
