The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system, or the validity of the jury’s ruling.
And so what if they were? We have a case here where someone publicly stated that they weren't raped, accepted a cash settlement and then came back years later and said "I was raped". There was absolutely no evidence to corroborate this accusation and the defendant denied it. That alone meets the standard of reasonable doubt in the US legal system.
Then, the judge allowed the prosecution to tell the jury that he drugged women without presenting any evidence in support of it. Everything about this trial undermines the legitimacy of the United States legal system and the validity of the jury's ruling.
On the off chance anyone here doesn't know about the moral relativism and hypocrisy of Hollyweird, look no further than the old Family Guy DVDs. On one commentary track Mila Kunis happily tells everyone about "dating" a guy in his twenties when she was under eighteen. The others point out that this is illegal, and she giggles and replies, "it wasn't illegal for me." They all start laughing. Danny Masterson is part of the same acting world of "It's okay for me" but he hasn't made lots of money for anyone in twenty years. That's why he's getting railroaded.
EDIT: And no I don't think he raped anyone, but Kunis just needs to shut the fuck up about rape, or for that matter anything.
The retarded notion of "Oh the jury convicted them, therefore it must have actually happened" needs to go. Look over the evidence that was presented and was rejected, then make your own call. Chauvin's case demonstrated that. At this point, the judicial system quite often serves the purpose of witch hunts and "restorative justice".
