Of course they do. Everyone always cucks and apologizes. It's sick.

I don't recall anyone apologizing for supporting Roman Polanski, the pedo and rapist - at least, before he was arrested for doing some raping in France.

I don’t recall them apologizing AFTER that.

Amazing. I was just in a restaurant with a TV on, and it had (I believe) CNN running, and as I walk the ticker said something about "Ashton Kutcher under scrutiny for comments about under-age Hillary Duff, Olsen twins..."

Wow, what a coincidence.

The letters were not written to question the legitimacy of the judicial system, or the validity of the jury’s ruling.

And so what if they were? We have a case here where someone publicly stated that they weren't raped, accepted a cash settlement and then came back years later and said "I was raped". There was absolutely no evidence to corroborate this accusation and the defendant denied it. That alone meets the standard of reasonable doubt in the US legal system.

Then, the judge allowed the prosecution to tell the jury that he drugged women without presenting any evidence in support of it. Everything about this trial undermines the legitimacy of the United States legal system and the validity of the jury's ruling.

On the off chance anyone here doesn't know about the moral relativism and hypocrisy of Hollyweird, look no further than the old Family Guy DVDs. On one commentary track Mila Kunis happily tells everyone about "dating" a guy in his twenties when she was under eighteen. The others point out that this is illegal, and she giggles and replies, "it wasn't illegal for me." They all start laughing. Danny Masterson is part of the same acting world of "It's okay for me" but he hasn't made lots of money for anyone in twenty years. That's why he's getting railroaded.

EDIT: And no I don't think he raped anyone, but Kunis just needs to shut the fuck up about rape, or for that matter anything.

You'd think Kutcher would know the difference

Kunis, Woman, doesn't surprise me

The retarded notion of "Oh the jury convicted them, therefore it must have actually happened" needs to go. Look over the evidence that was presented and was rejected, then make your own call. Chauvin's case demonstrated that. At this point, the judicial system quite often serves the purpose of witch hunts and "restorative justice".

We see lefties engage in this in the opposite manner, e.g. Rittenhouse being acquitted but believing he's still guilty.

Why do Hollywood celebrities always write letters of support for pedophiles and rapists?

I only started noticing this with Roman Polanski.

That said, their reasoning for retracting the letter is retarded.

They stood by a friend. They shouldn’t apologize for that. Just say “we’re disappointed to learn this is the kind of person he was.” But to apologize for doing that is just disgusting.

They stood by a friend.

They wrote a letter of support for a friend who was charged with rape. Why? Apparently, they think they are So Important that we need to know that they like this fellow.

But to apologize for doing that is just disgusting.

I partially agree. Clearly, they're only apologizing for the wrong reasons, but they should never have done it to begin with.

It was a character witness letter written to sway the judge's decision.

they should never have done it to begin with

Not if they believed he was guilty. On the other hand they personally don't have any way to know what really happened, and may believe that being 20 years later he is a changed man now. And these are probably bleeding heart liberals who want to abolish the prison system. If they were actually being consistent (not that I'd expect it) they would be soft on crime with their own friend too.

They're such hypocrites, because when people wrote a letter like that against the totally unfounded claims against Kavanaugh, they mocked it as "WELL HE NEVER RAPED ME".

They wrote a letter of support for a friend who was charged with rape. Why?

Innocent until proven guilty?

Because they weren't eyewitnesses to any rape and had no reason to believe that the person who they know as a friend would do such a thing?

They're not claiming 'innocent until proven guilty', they're defending their friend. And I assume not everything that Ashton Kutcher does not witness did not happen.

It's something that the people behind this aren't hiding that it's literally an accusation of witchcraft.

Once you're accused your friends are supposed to immediately abandon you.

Banana Republic is an understatement to describe this.

If you only decide you were raped a decade later, it wasn't rape.
