There were plenty of woes back then and I think it goes without saying that a lot of the bullshit we see now AROSE from the people of those times, but they knew how to appreciate simpler things and find happiness beyond themselves.

If people were more happy in the past then they are now after PROGRESS!, then maybe PROGRESS! isn't all good. But PROGRESS! is all good, therefore people in the past can't have been more happy.
I'm not saying everyone was happy back then. But despite all the supposedly amazing developments... it's still not enough. If anything, people just find even more things to be miserable about.
Even with the famed therapy and meds, every single supporter of those things has some horror story about therapy/their therapist failing, their meds being the wrong kind or dose, adverse reactions, "it just didn't work during those times", etc.
She claims to control her own money without a man. Yet she needs to buy into every stupid trend she sees. She screams about her freedom, but will sell her dignity for designer goods and trendy crap because she was spoonfed imaged of other girls doing the same.
I don't think 'I can have unlimited sex without repercussions(like men always have) and use my body to earn money(like men always have)' is as much an advocate for the modern age as she thinks it is.
Men definitely use their bodies to make money: working those invisible jobs that keep the lights on, yet feminists don't care about equal representation in.
You have a job because a man enforcing the government's anti-male laws is pointing a gun at a man who risked it all to start a business, and yes, it would have been a man's job who would have done twice as good a job as you had he been allowed to have it instead.
