Yes, management was woke libtards and actually believed that Frosk insulting and shaming the viewers would be positively received, because it was in the libtard bubbles they live in
Once Frosk caused an enormous backlash because GASP, it turns out the vast majority of viewers don't like being insulted and shamed for liking attractive women over ugly women on their TV shows, the management realized they'd fucked up and backed away from it
Frosk was left out in the cold, all alone, rubber nonbinary dick in hand, abandoned by woke libtard management who didn't want to join her in the firing line. Frosk learned the lesson that her fellow woke libtards are cowards.

They did that super early before the backlash hit them like a tsunami. Then they stfu once the backlash really started to hit them and they got buried.

And because they genuinely thought Frosk meant only other men, while she probably thinks even less of her enablers than of the people she insulted that day.
I was never going to watch any of it even if this had never happen, but it's not even that. If she were a gung-ho video game fan with a wealth of knowledge and had interesting things to say about them, nobody would have cared how she looked. She's not even necessarily ugly (ignoring the ... wardrobe choices and personality). I had female friends that looked like that back in the '90s before looking like that was a clear warning sign of wokeness.
She is the one that cares how she looks. She knows the original G4 hosts were gorgeous. Her entire rant was confession through projection. It was her insecurity that she put on showcase.

I would just watch a YT video about it. Yellowflash is usually good about summarizing the topic for new viewers. But she's some cray cray feminist who G4 hired as a host, and she immediately went on a rant on air about gamers and toxic masculinity and how people thought she wasn't as fuckable as past female hosts and why she doesn't give a shit what gamers think. I don't buy that story by that source. It sounds like a post hoc cop out by those involved to throw blame away from themselves. The speech might have been unplanned, but the support of Frosk by everyone around her felt genuine. Don't forget that these idiots live in a bubble and consume nothing but lies and propaganda. They believe every word of it. Strangely, I'm more likely to believe Frosk in the after effects of the downfall of the company, who said everyone was on board with her speech. The company's, and the personnel, reaction after the speech, in support of Frosk, supports this. The company only began to distance themselves from her after the fan backlash became too big to ignore.
Frosk Scripted it. It was put on her teleprompter by a producer. The director shot it. It was edited and aired.
Nothing, not a single thing about this wasn't planed to the smallest detail. After it was produced, directed and recorded, the producers could have kept it in edit until it reflected exactly the message that they wanted; or just scrapped the scene.
