Went to the movies for the first time in years recently, and was annoyed but not at all surprised about how almost EVERY PREVIEW of upcoming films was about a black woman being scared of or fighting against white men. The exceptions being Black Adam, though they had to throw in a joke about rolling up windows when he shows up, so the implication is clear, and Dungeons and Dragons, where the white man is a useless clown who one of the female characters straight up says doesnt belong in the party. Its madness how blatant it is. If normies dont start waking up to this shit now, they never will.

I mean, a lot of normies subconsciously know its why a lot of these films have MASSIVE drop off after the first week yet TOP GUN Maverick has surpassed Endgame records, without China.
In the more fan side, I also saw it at MCM earlier this year, hardly any Marvel, DC or star wars/trek cosplay or merchandise (apart from a lightsaber battle promo) and TONS of anime and a few more gaming, people have just quietly switched off and moved on.
Coincidentally, the movie I went to see was an anime (DBS Super Hero). The theater was packed too, and people were hooting and hollering and just having a good time. Compared to the trailers where everyone was dead silent, it really said alot.
Its DragonBall. One of the few things that can bring nerdy white boys, hardcore black thugs, and all of South America together. The Mexico City viral video of them cheering and screaming watching an episode was so beloved by the production crew it inspired the entire soundtrack to the Broly movie.
And if we know anything about black people in movie theaters, they ain't quiet. In my experience, latinos ain't much better. Its pretty great for shows like this.
How was DB Super Hero?
I am thinking of seeing it soon.
Mostly fanservice strung together with a pretty haphazard plot. Way too much exposition. The final villain was a lame raid boss and the new transformations were also mostly meh. I dont regret seeing it and had some fun, but overall it was fairly mediocre.
Too much exposition? From the franchise that brought us 22-minute long episodes of powering up for one attack?
Of those 22 minutes, a good chunk is ''in the previous episode'' and ''in the next episode''.
Watching those as a kid was frustrating. Basically nothing happened. The manga was fun.
It's a classic anime problem. They can't advance the plot until the manga does, which means they have to stall for time.
I heard the fight scenes were the best in the franchise.
Thanks!
The trailers for the film make it seem like a Gohan and Piccolo movie so I will probably still check it out.
Gohan has been relegated to being a loser in DBS so it would be nice to see him actually win or get a new form.
I really liked it. Toriyama wrote this one so he strung together a lot of some of the original story along with a new one.
The final villain was a let down, but it was still a lot of fun.
YMMV but it can be simplified down to Cell Games 2.0
Spoilers below.
You're not wrong considering how many parallels there are between the Cell arc and this new movie when considering the two protags.
Piccolo gets a new transformation, like he did when merging with Kami. And it's mostly useless in the end.
The big bad is... Cell. Again.
Gohan beats the big bad because he thinks Cell kills Piccolo, as happened with Android 16 in the original DBZ. He even takes on an appearance of SSJ2 but with Ultra Instinct coloured hair.
The big bad is eventually killed by a [father/on] combination attack from Gohan and Piccolo, who obvs isn't dead, much like how OG Perfect Cell was killed by a father/son combination Kamehamaha.
The movie is pretty much a mash up of the Cell arc [as explained above] with some elements of the DBZ movies that kept bringing Brolly back just to be defeated by Gohan so he still appeared useful.
But as with most anime movies the events in them are rarely ever canon so will probably never be mentioned or seen again. Even with Brolly taking place after the Tournament of Power no references were made to Kale despite the similarities in their power and the actual LSSJ transformation is so brief that doesn't even get commented on in the Brolly movie.
At least now they are set in the anime at times which make sense. Cooler shows in the timeskip while everyone trains to fight the androids and is never mentioned again. Twice. OG Brolly took place sometime after Goku and Gohan emerge from the Hyperbolic Time Chamber since Gohan can turn SSJ1 but it's still before the Cell Games start. Except in the anime there wasn't any time for that to happen as Vegeta was busy training a second time in the HTC.
And more than anything the power creep as of the Tournament of Power is both absurd at this point and often flat out ignored. Krillen beats Gohan in a sparring match because "Gohan is rusty". SSJ1, 2, 3, God, Blue, and even Vegeta's new Royal Blue mean almost nothing when someone just needs to "train a little" as was the case when Android 17 was able to keep up with Goku in SSJBlue prior to the Tournament.
That's me. I just don't bother with modern Hollyweird products and instead dedicate that time to doing shit outside. Honestly I'm much happier - as well as healthier.
And wealthier. Going to the movies costs a lot of money these days.
I've cunningly spotted the problem and have a brilliant solution. Stop giving money to people that hate you and want you and your family dead.
Just stop.
Man, like... woah.
Every woman is simultaneously incredibly strong and powerful, but also terrified of a man simply approaching her in a way she didn't preapprove of. This is actually a pretty solid reflection of the real life demographic they cultivated, and these movies keep it a self sustaining cycle.
You have to be blind not to notice the agenda. What turned me off to most modern entertainment. Boring and patently false narrative
I don’t pay much attention to most modern entertainment. Netflix right now is finding success in showing more Korean things because all American stuff now’s woke ass nonsense.
That’s because racially and culturally homogeneous casts and stories are more identifiable and relatable even if they are not your own race or culture. Everyone would rather watch an accurate representation of some other race/culture than some progressive utopian melting pot fiction that doesn’t exist (outside of forced environments like universities).
Yeah. It’s why it’s weird to have a black chick as the queen of a medieval European period. Although in context Tom Cruise made sense in Last Samurai, that’s also why that film got criticized for that because it’s a deeply Japanese thing and the last samurai’s a white guy.
Sometimes it’s fine as long as everything else is good, like Stranger Things making the black kid a star basketball player and getting a nice girl and all that. He was also decidedly not urban ghetto black, which was true of his sister as well. He was just some kid, which was great. Most great black characters in film and TV aren’t usually ghetto welfare black types into hip hop, unless the fact that they are is the point of the joke, like Fresh Prince of Belair.
It’s probably no coincidence that all popular black actors and actresses seemingly never play the ghetto black stereotype. Idris Elba, Denzel, etc. The closest you’d get is Samuel L Jackson but for the most part he just says Motherfucker better than anyone in history, he’s not usually made out to be ghetto. The ones that do try seem to have their careers go nowhere eventually, like Martin Lawrence. Kevin Hart’s right on the line but he basically plays the formerly ghetto guy that made it and is rich and isn’t really all that ghetto outside of a hip hop vibe. I might be wrong as I’m not a scholar of black actors and actresses off the top of my head but at least thinking on it, it appears true.
Have you ever heard of the Ainu people of Japan?

Haha, been a while since I’ve seen it I guess! The main criticism was the idea that it was Tom Cruise though based on the title, which people were still critical of.
Most normies don't wake up, in fact it's a defining characteristic. The thing is, though that, being normies, they follow. If we manage to pry culture away from the current cultists, the normies will suddenly be on our side. They won't have 'woken up' or anything, but the new leaders will be giving them a new narrative. You don't have to wake the normies up and, most of the time, you can't. The ones you can were probably never full normies to begin with.
You think that’s bad? My favorite genre is horror, I’ve been relegated to basically only Asian horror because the amount of wahman and black people scared of white people have sucked all creativity out of any American horror.
Will we see another remix of the Floyd summer of love soon?
The common theme in these films might be Predictive programming.
As for normies, I once thought as you but when I see the box office for latest marvel movies, Star Trek/Star Wars convention crowds, and the fact that people are actually excited about WOT season two and LOTR I have little hope
I will say that I question your circle of normies then. Because most of the normies I talk with hate what they are doing with LOTR (and much like the Star Wars sequels, refuse to acknowledge anything past the Jackson movies), think modern Marvel is boring, and are generally not thrilled with modern media and are retreating back to older stuff or Anime. Even my fiancé, who is the very definite of Kurt Schlicters "Militant Normal" sees a lot of the same trends we see and hates the SJW's (she just thinks that our side gets a stick up their ass too easy).
I meant from what I see in those Star Wars celebration videos and stuff. Most people I know don’t like what has become of Star Wars. A lot of my comic book collecting friends stopped getting subs. But I think I may give too much weight to the fawning praise you see of every “reimagining” you see come out
I would say you are. The sort of people who go to those sort of events are the absolute minority of the most hardcore fans. And it doesnt take a huge audience to fill out something like that, so you can make it look bigger than it actually is. Meanwhile, most people are going for other things.
After all, at the same time Comics are struggling to break even (never mind make a profit), you saw Eric July make almost $4M in a month on a completely new IP and nothing but word of mouth.
I am far more confident that the Normie tide is on our side....assuming we dont go off and become a bunch of puritanical prudes in response ourselves. Because I have already seen some starting to get queasy at the creeping re-emergence of Christian fundamentalism taking place on the right-ward wing at the moment.
Yea I ordered my copy of Eric’s comic book. I’m a pretty traditional Christian but you cant force your views on people. It’s best to let people approach you about certain topics. I hope you are right though. If we can get the people who automatically watch any Star Wars, marvel, etc to stop doing that it would be great. Also Hollywood has to have received the message that an obsession with diversity ruins entertainment
I’ve seen 2 people I know in real life excited for LoTR. One is the type easily impressed by bad cgi. So he’s the perfect mark for the show. The other has built his whole personality about liking “nerd stuff.” The type of person who can not understand how anyone could dislike anything marvel after infinity war, or any Disney Star Wars.
We're just now seeing post George Floyd scripts coming to theaters so this isn't surprising.
I saw those same previews when I went to see Dragonball Super this weekend. The worst one is the girl who I guess becomes some vampire bride in England. It looked silly.
Black chicks are decent in those movies where they get repeatedly oppressed. Big catalog available on hornpub.
Normies are happily participating in this shit.
I mean "Anti-sjw" and/or conservatives have completely and utterly internalised feminist dogma what hope is there for normies?
The agenda. Prepare your family for chaos.
Tfw the academy awards scene in naked gun 3 is an actual reality now. I cannot wait for their new movie, where a black woman struggles to make ends meet while being afraid of white men, in the holocaust!
