When one considers the factors that actually get people out into the streets like in Sri Lanka, they're essentially only economic. People have a comparatively much higher tolerance threshold for sociocultural rot; but if they're economically suffering, their tolerance quickly wears thin, a la the Weimar.
Now, who is least likely to be economically suffering of the mentioned groups? I'd wager that 'Graduate Degree' greatest correlates with higher living standards. These are the people whose earnings are high enough that they can afford to take a hit, and thus can afford to preserve their Left or Far-Left beliefs in the unfortunately common event that they harbour them. But the '19-29' and 'No College' groups are, conversely, on the frontlines of the economic troubles.
I think the persisting black support is the one that raises questions, because that clearly doesn't correlate with higher living standards. In their case, however, I'd wager that it is because they are far greater beneficiaries of the current order of things compared to the other groups. The system is geared towards them—especially its deep opposition to the various structural, institutional -isms and -phobias of which they believe themselves to be victims—in a way that it simply isn't for the other groups. Notice that ageism (a term many probably haven't even heard of, much unlike 'racism') and discrimination against the less educated aren't considered anywhere near the issue that 'racism' is.
You're talking about people that have spent their entire lives to date being trained that the only thing wrong with the globalist agenda is that the US isn't implementing it fast enough, both domestically and in terms of compelling the US's friends and neighbours to do so themselves.
What I have observed is that academia has an enormous bubble. It's hard for the physics teachers to talk to the chemistry teachers, let alone the Economics proffs talking to the Physics proffs. They don't know what the other is doing for the most part. They live in their offices, go to school bought houses, and have insurance and everything else taken care of. In their minds, this is socialism. They don't see the garbageman, the janitor, and other personnel who don't have this at the school.
At no point do they think the stores they go to, the restaurants they attend, or any form of entertainment they enjoy doesn't have some form of their idea of socialism.
Marketing. Polls are fake and this is a nice way for the NYT to turn to its dumber readers and say “you aren’t one of those dumb people that disapprove of Biden, are you?”
I think blacks will still support at 90 percent. Maybe Republicans can’t get 15 percent. Nice to see Hispanics but people with degrees doesn’t surprise me
It is clear that the Democrats can always rely on the graduate degree vote and Black vote.
Even with inflation, gas prices, woke culture, crime rampaging, these two demographics refuse to not support Dems.
GOP needs to take all the money they wasted on Blexit and focus it on groups that they can actually win.
The GOP needs to focus on getting dictator margins with non college degree voters of all ethnic backgrounds and work on getting better Hispanic margins.
Yea. I’m black and I’ve been saying it’s a waste of time to focus so heavily on getting the black vote. My dad has been saying it longer than me. Now if the money spent on blexit had shown to make a difference that would be another story. I totally agree with you about the non college grads. Plus I live in Texas so the Hispanic shift has been a pleasant surprise. Also in 2020 Trump lost white male vote so you can’t do that
The worst part is that they implemented policies based on Blexit, like the First Step Act. That has wider ramifications beyond them wasting campaign funds.
Exactly. And there was no return on investment at all. I remember screaming at the tv that they are wasting their time. Simply talk about school choice and more business and job opportunities. Stuff that should appeal to everyone
It's interesting how far they are willing to go to court blacks away from Dems. First Step Act and Platinum Plan were George Soros tier awful. It's literally the kind of policy his Open Society think tanks would come up with.
Meanwhile, they left ~2 million white voters without degrees unregistered to vote in Wisconsin, a state Trump barely won in 2016 and barely lost in 2020. There seems to be a line in the sand that they won't cross when it comes to courting whites.
Exactly. I was surprised about the first step act and platinum plan because it sounded like the kind of pandering I criticize liberals for. And you can’t lose votes in your biggest support base which they did. My dad said to simply talk about stuff like school choice and the importance of business opportunities and jobs.
GOP needs to take all the money they wasted on Blexit and focus it on groups that they can actually win.
That was a big Trump policy failure. Asians and especially hispanics are much more likely to vote GOP and the money and effort should be focused there. Running likable hispanic candidates has paid off in south Texas. Similarly, running ethnic Vietnamese Republicans in Orange County CA paid off in 2020, and that should be tried again even further.
I was surprised at how white Orange County still is. My message to Asians would be that even if the local candidate shares your values, electing them ultimately only promotes the Nancy Pelosi agenda -- ie people who hate you. A vote for a Democrat is a vote against your kid getting into Harvard. Oversimplified, but maybe that will sell.
True. I’ve known some religious black ppl who don’t like the direction the Dems are moving but still refuse to vote Republican so they stay home. Which I guess is better than nothing.
Difference between supporting Biden and voting for him over a Republican. No doubt Democrats will continue a strong showing on black vote. Also, despite being a demented old white guy, Biden is perceived as the anointed of the Great One Obama.
Oh wow look at that black people still support biden. Even fucking hiden. I'll wait for all the retards to show up and tell me again why it's racist to say white men are the ones standing against this shit.
It's nice to see white people looking based for once...although sadly a bunch of that stat is probably lefty whites pissed of that killing babies might get a little harder in some places.
The Graduate Degree part is proof that Academia is divorced from reality, but the Black part genuinely surprises me. What has this faux presidency possibly done to even remotely help the black population? Indirectly or specifically?
When have blacks ever demanded that Democrats actually help the black population?
Now, we shouldn't fall in the same trap as those idiots who claim that GOP voters who 'vote against their economic interests' are dumb, stupid, lazy, etc. These blacks may simply believe that Republicans are 'racist', so they might not want to vote GOP even if it is in their best economic interests. You don't want to support people who hate you, after all.
That it's not true is beside the point. Perceptions are more important than reality.
What do republicans offer black people? Nothing that will ever compete with endless gibs, immunity from prosecution under Soros DAs, and a permanent moral high ground over every other racial demographic (save one, of course). Blacks will never vote against democrats because democrats unleash all of the worst cultural proclivities of blacks. Criminality and violence, dependence on the state, hatred of non-blacks - all excused and encouraged by democrat politicians. As a voting block, blacks will never turn down that total package.
Nothing that will ever compete with endless gibs, immunity from prosecution under Soros DAs, and a permanent moral high ground over every other racial demographic (save one, of course).
It's not doing them any good though. Would you accept this and be in the state that the black community is in? Obviously not. Unless you're a useless idiot and a criminal, the solicitude of the Democrats isn't getting you anywhere.
I have pretty much given up on trying to convince other black people to not blindly support Dems. Granted Republicans aren’t perfect but if given the choice I’ll vote R every time. My brother gave up trying to convince anyone as well.
Yeah, Republicans have been worthless. That said, I'm obviously not an American so not voting, but the only thing that makes me want to be a Republican is the absolute rage with which all the bad actors talk about Republicans.
As if Republicans are actually any good at accomplishing anything!
In terms of strategy, I think it's far easier to get leftists to agree with you on policy that on party. So just convince them instead that wokeness is bad. Or that transing kids is bad. That's what I do, in part because it would make no difference anyway which of our eight identical parties they would vote for.
True. At best I’m voting for lesser evil, at worst it’s the whole meme of the cows entering Republican and democrat doors with both leading to slaughterhouse
Auron McIntyre calls conservatism the 'ideology of managed defeat'.
If we're never gaining any ground, only surrendering more slowly, there is not much point to it. We need to roll back some of their nonsense so there is hope for our future.
May be, but to me that doesn't explain the approval rating from the black population. When you have a huge difference from tbe white and hispanic populations, that tells me that there is something very different about how the black population is being treated compared to everyone else.
People approve based on their partisanship, just like their perceptions of the economy switches immediately based on who is in power. It's sad, but it is what it is.
55 of people with graduate degree approve of biden? How and why?
Academia today is nothing but woke indoctrination centers.
The longer you are in academia such as going to grad school, the higher the chance you become a woke npc.

They think the NYT is for 'smart people' and that by reading it, they're 'smart', and by echoing every opinion that it spreads they are 'smarter'.
That's the problem.
Did they count black people, or only people that voted for him?
Yes.
I think blacks will still support at 90 percent. Maybe Republicans can’t get 15 percent. Nice to see Hispanics but people with degrees doesn’t surprise me

It may have been 1 million. I read it over a year ago now and am having trouble digging up articles about it now.
Which makes more sense:
white men abandoned “their” party in order to vote for the party that openly hates and attacks them
the routinely and demonstrably dishonest media fabricated exit polls in order to sow misinformation
When you put it that way. 2
Without ballet harvesting the dems wouldn't get the black vote either. e: I just noticed I wrote "ballet harvesting."
Blexit was a huge mistake. Even after focusing that much on blacks and zero on Latinos, it was Latinos who turned sharply towards Trump.

And Whites, Christians, and Conservatives should stop voting GOP so that maybe the GOP will covet their vote and do something for them.
Not a horrible idea.
90% will vote Democrat, but this level of disapprovement means they will be less likely to vote overall.
True. I’ve known some religious black ppl who don’t like the direction the Dems are moving but still refuse to vote Republican so they stay home. Which I guess is better than nothing.
Glad to hear at least some Dem voters are staying home!
I think the best thing the GOP can hope for concerning the Black vote is for depressed turnout.
Any Dem voter staying home is a good thing.
Agreed
Now we just need to get the dead Dem voters to stop voting.
They're not a reliable GOP voting bloc by any means but even if the Dems lose 15% of blacks, the Dems are in serious trouble.
Difference between supporting Biden and voting for him over a Republican. No doubt Democrats will continue a strong showing on black vote. Also, despite being a demented old white guy, Biden is perceived as the anointed of the Great One Obama.
Imagine being being black and supporting Biden. Wtf is wrong with other black people
The issue is, if you don't support Biden, you quickly lose your melanin and stop being black, so there's only a small polling window.
Yea I thought this time there would be a noticeable shift but nope. My cousins would vote democrat no matter what it seems
Oh wow look at that black people still support biden. Even fucking hiden. I'll wait for all the retards to show up and tell me again why it's racist to say white men are the ones standing against this shit.
The one group he did worse in. Can’t let that happen. Simple facts aren’t racist
Again, it didn’t happen. The liars lied.
Thanks for clarifying. I kept reading that and didn’t double check.
Here's the full breakdown.

Turns out college lowers your IQ.
At least we know a Venn Diagram of those two groups looks like Pamala Anderson's tits.
18-29 being so low is rather shocking to me. Especially considering most content creators targeting this demographic are very pro-Biden.
Free crack pipes go a long way!
