CDPR demonstrated that it is compromised a long time ago, by both GOG's behavior and itself's. It's Polish in name only, like most transnational elites and corporations.

I remember hearing the line "A multinational corporation has loyalty to no nation, only the bottom line". I kind of wish that was the case, because a purely profit driven company is preferable to one pushing the globalist agenda.

I suspect that the MNCs are not as committed to globalism as we would think. Sure, it benefits them, so they promote it - but just watch in awe with how much speed they scurried back under their rocks when Disney got wrecked.

It's not nearly enough - there needs to be a sustained political and legal war on these MNCs, but if one attack yields so much, you can only imagine how easy they are to 'persuade'.

I live in Poland. It's pretty great. But the large multinational corporations with headquarters and outposts here are infected with stupidity due to constant cooperation and contact with western europeans.

For example, my Polish colleagues all talk massive shit about the companies "equity" programs and think that Diversity is a scam--but if we talk massive shit openly, we tend to get in trouble from executives further up the food chain who are rarely Polish.

Also, you of all people won't be surprised by this, but Polish Women are still women, and so lean left and tend to be emotional thinkers. Many companies are 50% female, and 90% in middle management. The consequences of that are exactly what you might expect.

That said, the number of mega-based women in Poland is much higher than in other countries, and conservative women are fairly common over here, so not all is lost.

I think you greatly underestimate the extent to which the 'civil rights' nonsense has led to effectively government-imposed wokeness. It's way worse even than in Western Europe.

Yes, and so is Uk...

They are unlikely to succeed using the 2nd against the overwhelming power of the heavily militarized American state. As for the 1st, it is basically a dead letter given the power of corporations to fire and censor.

That's just taking things to their inevitable conclusion which is not guaranteed. Supply chains in the US are such that an internal military intervention against a non-docile populace is NOT a cake walk. Unless you mean the US military is going to nuke their own land.

As for the erosion on the 1st, I agree it is being weakened by corporations, and their ilk, BUT it is far from toothless, unlike the non-existent protections in the rest of the Western democracies.

That would fatally compromise the state's legitimacy, so they will not. But I really doubt the population is capable of spontaneously organizing any sort of resistance against the state. I think they would be quickly put down - at least, at the moment. If the state becomes fully tyrannical, things might change.

As for the erosion on the 1st, I agree it is being weakened by corporations, and their ilk, BUT it is far from toothless, unlike the non-existent protections in the rest of the Western democracies.

So called democracies. Neither the US, nor any of the European countries, are 'democracies', but rather oligarchies.

But you are correct. The problem is that 1st works extremely well against government censorship. But it does not work at all against private censorship. If I had to choose between speaking my mind while holding a job that can be targeted, I'd rather do that in Europe than in the US, because at-will employment basically allows your employer to curate your views.

Here? If I'm fired, I'll sue the company and the court will order my re-instatement. Not that it will happen, because companies know that it is illegal and they will not bother firing you to please the mob to begin with. And mobs know that companies will not bow for that reason, so they do not target people's jobs to begin with. It's a virtuous cycle.

I'm trying to be objective and not chauvinistic. I know Europe is a shithole as well. I think 1st + employee protections would be the best of both worlds.

It seems like their infamous work culture, extended crunch times, and PR controversies led to most of their older, experienced team leaving. What is left is the diversity hires and other low quality employees who are entirely unrelated to the previous management. I don't know exactly who started or is currently running the company so this might not be completely correct.

This seems to be pretty accurate. The quality of their most recent game(Cyberpunk 2077) and their intention of switching to Unreal engine both make me think they've lost a majority of their most talented employees.

Sometime between The Witcher 3 and it's DLC. TW3 base game is amazing, but the DLC is full of pants-on-head retarded wokeshit like that female leader Gwent card being 124451512x more powerful than every other card (basically instant win for the round), putting your foot down on misogynist city guards while a monster abducts and eats people, or forced side quests about some rando bandit leader who's super badass and scary but they're a woman!

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 3 ▼
– Galean 3 points 4 years ago +3 / -0

I do not remember those and Gwent was nice but I did not pay to much attention to it. I thought the DLCs were great, it was the main game I had a problem with. In the Blood and Whine you had male hero fighting for a beautiful woman and winning her heart and saving her from a curse. It also had some cool bro moments, I honestly do not remember the woman bandit or misogynist city guards. Heart of Stone was all guy stuff, loved that one, is not long but it was so cool.

The main game however had some very female woke moment, you had a female blacksmith arc that made 0 sense, it was so incredibly forced that it was ridiculous and in Skellige you had the daughter that was so perfect, she beat her muscle bound brother in a fist duel, she is smarter, faster and without flaws while her dumb brother was off killing his own man by being toxic or what ever, and ofc the rest of the people do not like that she is a girl, she even comes with the plan instead of Geralt, the game literally forces you to pick her by giving you a talent point that is available only if you chose her.

On top of that there was a racism moment that was cringe as fuck with this dwarf. The word racist is a very modern word that has no place in a medieval fantasy setting, you can touch on racism without using it, but they just had to.

In the main game you do not realize the feminism because you also have sexy girls and Geralt is not emasculated and I think he even saves one of the witches at one point and has sex with her.

I thought that the writers changed somewhere mid game as the content and story fall dramatically. I thought it was because they had to hire a lot of people to keep on schedule but then the DLCs was made by the main team. Judging by current news I was wrong and the DLCs being good was just luck.

in Skellige you had the daughter that was so perfect...

Yea, she was the ridiculous Gwent card. Her brother was just a vanilla 10 drop, but she was also a 10 drop that had an extra power to summon up to 3 shield maidens from the deck, 4 drops with tight bond, giving you a whopping 46 points for playing one card (assuming all three shield maidens are still in the deck).

▲ 4 ▼
– Galean 4 points 4 years ago +4 / -0

Not surprised, it was a classical Mary Sue fan fiction quality character, there is no way they would have allowed the Gwent card not be OP and to show her better then her brother.

The guy who preposterously claimed that the European Central Bank was going to impose mandatory vaccination on all member states is at it again.

I'm not keeping count, because it would be impossible, but you're wrong yet again, as you always are.

This woman in fact opposed the mandatory vaccination that was proposed in the Polish parliament.

Anna Wawrzyniak: The draft law on amenities for entrepreneurs during an epidemic leads to unjustified privileging and discrimination

....On a constitutional basis, introducing universal compulsory immunization against COVID-19 would require confirmation that the adoption of the COVID-19 vaccine not only reduces the risk of severe disease, but also significantly reduces virus transmission. Unfortunately, the theses about limiting virus transmission are not confirmed by the current state of scientific knowledge. On the other hand, medical reports indicate that there are groups of people for whom vaccination is not justified, and may even be inadvisable.

...Such a legal structure favors some entrepreneurs, and induces others to obtain a privileged status, and the argument is based on the possibility of pursuing a profitable activity or suffering large financial losses, or even the necessity to close the company. This, in turn, leads to sanitary segregation of citizens and deepens existing social divisions.

So... she actually agreed with you 100%, but that (obviously) won't stop you from hating her, which had nothing to do with vaccination to begin with.

Are you capable of getting anything right? Literally anything?

Quick, make up something else. Catholicism tradcuck taxing single men for their large families UNITED FEMDOM!

Nah, I'll blame you for blindly believing everything that you read online.

You really should have considered for a moment: hey, why would a right-wing Catholic organization would support mandatory vaccination? Perhaps I should look into this before making a fool of myself yet again.

It's not even impossible for this to be the position of the organization. Some right-wing Catholics, like Adrian Vermeule (another woman supporting mandatory vaccination), support this sort of thing in the name of 'the common good'.

But you saw 'WOMAN' and jumped the gun, as you always do.

P.S. Did you ever get around to demonstrating your claim that Elon Musk supports a 'bachelor tax'? Or was that another one of your lies?
