It seems like their infamous work culture, extended crunch times, and PR controversies led to most of their older, experienced team leaving. What is left is the diversity hires and other low quality employees who are entirely unrelated to the previous management. I don't know exactly who started or is currently running the company so this might not be completely correct.
This seems to be pretty accurate. The quality of their most recent game(Cyberpunk 2077) and their intention of switching to Unreal engine both make me think they've lost a majority of their most talented employees.
