Here in NZ, our current protestors occupying Parliament just weathered a large storm in tents. They now have an overload of supplies - hay to soak up the mud delivered by farmers, wet weather gear, ear plugs to block out harassing music, portable heaters, a huge supply of food. The thing is, none of these came from donations to a single website. It was all bought or collected, donated, and delivered by volunteers. Volunteers were offering these people showers and places to get dry. Decentralised individuals. There's no easy way to shut that down. Sure, we're a small country and it was all somewhat haphazard, but it works. And more than that, it involves people doing a lot more than clicking a few buttons, and instead getting off their arses and actually being involved in the movement. Becoming an actual part of it. That is how we build a new society. That is how we win.
I'm confident the Canadian truckers will find a way around this. They're competent and resourceful people. They fix problems. And they have a sufficient public support to keep the movement supplied, in one way or another.
This is why I'll always attack the idiots who try and bargain and reason with the left. Those fools who still push equality, neutrality, and "unbiased rules."

The journalism collective DDoSecrets secured a copy of the leaked donor data from GiveSendGo.
DDoSecrets always seems to magically secure a "copy" of the data when a non-leftist site gets hacked. Pretty obvious they're not just some innocent "journalists".
I can't find any official confirmation that GiveSendGo has been hacked. The site is down for maintenance. This just seems like dweebs on Twitter are LARPing... again, and the people is falling for the bait... again. I've seen this before.
I heard GSG was hosted on Amazon servers. I've never looked into it to confirm whether or not that's true. If that is the case, and there was any foul play, my guess is they took the site offline.
We should double down on principles and non interference, we can't interfere with other people and their wish to move here and compete for low skill jobs.
These hacktivist groups are state level actors. American tech companies are a branch of the government as much as Tencent or Baidu are in China. The form of the various major powers aren't much different once you scrap off the ideological exterior.
Not to mention culture is set up so that any potential up and coming tech guy will be pozzed by the time he's out of high school. Not to mention the large chance today that they fall victim to the groomers etc

You have to assume any website out there is inevitably going to be breached - see Google leaking 50+ million G+ accounts, 500 million FB accounts getting leaked, and the Twitter admin account breach all within the last couple years. Your security WILL be breached, it's just a matter of time, and that is adjusted by the motivation levels of the attackers. And, even if we make the assumption that no alphabet agencies are involved, the media frenzy means there's a lot of (figuratively, if not literally) bloodthirsty nutters out there determined to act the brownshirts and stomp out the "white supremacists".
The question becomes (beyond putting measures in place to stop most attackers), how do you organize your systems to ensure that when the breach happens it does minimal damage to your users. All the names getting leaked is bad, yes, but I would hope (and have heard nothing to the contrary) that in this case the financial data for all of these people is safe
These people are cowards who are, deep down, ashamed of themselves; that's why they hide. That and they're likely working for the establishment and would embarass some very prominent people if they were exposed.
I want people to know I donated. I want them to know I went to Ottawa. Because the people who are opposing the truckers are cowards and fascists and, if there are any in my life, I want to know who they are.
