[Tweet] "Boomer man just said he couldn't be impartial enough for the [Rittenhouse] jury because he believed in the 2nd Amendment/federalist papers, one of the biggest problems on the right is that people are extremely naïve, to the point of stupidity." (archive.md)

You see it with judges, too. For all the bellyaching about "conservative" judges, they actually look at the law and swing either way. Liberal judges just always side with liberals.

Christcucks are a plague to Christians

if God gave us the instincts to be disgusted by and want to kill evil, to deny them would be to deny God

You'd probably get weird looks from a lot of Christians in the West for saying that. Or maybe that should be "Christians" with how much the various sects have been subverted over the past century.

I'm starting to worry about one some relatives of mine go to. That church is Southern Baptist but even there they're starting to sprinkle words like "diversity" into bulletin announcements, heard it a few times in a sermons.

Wokeism is certainly in the religious colleges. If I'm seeing it in Southern Baptist orgs there's no telling how much further along it is in the Episcopalians, Presbyterians, Lutherans, and Methodists.

Actually, I know it's really far along with the Methodists. They almost had a split over gay marriage back in 2018/2019 and the only reason it didn't split was because of the votes from the African (the continent) delegates. We know it's far along in the Catholic church and what few churches are left in Europe. The various Orthodox sects seems to be doing more or less okay, at least.

My dad, a Methodist pastor, was at that conference. He was always saying "Thank God for North Katanga."

It's hard to say whether their naivety or their active measures at atomizing their own families is the more damaging attribute.

The dual ideas that parents needed to kick their kids out of the house on their 18th birthday and bounce their last check before they die -- ensuring that wealth cannot accumulate past a single generation's ability to build it -- are also popular among boomers and have also been extremely damaging.

Boomers are effectively Leftist, even the right-wing ones, if we're being totally honest.

These are people who believed that it was normal to work in one large Mega-Corporation at a single factory job all your life, and that the Labor Union was a very good thing that functioned as the center of your community. Don't worry, staying at your single Corporation for 50 years would merit you a small house in suburbia, a retirement for 5 years before you died, and you got your Social Security check so long as you registered yourself to the government.

That's how much damage 12 years of Roosevelt did. He was a Democratic Socialist, and he hilariously made people into Democratic Socialists on the Left, Social Democrats on the Right, and we've been pulling away from that ever since.

Meanwhile the "conservative" politicians were like "best I can do is lower taxes".

(and somehow taxes kept going up anyway)

Most of these politicians were never conservative in the first place. They were crony capitalists and members of the establishment first-and-foremost who said whatever they needed to in order to get elected, then joined hands with the Democrats to do whatever served the establishment's interests.

Looks like this account and Jack Posobiec are livetweeting the Kyle Rittenhouse proceedings.

Smh at the Boomercon. Way too many of 'em out in the world. Though, nothing to say it's just a case of some guy not wanting to put a target on his back. I would be surprised if a list of jurors, their names, and who knows what else doesn't get leaked sooner or later.

Most companies have jury duty paid time off, it's only a problem if you're self employed.

Most trials don't last 8 months. You can't use an extreme example to argue against this point. Jury duty is important, every day someone goes on trial for self defense and the leftists who don't want to get out of two or three days of jury duty aren't going to be fair.

If I didn't want to do jury duty, I'd just yell guilty the whole time.

that doesn't help you control the outcome of the jury trials, Even though you are correct it's a fucking stupid thing to do. you should be going in and acting dumb so that they will leave you on thinking you are easy to control and gullible and then at the very least you can throw a mistrial

This is stupid and demoralizing.

Beliefs don't make you partial or impartial. Impartiality is when there is a conflict of interest or pre-existing bias for/against a particular person (i.e. friendship, grudge). There is no expectation for people to be mindless robots incapable of subjective thought or belief.

This is what happens when someone internalizes the abuse from the Left and behaves as if they're ashamed of their beliefs and principles.

Sir that’s not an issue with impartiality, that’s you knowing the law and therefore yes you have to do jury duty.

To borrow a line from the OG Ghostbusters, "If someone asks if you are a god, you tell them YES". There's no way in hell Rittenhouse is going to get anything close to resembling a fair trial, because they prosecuting attorney is going to either pack the box with leftists, or they're going to send people to intimidate the jurors and their families. Dude is just as screwed as Chauvin was, from the jump.

It really depends on the wording of the question (I didn't read the article), but there are a lot of things you can say that are true without making their decision easier.

  • What do you mean by "believe" in the 2nd amendment mean? I guess I don't have a problem with it?

  • Sorry I haven't read much of the Federalist papers. I know it's one of our founding documents. So yeah I agree with whatever the law says.

  • I can't say if I'd be partial or impartial. That's for you to decide.

Basically they only want dumb or uneducated people as jurors.

Basically they only want dumb or uneducated people as jurors.

Probably a lot of truth to that. For example, if I was in a jury pool, I'd probably be kicked out during jury selection because I'm in law school.

you would. having been through a jury trial myself the DA worked feverishly to cause anybody with a college degree to eliminate themselves and when that failed he used his available exclusions to remove them

Uneducated housewives used to be the mold of what you wanted for a Jury. Usually easily swayed by emotional arguments and appeals to what is "fair". Granted my wife was the one that spent nearly a decade in litigation. I was intellectual property...

The "other side" doesn't betray their principles for power. Their principles are to invert all traditional values that enable civilization and eudamonia, and the left has the will to power to enact them. Progressives aren't evil because they enforce morals; they are evil because their morals are evil.

Boomer principles are to abandon all the institutions and tactics that prevents progressive centralization, then act surprised when leftists take power.
