It's wild that the standard procedure for outbreaks that has been used for 100s of years is somehow now a conspiracy. What it is is actually anti-authoritarian rule. That is the crime. This is all about power and control.

The biggest lie by far is that of asymptomatic transmission. Indeed, it may one day become known as the biggest lie, told to the largest number of people, in the shortest space of time. The claim was based chiefly on an incident in Germany, where a Chinese lady, who was thought to have been asymptomatic, was said to have spread the illness. However, it subsequently turned out that she did in fact have symptoms, but had suppressed them with medication. Yet that was scarcely reported on, and by that time the myth that this was some kind of new, mystical disease that could be spread by people with no symptoms had been born, and with it the basis for the Lockdowns, masks, and the myriad of other bizarre, dystopian restrictions placed upon us. Later in the year, a huge study of 10 million people in Wuhan showed zero cases of asymptomatic spread, but as you can probably guess this was entirely ignored by Governments and media around the world.

Interestingly, the page has been taken down and all that remains is the archive.

Suppressed symptoms with medication. Yes, just like people have done with the cold and flu for ages now. Cold and flu medications which even have advertised with the line "No one will know you're sick!"

A couple years ago, if you suggested that maybe you shouldn't bring Little Johnny to the old age home to visit Granny while he has the sniffles would be met with "You hate children! Eee!" or something ... never mind the couple of frail ones on oxygen that dropped dead a couple weeks after Sniffly Johnny's visit ....

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized OR IF PEOPLE ARE SICK IN WHICH ALL PERSONS WITHIN THE BORDERS OF THE US MAY BE PHYSICALLY DETAINED WITHIN THEIR HOMES FOR AN INDEFINITE LENGTH OF TIME BY ORDER OF GOVERNMENT FIAT

Why do you right-wingers hate the constitution?

Interesting - all of the arguments against eternal lockdown are "I want to lead a normal life now!"

The argument in favour? "Shut up and fuck off, I told you to be scared!"

Here's the thing: if people were getting seriously ill, it wouldn't be up for debate among the population about whether they were concerned about it.

People are scared of disease, it's an instinctual response. Same way that they are scared of dead bodies or open wounds. They are viscerally afraid of getting sick. You really don't need to tell people to be scared, you can just tell people that there is a disease and they will be scared.

If they aren't scared of the disease anymore, one of 3 things has happened:

  • The disease is so endemic that few people really care about getting it.
  • Other needs are more important than the disease.
  • The disease isn't harming people the way they were expecting.

COVID-19 is literally all 3. The disease isn't as harmful as was previously thanks to it's mutations, which is causing people's other needs to be important, and it's become endemic so that it's no longer relevant to be scared of getting it. It's becoming the equivalent of the Flu.

The response to "See you soon" is "No, you won't" because of all 3 of these factors.

Didn't the WHO change the definition of a pandemic shortly before declaring it as such? Also by some definition it should no longer be considered a pandemic, even if it once was.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 8 ▼
– Intra 8 points 5 years ago +8 / -0

Even if the WHO changed their definition, the Wu Flu, if it exists, is now endemic to the west. Calling it a pandemic, forcing filthy masks on people and pumping fear porn into people's homes 24/7 is all about keeping the populace frightened and compliant as their inherent freedoms are stripped away in the name of protecting them from a virus with the same recovery rate as the flu.

Nice how the reasons to want to drop the lockdowns are all shallow and petty, nothing like wanting to get back to work before your savings run out or your family business goes bankrupt. And no diversity for that crowd, only members of the bad group would protest lockdowns of course

I wonder if they felt that way during the BLM/Antifa riots.. probably not. Notice how there's never a spike after those guys have been looting. Couldn't be because they were just making shit up.. government wouldn't do that surely..? Go on the internet and tell lies?

They didn't. In fact, the media staged multiple photo-ops of nurses going out to applaud Black National Socialists... who would then go and burn down a few police stations and most of a major metropolitan area's commercial district because racism is more dangerous than COVID.

Extremely unlikely now, unless none of the older protestors got a vaccine.

Even the less effective ones had 75%+ reduction in hospital admissions when compared to a control group.

The better things get, the lower the threshold to shut everything down the government sets.

The goalposts they keep moving, and even if they haven't changed the goalpost location yet, they will constantly ignore them in favor of harsher reatrictions.

Sometimes they bother retroactively changing the thresholds, sometimes they don't. They go with their feelings.

They feel shutting down non-essential buisness and schools lowers transmission.

It dosen't, because then you have people idle who will see eachother anyway. Kids and teens will be sent to their grandparents. They will play together.

"But look! Clusters in workplaces and schools are down!" Yeah they happen elsewhere now. Zero benefit to hospital capacity. You're just crashing the fabric of the economic system.

We should have a permanent lockdown... of the border. Stop letting people from third world shitholes bring their third world shithole problems to the West.

One of Australia's capital cities is in lockdown for our equivalent of the Memorial Day weekend because our treasonous government gave somebody permission to travel to India (a country infamous for its mishandling of infectious disease) for a wedding (a superspreader event) while they are at the height of a pandemic, and he brought COVID back and quarantined in a major metropolitan area.

I've never seen as many anti-vaxxers as the north american medical system.

Those are drawn to be elderly. Age-based vaxx distribution, they should be immune, right? So to imply they're going to be sickened, it to state that you believe vaccines do not work. Lemme guess, medical nurse clerk, they cause autism, too, don't they?

permalink save report block reply
▲ 23 ▼
– lgbtqwtfbbq 23 points 5 years ago +23 / -0

The WHO outright changed the definition of "herd immunity" to mean "immunity caused by mass vaccination of the population". Then you had the medical "experts" in America come on TV and say "but even if you're vaccinated you can still contract and spread the disease, so don't behave any different than when you weren't vaccinated"

At most one of these things can be true.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 8 ▼
– RoulerBleu 8 points 5 years ago +8 / -0

They also claimed that never in the history of medicine have we let a virus roam free for people to get natural immunity.

Except that exactly how we managed chickenpox untill a few years ago, and how most countries still manage chickenpox.

Let low-risk people ( kids ) catch it when there is statistically near-zero risk.

The WHO is lying and gaslighting. Rewriting history for propaganda purpose.

▲ 4 ▼
– lgbtqwtfbbq 4 points 5 years ago +4 / -0

Yes from the very beginning I thought we needed to treat this thing pretty much exactly like we treat chickenpox. Which is why it was so baffling to me why we closed the schools

The WHO is a bunch of shit-fucks, but every now and then they do actually say things about this thing that are more reasonable than what our CDC says; so they aren't the only ones to blame.

Here's the thing. They told us that there was going to be a short, temporary restriction. It was accepted because it was just a little while. Then they've been extending it a month at a time. It's now been 13 months. People are tired of asking, "How much longer are the restrictions going to last?" and hearing "Just a little while longer."
