They went out of their way to make her look that hideous. Here's how Aloy was supposed to look in the concept art before Ashley Burch came in and suggested they ugly her up: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/48/e5/70/48e570b93ea2fbbef9a6fcf3a2c0cf3b.png

Wow! I don't know who to blame more, the disgusting SJWs that wish to corrupt beauty, or the idiot consoomers who eat their shit up.

I know it's "just a game" and we shouldn't take it too seriously, but it feels like there's a primitive evil behind the desire to take something pleasant, and warp it into something "bleh". It's like what Tolkien's bad guys would do.

Before that Metroid Fusion had quite a few conversations (nothing like Other M of course) and I thought that was more than enough for a Metroid game. Certainly not "no dialogue".

The man who wrote that guide for Japanese artists is a hero.

Thinking about buying a printing press and distributing my own newspaper in my state's only big city. Something I think a lot of what people miss is there were forms of communications before 'tech' became what most perceive to be the only player in town.

Not suggesting you do this or that it's even possible, but I had the same thoughts regarding magazines. All those magazines you see at the front counter in the supermarket (most likely all owned by one or two companies) are probably losing money, but serving a very important propaganda function - targeting mostly women. Even when people don't read them, the covers alone subconsciously tell shoppers what's highly regarded or trendy in society. I'm going to puke if I have to see another cover telling us how wonderful Michelle Obama or Kamala Harris are.

It's such a big operation that you'd need someone with Trump money to infiltrate the industry.

Surely they don't want to audit the votes? That would undermine democracy.

With anonymous Internet comments you never know who's a real commie and who's a troll, but some of them are very convincing, and proud of it, and those are scary. I remember a conversation with one in YouTube comments. He seemed like a very friendly and reasonable "western European" type socialist at first. He tried to point out some of the "good things" that came out of the Soviet Union. However when confronted with the atrocities Stalin committed, he quickly shifted to deflection and lying to cover up the atrocities, then when pushed with evidence he asked for understanding: Stalin was overseeing a total conversion from a rural nation of farmers to a modern egalitarian industrial nation, and we can't judge him by today's standards. Under him "the soviets built great institutions of science and education, and employed millions of men and women".

When interrogated further, the commenter finally admitted that he thought that the millions killed in various massacres were "nothing but a statistic" and sometimes "people have to die for society to progress and move forward".

That polite leftist you're talking to, who claims they just want everyone to coexist and for the less privileged to be lifted up and given equity, is very likely an amoral sociopath.

Upvote for Eric July. He's an Ancap so I assume people here would not agree with him a lot of the time, but he has mostly based takes.

Realism

The fatty graphic designer working on the project couldn't let a 3D character upstage her.

"Neil Armstrong was a beautiful black woman and the first to land on the moon...."

That sounds really stupid but it's not that much different than the reality. I kinda wish they'd make a show like that so everyone sees how ridiculous it is.

Broken clocks are right twice a day.

I don't know anything about the feminist, but I'm growing to hate that phrase. It's as much of a thought terminator as the other cliched expressions people use in political arguments. My lefty coworker loves to use it when "right-wing conspiracy theories" turn out to be correct - refusing to admit that he might be the broken clock.

The people you're complaining about have nothing else to say. If they don't say "no shit, duh, we all knew that, hypocrisy" they'd have nothing to comment. At least let them help site engagement in whatever stupid way they can.

They always sound like NPCs getting old news from their approved list of publishers about things that real people knew about a year ago. Or talking about some bullshit conspiracy theory, woke ideology they are just parroting, or the latest narrative the cathedral is pushing.

"Hey did you hear about the new trend? WaPo says that eating cicadas is in this year. Our local bodega already put in an order for X Brood. I totally can't wait to try some ."

Inclusion is exclusion.

If you insist on adding "women's voices" to a publication, and emphasizing women, you must silence or reduce the role of men. Replace enough men with women and eventually it's all women writing about men.

Government run schools aren't really a bastion of free speech, no. You'll learn what we tell you to learn. Doesn't mean someone isn't a "genuine proponent" of free speech.

As for wearing a mask while personally sick? It's been done in East Asian countries for ages, and isn't the worst idea.

Right. When you're sick you're actually symptomatic - coughing and sneezing - so the mask catches that. It's just the polite thing to do. If simple cloth masks could stop plagues from spreading, most humans would have been wearing them forever. Over time we tend to figure those things out without studies.

Even the few friends I have who know about pepe, /pol/, wojaks, etc seem to be walking the line of normie-ville since they have kids now.

That's a shame. Someone with children should be even more responsible and honest, leading by example.
