The initial scare data didn't account for many tornados in the past being in rural areas and nobody knew they happened.

Once that was corrected for it turned out there weren't any more tornados now than in the past.

Trump seems to be taking advice from Jr now instead of Kushner, which is a really good sign.

Junior was pushing JD for vice, and he's definitely reading the populist areas of the internet whereas his dad is watching Fox or One America - whatever talk shows.

The worst possible outcome for deep state hit by far would be to get caught doing it. So doing it from the local police staging room is out of the question - too many people would have to be involved.

I think with a professional at range and a close patsy it's unlikely the target lives, and in this case it's basically divine intervention that saved him.

I don't know how anybody on the internet could know about a bullet being fired from farther away, maybe they know a detective on the case or something, but the idea of a longer range second shooter doesn't seem farfetched to me if it were a real hit.

Asians have built bridges grown from trees they shape over a hundred years.

Taiwan is going to return the China, but not after an amphibious assault. They'll just grow closer until one day the tree reaches back the mainland and they're one.

There've been some rumors that one of the shots was from 600 yards away based on the trajectory or whatever.

That would be similar to JFK with the patsy fallguy that can't shoot straight and the professional sniper that does the kill shot. The obvious patsy gives cover for the real sniper to get away, any evidence of a "second bullet" is hidden by the government.

With today's technology and knowledge I just don't believe there even is a level of incompetence that could allow what happened. Shooter clearly visible from overhead, for minutes if not tens of minutes, with civilians drawing attention to him. That it was a lone gunman is the conspiracy theory - could possibly be true, but deep state hit gone bad is so much more likely.

There's several principals here: Jack Black, Kyle Gass, and the Audience.

Jack Black may be forgiven, as he didn't say it and disavowed it (eventually). Kyle, if you're exceedingly tolerant and he issues a reasonable apology and explanation.

But the audience laughing cannot be forgiven - they most of all need to suffer consequences. Their beloved band should never play again. Tenacious D should be nuclear waste where people are shunned for saying they listen to it, certainly that it's their favorite band.

You seem to be saying Kamala would import more Indians so Americans of Indian descent would prefer her in charge even though she's a clown.

If she was at all competent that would be a valid concern, because that's what they do, but I just don't see anyone thinking she would be capable of doing that.

I imagine their thought process is if the parents are supportive the child or school will tell them about the pronouns and the child will get called the "right" thing everywhere.

If not, the child at least will get called the "right" thing at school instead of the parents insisting on biological sane science-based pronouns or pulling them out.

It's actually a greater indictment of them that they are capable of thinking rationally about this as it shows when it comes to gender swaps they just choose not to be rational.

How would you feel if you didn't eat breakfast??

4
fauxgnaws 4 points ago +4 / -0

I like how he looks like Al from Home Improvement.

edit: and Trump is like Tim Allen's character in many ways with the slightly over the top machismo and such as. Maybe somebody could make a good "Homeland Improvement" meme out of it.

So the MAGA faithful should be over the moon with this pick.

Well the MAGA over on TheDonald aren't. They're like "ugh could have been worse".

I don't see Vance backstabbing Trump like to get power, but he grew up a Democrat and all his family and friends were Democrats so I think he'll be a disappointment to traditional conservatives.

But in 4 years he could usher in a centrist populism that is basically what Trump is and a lot of what Bernie Bros like is just common sense like "you'll get paid as much if you do as good a job" - that's not left or right that's just sane.

3
fauxgnaws 3 points ago +5 / -2

If you were Indian, would you rather an incompetent Kamala actually having a real position or a nice Indian housewife who doesn't have any power but isn't a complete and utter embarrassment?

I think Vance will pick up a few Indian voters, but that's about all he'll do for the ticket.

He seems like a solid person to carry on Trump's legacy so choosing him seems like Trump is confident of winning.

Exactly, and the whole operation looked like keystone cops because of it.

If Trump hadn't done the fight fist there would have been panic in the audience and across the nation because of those women projecting weakness and incompetence.

fauxgnaws 12 points ago +12 / -0

You're not thinking crazy enough. They believe Trump had "microexplosives" on his ear to blow off a chunk and the bullet caught on camera is blurry because it was so far away from Trump it was out of focus.

fauxgnaws 6 points ago +6 / -0

The secret service agents didn't start to move Trump until they knew shooter was down. You can hear it on the audios. The primary threat is over at that point.

The group hug while moving him off stage is mostly theater, like the black sunglasses and dark suits, to project an image of power and control. Large, serious men are in control. Situation is under control.

So Trump raising his fist and saying "Fight" is actually in line with purpose of the maneuver.

Yes, I have a normal functioning brain.

I would explain to you what that is, but to understand what a normal functioning brain is you already need to have one.

fauxgnaws 6 points ago +6 / -0

It's not retarded, it's a strawman. You're saying it's a plan to boost Trump because the only other thing it could be is some deep state master plan that makes no sense.

What we have here is a flock of birds situation. It looks like they're all changing course and operating together as one, but really they're reacting locally with the same goals in mind.

The democrats in the SS, FBI, intel, local police all want Trump dead. They don't have to all work together in a plan, they just all half-ass their jobs. The SS puts the incompetent women on Trump, FBI doesn't investigate threats or try to infiltrate anti-Trump orgs, three letter agencies sit on intel, local police say "not my job" to people chanting "shooter on the roof!".

You think for all theses pieces to happen it has to be coordinated, but it's not. They just all want the same outcome and operate independently.

3
fauxgnaws 3 points ago +4 / -1

These kind of prophecies are just your brain putting the pieces together.

A shooter isn't going to go for Trump's center of mass because they believe he has some kind of bulletproof armor on.

They're either going to hit or have a near miss. If it's way off it's not taken seriously. So it wizzes by his ear.

He'll have less security and be out campaigning more in the summer.

Same thing with Alex Jones predicting the trade towers. How else would you even take down a skyscraper other than the airplanes? It was a known target so every other vector was defended against. If it's clear in hindsight then your brain can figure it out at the time.

If they'd actually managed to kill him, it would have been almost as disastrous for them as missing...possibly worse in the long run.

Why did the government allow this attempt to happen just days before the convention?

Because with Trump dead yesterday there wouldn't be time for the party to sort out a true Trump ideological populist successor and they could use their blackmail and leverage to get Haley or somebody just as bad. They'd have to put out rebellion fires here and there, but they have more than enough police state to do that. The threat to their democracy would be over.

But after the convention whoever Trump picks for VP would be the head of the ticket and whoever that is will be way, way worse for their democracy than Haley.

The timing is yet another reason to suspect deep state involvement because I doubt this patsy was thinking about what's the best way to help the deep state keep power.

Go back farther: A. E. van Vogt.

Tons of creative worlds and ideas that could be made into movies or whole shows.

His stories have a Lovecraftian mastery of the written word, but you experience his science-hero dreams instead of existential horrors.

Not a lot of character development, but good screenwriters can add that in.

Actors use Scientology for protection against Hollywood.

I used to think, how can Tom Cruz be so smart and well spoken and effective and fall for Scientology? Because he's not Jewish so being in a super-cult that's willing to file endless lawsuits, lie, cheat, intimidate, or even murder to protect its members is kind of a big deal.

Basically it's Judaism for non-Jews.
