Going off the Wikipedia list of top selling books of all time, it seems like the top 5 are:
-
The Hobbit. No sexual content here.
-
First Harry Potter book. Also no sexual content
-
The Little Prince. We're 3 for 3 so far.
-
Dream of the Red Chamber. No clue on this one, but since it's a 250 year old Chinese book I'm going to go with "even if there is some, it's probably very tame by modern standards)
-
And Then There Were None. And no sexual content here.
So, we're just about 5/5 so I think the answer is no.
Doesn't matter if they're overpaid, underpaid or paid identically. Simple fact is:
They freely negotiated and signed a contract. Then they realized that if they'd signed the men's contract they might get paid more. And then they complained.
If you're not happy with your contract, quit or renegotiate next time it's up. Schrodinger's Contract that shifts based on your performance to always pay you more doesn't exist.
She noted that the report mentions the race of a person’s parents used to be included on the public portion of the birth certificate and that information was recognized to sometimes lead to discrimination.
And, yet, it is still relevant medical information. There's tons of conditions which impact different races differently. Which is why that information is asked every time you go to a new doctor. So tell me, why shouldn't that info be recorded? And, if discrimination is as bad as you all say, what good did taking it off of the birth certificate do?
Disagree. It is blatantly better for consumers if Epic win. Walled gardens are anti-consumer.
I agree on Walled Gardens. But, then you've got Epic who decided to use their Fortnite money to drag games into the whole "your game can only be released on the Epic store for a year even if you already said it would be released on multiple platforms", plus the "we'll guarantee X number of sales" which - while potentially good for the devs - is terrible for the consumer.
So, from a consumer PoV, I'm highly skeptical about one being better than the other.
Hmmm. If only there had been some known, cheap, widely available medication that's been around for decades which could be prescribed at the first sign of infection to help for the last year and a half. But I'm sure coughhcqcough such a thing coughivermectincough such a thing doesn't exist
Dunno if he really was flat-out commie but I have heard he was quite lefty. That said, meh. Regardless of his political ideologies the content was good (most of it, anyway), and I'm not going to cancel-culture him. Of course, all irrelevant now it seems given GW's insanity.
Don't know if I see the issue. Given that 1/3 of the state's population lives in the LA metro area (and 10% of the state lives in LA proper), and you've got to pipe in 85% of your water, it seems like stealing water is commonplace.
Doesn't look like anything will make them rebel then.
Oh, sure, I've no doubt they'd try to get it classified as a hate crime or something. But for them to say "Draft is bad!!!!" when early feminists went around shaming every man not in uniform into dying in poison-gas soaked trenches, screw em.
His recall just hit the signature requirement and I'm sure the replacement will be even more insane.
Didn't he just win re-election in November (granted, over the crazy lady who had the skirt with pictures of commie dictators on it)? And they're recalling him now?
I'm actually a lot more excited about the olympics right now than I was a week ago - after Sweden clobbered the US Women's Soccer team yesterday, I'm hoping that they lose again on Saturday and thus get washed out in the first round. It's petty, sure, but watching them get annihilated after the years they've been whining that the contract they negotiated and signed was unfair will feel good.
From one of the tweets in that thread:
Johannesburg, South Africa, where's your Mandela now?
This is entirely in line with what he was pushing for. When your political party repeatedly turns a blind eye - and your wife openly endorses - filling tires with gasoline jamming it around someone's arms and neck and then setting it on fire, what do you think the end result is going to be?
“We don’t like necklacing, but we understand its origins,” A.N.C. President Oliver Tambo would eventually admit. “It originated from the extremes to which people were provoked by the unspeakable brutalities of the apartheid system.”
Gee, that sounds rather familiar. Rather similar to the "oh, we have to understand the rioters, it's the fault of years of white oppression that they're looting Target and Best Buy!"
Didn't this happen a couple years ago with Republicans in Oregon left the state over some Dem bill? And weren't Leftists demanding those representatives get arrested and dragged back in chains for the vote? And wasn't TD banned on Reddit for "threats against police" after the Leftists said that?
Pepperidge Farms remembers.
Yep. RIP Hitchbot. Cross Europe? Fine! Cross Canada? Fine! Get to Philadephia? Horribly murdered.
