Med school students are now controlling the narrative in med schools by "bullying" teachers into refusing to acknowledge biological sex (bariweiss.substack.com)

Fail them, plain and simple. If they whine kick them out of the school.

Really, this is the only correct and sane response. If someone refuses to acknowledge that having XX vs XY chromosomes leads to different health outcomes, they have no business being in medicine.

Teachers who don't conform get false accusations, probably.

sounds like something a bigot, racists HUEWHYYYYYTE MALE would do. Time for him to get "cancelled" and make way for a stunning and brave progressive he-she-it-they-them mixed-race party member.

In MED SCHOOLS.

China is laughing at us so much right now, and who would blame them?

We are in the midst of a full-blown radical leftist cultural revolution. It's here. It's happening as we speak.

Here's a snippet

“Take abdominal aortic aneurysms,” Lauren says. “These are four times as likely to occur in males than females, but this very significant difference wasn’t emphasized. I had to look it up, and I don’t have the time to look up the sex predominance for the hundreds of diseases I’m expected to know. I’m not even sure what I’m not being taught, and unless my classmates are as skeptical as I am, they probably aren’t aware either.”

Moral of the story: Stay the hell away from Doctors under 40.

I stay away from Medical Doctors period.

I would trust a medieval barber more at this point.

True. Medical error is the third leading cause of death in the US, and that's just reported errors, which tend to be more towards the egregious side.

Imagine how many minor errors are committed daily, that won't directly kill someone but perhaps lowers their quality of life, or results in latent problems going unsolved?

I don’t have the time to look up

You don't get a license to practice then. Walk off a cliff.

Realistically, generalists need to be tangentially aware of most maladies, with the ability to rapidly gain additional accurate information when they encounter a more rare condition.

There's too much for any one person to know, which is why specialists exist.

I wonder how many people clown world is going to have to kill before we collectively stand up and say "No"

Won't happen. Those of us who notice have no power. Everyone else is subject to the boiling frog syndrome. Humans are tolerant of any kind of living situation if you introduce it slowly. Otherwise you wouldn't have wealthy white people perfectly fine with living in South Africa. Unless the media announces that something is a problem, it's not a problem.

In other news, AI can detect race from chest x-rays with 99% accuracy and is so good at doing so it "can detect race from images filtered so heavily they are just blank grey squares"

Of course radiologists are freaking out because they don't understand how that's possible (probably because they've never tried) and want to neuter the AI so it's not "biased".

If it's correctly identifying them when they are just blank grey squares, maybe they just overtuned the modeling? I.e. the AI isn't actually detecting anything at all, it just has the dataset memorized.

Granted, I haven't read through all of it, but it seems to me that the grey square filtered are all images that have been fed to the AI before the filters were applied

From the replies this might be the AI detecting what is apparently an already known difference in bone density between races. Which makes this much less of an intriguing mystery, but still marks that radiologist as a wilfully ignorant cultist.

Any details on the bone density differences? I'm genuinely curious.

What do you mean tried?

Has a radiologist ever tried to determine a patient's race from chest x-rays? Probably not. This result implies they probably could if they tried, and the proper scientific response would be to try to understand how the AI did it instead of being afraid of the "racist" AI.

Oh ok thanks I wasn't sure what you were getting at. That would be all too sensible.

If the program is written to produce the best possible health outcome for the individual patient, its ability to accurately infer additional data from inputs is unequivocally a good thing.

Also, the rightmost image in the post is actually a blank grey square, and its accuracy fell off approaching it. The last image with some degree of accuracy a human could recognize as a heavily blurred chest x-ray.

"I don’t want you to think that I am in any way trying to imply anything, and if you can summon some generosity to forgive me, I would really appreciate it,” the physician says in a recording provided by a student in the class (whom I’ll call Lauren). “Again, I’m very sorry for that. It was certainly not my intention to offend anyone. The worst thing that I can do as a human being is be offensive.”

"The worst thing that I can do as a human being is be offensive.”

This is a physician. I'm at a loss for words. 🤡🌎

“I said ‘when a woman is pregnant,’ which implies that only women can get pregnant and I most sincerely apologize to all of you.”

NO ONE HAS ANY RIGHT TO APOLOGIZE FOR THAT WHEN IT'S FUCKING FACT! I have nothing against Trans gendered people but for FUCK SAKE, it's simple fucking biology...a man turned woman through operation can still not conceive because they lack the fucking proper equipment....you are nothing more than a W.I.N.O (= Woman in name only)...simple fucking sad truth! Too bad if science doesn't agree with your fee fees.

Science don't give a fuck about your fee fees...not unless we evolve to the point where men start developing a uterus from birth...until that day comes, it's simple fucking biology and it sure as shit don't care about your fucking fee fees.

I'll accept their fucking delusion, but I will not accept their fucking delusion when it comes to BASIC FUCKING BIOLOGY.

(/rant)

Welcome to Clown World 2021.

Seriously, Aliens. If you're up there then do us all a favor and just invade us already...just to remind humanity of how primitive they really are when a higher life form wipes us out...but to be fair, if there are Aliens, they're probably laughing their asses off at our stupidity.
