This is a good thing, arbitration is shit.

They won't use it that way, at first. They will go after firearms first, but yes, boxing is capable of "causing bodily injury", so even karate and ju jistsu would be illegal under this bill.

Lots of people have been conditioned to be incurious about how, and especially why Hitler rose to power. He has been made into this caricature of mustache twirling evil, and no one bothers looking into the history, which is still out there, despite all attempts to suppress it.

Make no mistake, I abhor any kind of totalitarian government, but I know why the German people turned to him, and exactly who were responsible for setting the conditions that made his rise possible.

That bill does a lot more than ban private militias, I highly suggest you read it.

It would make participating in any kind of organized training illegal. How? § 2742 a) (1) states:

“(1) publically (sp) patrol, drill, or engage in techniques capable of causing bodily injury or death;

Defensive use of firearms is engaging "in techniques capable of causing bodily injury or death"

Ok, so what about training? Section 5:

(5) train to engage in any activity described in paragraphs (1) through (4).

I guarantee that no one in Raskin's office actually wrote this bill. It was handed to them by a hoplophobe organization, and Raskin slapped his name on it, and introduced it. Raskin is too stupid to incorporate this level of duplicity into the language of the bill, and his staff knows nothing about the firearms industry.

This bill also provides for civil tort against anyone conducting firearms training, which means giving Everytown for Gun Safety carte blanche to sue every firearm trainer, and firearm training school, into bankruptcy. This is your clue for deducing who actually wrote this bill. Everytown has sued Polymer80, manufacturer of 80% Glock frames, into closing down, with repeated lawsuits.

Note that "publicly" is mis spelled in the original text, I didn't put that there.

I looked that up when it was in theaters. It wasn't the British, it was the French that destroyed the kingdom of Dahomey. That female unit the movie was about was slaughtered.

They are not unjustified in thinking there will be no reaction. They have noted that no matter how extreme they get, there is no widespread reaction, just one off events that they can spin to serve their cause (1995 OKC bombing, 6 Jan 2021).

The right is very good at internet bluster, but very bad at real, street level applications of violence.

It has happened before, but it is a one off event that has been buried.

LA, NY, and several other large metro areas do not contribute to FBI crime stats, and haven't since 2021, so anyone relying on FBI crime stats to say crime is down is LYING BY OMISSION.

Look at the county break down of the state for the 2020 election. The city and surrounding suburbs of Seattle in King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties dominate the rest of the state. Spokane is left leaning, but isn't totally gone yet.

My next door neighbor has both a Fergeson (rabid anti-gun lefty WA state AG is running for governor) and Harris sign up. Plenty of trans flags waving around the area, too.

I wanna move to Wyoming for a very good reason.

I wish I could say that that Eve Online video is unusual, but, I can't.

CCP devs have been caught over and over again messing with the game. Back when you could still get blueprints (not blueprint copies, blueprints, unlimited run blueprints) for T2 gear, CCP used to play favorites with who got them.

Bruen involved New York, which had an even more onerous may issue system than CA has. There are legal challenges to the CA CCW system in work right now, and CA just lost a case against their refusal to issue out of state CCW permits. CA doesn't recognize any other state issued permit, and didn't issue non-resident permits, but now they have to.

The entire CCW legal fight is just sheer ideological based obstinance on the part of CA. The rest of the country long ago realized that concealed carry permits are not an issue, to such an extent that something like 27 states now let people carry concealed without any kind of permit at all.

Reminder that extreme hoplophobe Dianne Feinstein had an extremely hard to get CCW permit from San Francisco when she was mayor. CA is one of the few states left that still have may issue CCW permits, and the big cities of LA, San Francisco, and Sacramento have historically issued them only to the rich and famous who can afford to give mid five digits to the political campaign of the sitting Sheriff, or to the politically connected.

Democrats, and especially California Democrats, have always been able to sidestep and avoid the firearm rules everyone else have to live by. Exceptions to this are rare, like this extreme hoplophobe CA state assemblymen who was convicted of gun trafficking, and served five years in prison.

I think the source was a bit closer to home, like the NSA. We already know the NSA records every phone call, text, and email. All that is needed is an excuse to look.

I don't believe them, not even a little bit.

Because no one does catty bitch better than a split tail.

I wonder, sometimes: does she think this shit still works to change opinions? Can she be so disconnected from real, non-professional class people such that what she thinks matters?

There are just so many useless people out there...

They already are, Pennsylvania is going after the Amish in a big way. They are starting with the food safety tactic, and Amos Miller is being made an example of.

Big Ag and Big Pharma have to destroy the Amish, because they are a control group for the modern way of life.

Patriarchal societies evolved to constrain women just like this.

One of the other seminal "studies" in psychology is also a fraud, the so called Stanford prison experiment.

There is a perverse incentive to publish fake papers today. All the people running around with Ph.D doctorates need to publish to get hired, and promoted, so what do they do? Make shit up.

If there weren't so many midwit Ph.D around, there wouldn't be such high pressure to publish fake studies for career enhancement. How to fix that? Fewer colleges, fewer people in college, and much higher admission standards so that the people who are in college are able to properly advance the field of knowledge they go into.

Women can be trained to run a carbine, I saw it many times in the over a dozen pistol and rifle classes I have had. There were women in all of them, and none of them were a danger or a hinderance. The key hurdle is to get them to even try, as modern society has trained them to be passive.
