I have always compared my exercise routine to a bear: Other than the machining job, when it is winter I dont do a ton of exercise except some simple indoor stuff. But once spring, summer, and fall hit, I am out hiking on trails through the prairie in my state, biking the trail that goes around my town (with about 30 mile round trip), and swimming when the weather is warm enough. Then winter hits and I go right back inside.

To that end, I dont get sick with anything, never mind Covid.

Perhaps less he had always been, and more that he saw them as a way to destroy the US. Because, you know, despite how much people here like to pretend otherwise, they are still an Enemy.

I am just more surprised it wasnt the Chinese.

You want to know what is even worse/funnier? I have seen some typical Redditoids say they are doing this to please to "Evangelical Religious Puritans" of the Right. You know, the ones who have had pretty mediocre power for decades now and only recently managed to claw a little back (alienating a massive chunk of the right in the process)?

They cant even admit its their own ideals doing this to themselves.

You can even lower issues with health by just doing even basic exercise. I lost 20 lbs just by changing to a new job, without even changing my diet, because my day job became "Lifting 60 lbs of iron and swinging hammers all day". Even just going for some walks and bike rides can at least get some cardio built up to allow you to work better with the weight.

But we all know how the Left feels about that sort of stuff.

Ron DeSantis has a good track record as governor, but I'm not so sure he's not using the Populist movement as a weapon for his own personal advancement.

I dont. He has gone far too hard in the paint on a number of issues that would have been better for him to back down on for it to all just be a ruse. He has also been significantly better at picking staff that will go just as hard as he does and then tell the journos "you disgust me" when they come looking for answers.

Unlike Trump who may have picked a handful of good people but was getting backstabbed by court politics basically from the moment he drummed out Bannon. On the recommendations of said court politics, fittingly enough.

All that said, I think Larry does better nationally, but still doesnt actually win it. But like you said, him being there to drag the Overton Window and take a sledgehammer to the resurgent Black Nationalist narratives is absolutely a win in its own right.

I dont think we disagree as much as you think we do. I too am going to clown on someone for being into loli's unless they are a young teen (and even that is cutting it), but I dont think it wise to ban the practice. Like I said, when it comes to anime waifu's, I prefer mine a little more canine or foxy as it were.

1
TheModernDaVinci 1 point ago +2 / -1

But considering that Anime and Manga are aimed at late teens and young adults, that is a little bit different in terms of "Can they see this or that."

It really does annoy me that these types think it’s different. Same problem I have with the Lotus Eaters guys on this subject. And I am not even a loli person (I am more into Kemonomimi for unusual anime appearance). I just don’t think it wise to give on this when it is obvious they will use it to attempt to censor all anime, because they can’t allow people to get outside their media ecosystem.

How do I know they will? Because SJWs have already tried to accuse a character of being a “loli”, even though she is canonical in her mid-20’s and has big boobs. But she is short, so clearly a loli, right?

I just think it is obvious that one of the justices themselves in involved in some way, shape, or form. It is the only explanation for why Roberts would be so tight fisted with the info after having already said “we know their identity.” There is no way he goes so hard in the paint over just a clerk.

My own personal conspiracy theory about the Dobbs leak is that the reason they dropped it so quick was because it wasnt some paralegal like it was thought. They found out it was one of the Justices themselves. And that would have been so earth shattering and would have shook the USSC to its very core that Roberts decided to bury it so deep it would never be found.

70:1 in Religion, 4 most biased to Left

In case you were wondering why so many churches are bowing to the Woke.

Also, I can believe history being that low. I got my degree in History from a state college, and not only did I have many openly Conservative/Libertarian professors, my Dean was a Conservative who mocked the fact that everyone else was a bunch of Lefties when we were preparing for graduation ("They are all a bunch of Commies who probably forgot how to even do the Pledge, so you are going to have to hold their hand and walk them through it.")

I was one of those kids. I was allowed to record the lectures in some way, and I had rules as part of my IEP that when we did test I was supposed to be in an isolated area (usually the main room for Special Ed students). Over time, I eventually learned to work with everything so that I still had the IEP for if I needed it (like in math classes mostly), but I could be largely normal while still retaining my steel trap of a mind that remembered everything I saw and heard. And now I work a job in manufacturing, where my Aspergers means that I dont just survive, I thrive.

I think it is possible to turn it around by being proactive and building up a culture around that though. For instance, my local school district has been on top of transparency agenda's to make it easier for parents to check on what teachers are doing and what their lesson plans are. At least from what I have seen, they also still have the same focus on in-class debate that they did when I was there, so that can be helpful.

But the overall point remains: We can no longer just let schools be schools, and people need to watch that shit like a hawk now. It sucks, but that is the way it is now.

I think their fuck ups in New York last year might have undermined their confidence in their ability to rig elections.

I keep trying to tell people and no one believes me. The situation is far more in our favor than people would like to think. It will still be a slog, but it is winnable in 2024 and beyond, because there are too many bushfires in too many locations for them to fight them all, and some of them are already out of control (like Texas and Florida).

Or she is going to go full Gremlin mode and start wailing on the guy with me. Because even as much bigger than I am, she doesn’t think I should be the only one with my ass on the line.

Source: it has already happened.

I have known her for almost 15 years, dude. If she was planning on screwing me over like you think women do, I think she would have made her move by now.

That has been my attitude and why I dislike the loud Evangelicals (among other reasons). My attitude is that it is not my job to go out and find people to bring into the flock, especially since many of them are actually wolves. But if God calls someone and sends them to me, I will help them as best I can.

Meanwhile, when a woman finds a man who is bigger than her but grows to trust them, it leads to them looking at them as a protector. My fiancé has told me exactly that. About how part of the reason she likes me is that I am a titan compared to her (+50lbs, much stronger, a whole head, neck, and shoulders taller), and she has run to me before when she was worried or felt scared.

Which of course makes me feel good too as a man.

From the article:

In one group chat message, Sturgeon reportedly sent photos that included one that stated..."I know what I have to do but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it."

Is this motherfucker out here actually quoting fucking Kylo Ren? And doing it as a "This makes me a badass and a rebel against the system" statement?

Once the Ford Mark 1 had a target fix you were basically ****ed

Not as much as you think. The earliest FCS like the Mark 1 effectively only let you shoot in obscured conditions (night, fog, etc) and allowed you to correct for the Coriolis Effect. You even still had to ladder shoot to get the range on the early systems. Even with the advanced systems like the Mk 38 used on the Iowas, that was still a hit rate of like 35-40%. On the other hand, that was indeed a massive step up from "traditional" fire control which would have an accuracy rating of like 5% on a clear day.

That said, the point about guided artillery being no good against ships is true. If they are sitting around or moving slow, sure. But if they are going full bore its out of the question.

Although if you are in the market for cheap anti-ship method (which btw, is compatible with the F-16's the Taiwanese air force is rocking), they recently discovered you can destroy a ship with JDAM's.

I mean, even in the calculus here that is still just a draw.

I mean, I have been quite open about my attitude of Musk taking over Twitter from word "go". Either he destroys it, denying my enemies a means of communication. Or he fixes it, and allows everyone else to talk and take the fight to my enemies.

Either way, I win.

Poor Man's Poison is also pretty good. Although they are more Country Rock with some of their newer stuff rather than true Country.

I have never made anything that big. I use the mod for 25 tiles, but I usually only get to about 40k population before my computer starts contemplating committing sudoku.

The main mods I use are Real Time (makes ticks weekly instead of yearly, changes AI behavior by the day and time), Real Population (makes it so factories employ dozens, and high rises house hundreds), , and Lifestyle Change (helps prevent death waves by randomizing citizens moving into town). As well as infinite Ore/Oil the TMPE mod, and Unlock All.

Honestly, I am just glad there have been a ton of optimization updates to Unity since 2015. Between that and seasons being confirmed, they could change literally nothing else and CS2 Will already be as revolutionary as the original was.

Oh yeah. The business podcaster that I listen to for everything that has been going down with Disney said during the call yesterday that you know DeSantis and the Universal C-Suite guys were just popping champagne and toasting to Disney actually deciding they were going to eat the crazy burger instead of quit while they were still not getting piledrived by everyone else.
