I've been thinking about this lately as well. Every Goodreads newsletter I get, no matter the theme or variety is packed full of the same corporate looking slop. Same cover style. Pushing 'female authors' and POC writers on me like it's something new or rare.
I'm thinking they'll sink under their own incompetance, or shrink the market like comics, once you drive out at least 90% of the male readers. Even hard sci-fi is wrecked at the moment. With every new book being a 'cozy slice of life, strong female lead, and questioning what it means to be a queer, neuro divergent blah blah in the 32nd century'
I think the covers are so obviously pandering, it's just for women to hold and virtue signal on the commute. The actual book never being read. Woke accessories.

A lot of the big streamers on Twitch have stifling contracts. Some allow you to simucast to other platforms, but when you are doing things like your bounties, you can't stream that to another platform. So you gotta shut down your stream on YouTube. Same with not allowing your reward chimes (like the default noises for bits, subs, etc) to play on other platforms (in some contracts), or have your Twitch chat feed with it's proprietary emotes appear on screen on other platforms, so rather than deal with a complicated filter/split cast a lot of them just do the old live on Twitch, upload VOD later to other platform. The rules are just convoluted, especially as it is not standardized across all contracts/partnerships. It's intentionally petty.
It's mostly their corporate masters wanting to lower wages. They buy congress and the senate and get unlimited serfs. This has the extra bonus of keeping the workers divided and fighting, instead of storming the castle with pitchforks.
Designers, artists, writers working for corporations seem to always go down this road. I think because it's easy/lazy. There's prob some angle too where you are making these new IPs and characters, but will never get royalties or own them. It's just easy to use heavy allegory rather than put in a lot of effort. They'll still get the same praise from their peers and social media bubble, and same pay from salary. Of course their politics are always university/coastal elite, because everyone slightly different was pushed out years ago.

It's def Romanian gov that is meddling. The big business in Romania, wants the cheaper labor of the Moldovans. Most regulations these days are being used by mega corps to squash competition. Coke can pay a 100k a month nuisance fee for using unregulated x y z. Mom & Pop Soda Co. can't even sell their stuff at a farmer's market without the state coming down on them.
It's why you'll see big business doing PR ads, lobbying for things you would think would harm their bottom line, but it keeps out competition. It's corrupt.

I'm in favor of minimal regulation. I want the state bureaucracy as small and less intrusive as possible. Make common sense regulations that give judges/juries wider powers. Just basic shit like, don't put poison in products. Don't clear cut without variety replanting. Don't make lake/river/soil/air toxic. Then don't allow the big corps to hire their own 'scientists'. The FDA has this bizarre system where Big Corps (looking at you pharma and aggriculture) get to submit their own research and they just go, 'ok'. When they are funded ridiculous amounts to be able to discover their own facts.

Here's my fear for Civ 7. From what I can tell they've split the government into 2 types for your nation. The traditional ruler, and some kind of social progress leader.
Why?
Because there weren't enough history gayPOC and chick leaders in history. Now with the social impact leader, they can pump the game full of that woke jizz, and not have to be accountable for historic accuracy.
I've read the first 3. They are decent-good. Grab them all on sale. The pacing gets a little annoying in places, not that things aren't moving along, but there are some misdirections to create anticipation that I didn't like. I wanted the battle to pop off, not necessarily the backstory of an officer right before the broadsides start. Of course, you DO get the battle. Just, impatience :)
I feel like this is probably the most correct idea. Their viewers dropping hard in the last 3 years. Going 'right' gets you an instant social media bump. If she starts promoting gold and health supplements the transition will be complete.
