Eric Lang used to be a respectable designer, but it looks like his politics have gone to his head. Still, I'm glad to see people are calling put woke board games now as well as video games!
Designers, artists, writers working for corporations seem to always go down this road. I think because it's easy/lazy. There's prob some angle too where you are making these new IPs and characters, but will never get royalties or own them. It's just easy to use heavy allegory rather than put in a lot of effort. They'll still get the same praise from their peers and social media bubble, and same pay from salary. Of course their politics are always university/coastal elite, because everyone slightly different was pushed out years ago.
