To be fair, if you knew how awful so many books are, AI is an improvement. A lot of writers have been spoiled by low standards and expectations, and this could be a good step to waking up the industry.
I just find it funny that the same people who complain about AI taking jobs didn't care about those same jobs being outsourced to India over the past decade.
I'm rereading the comics, and I feel so cheated every time I think of what the show could have been. It's as if the actors were cast at a hot dog stand.

To be fair, we're not talking about AI generated content. ProWritingAid isn't a generative AI, but more like a glorified spellchecker that can tell you if your Sci fi book has more or fewer adverbs than the standard bestsellers or if your sentences are longer than those in other books. Zero creative suggestion, just technical.
That being said, I'm sad to see ProWritingAid taking such a woke stance instead of simply offering their service to whoever wants it
