Ah, my bad, I fucked up. I thought there was a second season, and we were waiting for 3. I was thinking of the desert pasta filler...thing, between the first series and the movie.
Also, I'm not trying to tourist shame. I'm expressing my "flay localizers, dip them in honey and lemon, and nail them into the ground next to fire ant hills" autism. I hate people who change other people's work because they "know better" what the "wider audience" would like.
This petty yet burning hate is actually what motivated me to learn Japanese and struggle through kanji hell.
Strictly speaking, there IS two concurrent seasons of the show, one mainline, and one comedy one Youjo Shenki, which covers the more comedic and slice of life elements from the LNs. They're micro-episodes, and more or less follow the same timeline as the main series, what is being done in off-hours, things being done by side characters, etc.
Silly little asides, like addressing why no one in the squad tries hitting on Serebrinakov, what foods people like, outside perspectives on the Devil of the Rhine, etc.
So saying it has two seasons and a movie, isn't technically incorrect.
That's real easy to say, and it sounds like one of those cool sounding toughguy 'I spend all day chopping wood, building a house with my bare hands, and reading Cicero and Marcus Aurelius' sorts of AMOG witticisms, but it's not realistic or actually positive.
Not everyone is going to be good at everything, have the time or faculties to become good at everything, or always find enjoyment in only the things one can do and nothing else. Not everyone is equipped to be a good writer, or a good artist, or a good musician, or a good whatever human beings have found joy and leisurely pleasure in for thousands of years. Humans instead tend to seek out those who are good at those things. If you enjoy reading, but are not a good writer and have not the wit for it, you may instead seek out one who is and enjoy their writing. They may come to you for the thing you are good at.
If you don't like the word 'excitement', then try on 'are there any creators of leisurely pleasures that you have come to expect to produce quality things you enjoy, and do you positively anticipate their next work?'
People like things dude. Not everyone spends every waking moment of their life producing output, and it's actually bad to do so. A person should work and produce in moderation as they should seek pleasure and enjoyment in moderation. And finding that enjoyment in what others have made, and learning to anticipate it is not a bad thing.
What, you dont like living like an animal? Only able to utilize what you yourself have either made or, lets be more realistic, found? I agree; the same people shitting on consumerism just got back from 7-11 before voicing their disgust on their smartphone or computer. We just use to barter and leverage something we have or can make for something someone else had or made. The only thing is, these days its rare to find someone with a craft or skill that is contributory, especially amongst non-whites. Mexicans aren't even that good at gardening/landscaping, they just do it for the shit wages we refuse to (a whole other topic).
I'll bite. The thing with games is that it sublimates your masculine drives to explore and create (eg. Minecraft) or perfect your necessary combat training (CoD etc.) by offering a low-risk, low-effort alternative. Yeah, if things went full helter-skelter in the US, Ja'quavious and Paco with their modified Glocks aren't likely to hit anything spraying and praying past 20 yards, but then, neither are you if you don't own at least a reliable rifle and sidearm that you maintain and practice with regularly.
You may find that doing these things might kill off any desire you have for bing bing wahoo and talmudvision. Reality isn't perfect but it is where you live.
I think you have a good understanding of my main point. People are spending a vast majority of their lives in a low risk virtual environment. An environment that can be remotely disabled.
We are made to push out into the physical world. Make new experiences. Not simply exist.
I've been really trying to push my cousin (still a teen) into that. That age group is so caught up in living out everything virtually I almost have to push him to the mindset that a man is to be out building up themselves or things in one way or another, pretty much for their entire life.
Yeah I ramble here too much (mostly during office type work time) and I can address that if I need be. Games, TV, whatever sort of entertainment is fine for the most part when bounded into an appropriate amount of leisure time. The ones who build their entire identity around fictional worlds really just make me sick.
Weirdly enough, gaming never subverted any part of my life. 12 years as EOD with 3 combat tours and then I changed it up and moved into medicine, where I presently practice primary care. Still play games nearly every day for maybe an hoir or two, just not 8hr stints like when I was much younger. I shelved the hobby during times when it wasnt feasible (deployments, children, school). But I never let them "emasculate me" and still go to the gym or run 5 days out of the week and have a family I support. Plenty of other hobbies I swap in and out as well, firearms being one of them.
Everything seems to have been taken over by Liberal Progressives.
I've given up on TV altogether -- I have a few old series on my IMDB watchlist like The Equalizer, and I'm going through some older Italian and French movies now -- rewatching a few favourites and checking out a few classics I missed.
Games are bleak. ILL is the only thing that looks to be on the horizon actually developed for a straight male audience without any kind of feminist faggotry. But that's because it's developed by Slavs -- so unless their paid to betray their own, they're dedicated to making content people actually want to play.
I started learning the cello -- the biggest hurdle is actually the tuning more than anything. Fingering is completely different from any other instruments, though, so it will take a while to build up the muscle memory, but thankfully it doesn't disrupt how I play piano. It's opposite of the saxophone, though, which was really easy to pick up, as well as the recorder. Cello will take some time, but once it gets tuned in, it sounds really nice.
It's hard to be excited about anything when you realize you live in an open-air prison and the government is gonna take 54% income tax + 15% sale tax on every penny you make.
On the weekly front I have lots of Anime and Manga/Manwha and the Korean side seems to be popping off a lot more.
In terms of games, I really want to see if ILL will be good, like the look of Stellar Blade Bloodrain especially now they are off Sony's leash and I have to see if GTA 6 is good as that'll be the thing that breaks the internet no matter if it's good OR bad.
ILL and Blight are the only two games I'm really looking forward to. ILL looks to be the actual evolution of FPS combat I've been longing for since Soldier Fortune.
Games. I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm getting the newest Rogue Trader dlc for Father's Day. That game has been a blast and the dlc are all good so I've got my fingers crossed. I had been anticipating Outward 2 but it was delayed because the beta was a total disaster so ask again next year.
Books. My anticipated books already came out this year, so far they're all good. Mentioned them in the other thread.
Movie, TV, I really don't watch anything new anymore except the occasional anime.
Not really. There hasn't been a good new TV show for almost a decade and the few decent movies aren't worth sifting through tons of shit.
Used to look forward to anime but they've shut down so many sites lately I kinda lost interest. So I stopped watching altogether because I sure as hell won't pay shitty western localizers one damn cent.
Ngl, I'm a Hello Games believer. After the way they turned around NMS and produced so many high quality updates for free that ended up delivering on nearly all of their initial promises, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. No preorders of course, because preordering dumb as fuck. But I am optimistic about Light No Fire.
Lords of the Fallen 2 and Mortal Shell 2. Both souls like games that appear to actually be doing much better than their original offerings. And aren't woke shit.
LoTF had a moment in the beginning where they put A and B body's. People complained and called them fags, and they immediately removed it from the game and decided to continuously work off of player feedback. They changed a ton of stuff in the game to make it better based off feedback, and the second game is going even further and making sure all the women in the game are hot. They fully walked away from the work fag shit so I'm excited to support them.
I pray to God they aren't gonna bait and switch like KCD2
You summed up my thoughts exactly. I am really hyped for LotF2. Having a game dev tell the modern audience no is a sight to behold. I just hope we're not getting hoodwinked.
Yeah I was really surprised to see them entirely work like how one might expect a true capitalist company to work. They tried a thing, got told to get fucked, and didn't complain about it, they took it to heart and changed their shit to fit the needs of their customers.
I could give a fuck less if they do or don't believe in the same things I do. I don't need them to believe in the same God or follow the party lines. Just do the things we ask of you when we're paying your paycheck as customers and it's all fine
I'm still waiting for the day where stellar blade and atomic heart drop denuvo to buy them. Otherwise, not really. I used to be a big nintendo fan, but their recent decisions with the switch 2 made me drop them. Fuck bricking consoles and body types for miis. Also, the games look boring.
I haven't watched shows in a decade and it's been years since I've seen a movie. I don't read much except trashy mangas I find for free. I guess the clown world has become my entertainment.
Games: Only asian stuff, western devs have murdered most franchises.
My backlog is huge, and I used to love MMOs but WoW is garbage, FFXIV is pozzed, ArenaNet is woke, GW3 looks like slop. Classic + might be okay, but they will find some way to ruin it.
Movies & TV, what isn't garbage at this point?
Same with Anime, once OP finishes in the next million years, everything is the same generic crap.
But there is plenty of stuff in the past to discover.
I would create my own, but Australia isn't known for encouraging creativity via entrepreneurship.
I haven’t kept up with new releases as of late, nothing crazy interesting seems to be coming out. I’m actually thinking about going back and replaying one of the older NCAA football games for the Xbox 360. I do like college football and I’ve played those games before, but I don’t want to pay full price for the newer ones.
I'm looking forward for Knights path, that game not only shows a ton of potential but also makes shitlibs mald at the thought a developer is making a game without feminism or faggotry
Frieren and Spy x Family are the big two, also Apothecary Diaries (guilty pleasure there) with several we don’t track as actively but are also fun to see.
i was promised 'saga of tanya the evil' to get a new season.
i need new memes to torture commies with.
I've never heard of that, and that tile sounds like gay localized crap.
Have you ever heard of Youjo Senki, though? It's pretty cool. Had two seasons and a movie.
fucking weeb trying to tourist-shame me.
i'll glady own up to not owning a single body-pillow.
edit. what second season is already out? oh you made me look, getting my hopes up that i missed it. fuck you.
Ah, my bad, I fucked up. I thought there was a second season, and we were waiting for 3. I was thinking of the desert pasta filler...thing, between the first series and the movie.

well if i weren't using english titles i wouldn't have found this one to remember: Shangri-La Frontier (2023).
it has jewish idioms randomly used in it's sub. if you need renewed hatred, watch that :P
I shall be the turbo-autist then:

Nope, plenty of old shit to try tho
Yea, I've been using https://playimdb.com/?ref_source=playimdb.com to rewatch a few old series lately.
Don't build your excitement around another man's product. Develop a skill that feeds your own personal optomism.

Yes. You don’t have to completely abandon it. But you should recognize it for what it is.
/The Star Fox remake looks cool.

This frozen pizza out of the oven in about 23 minutes…
Was it good?
Yeah, pretty good… they’ve really advanced in frozen pizza tech to the point I don’t order delivery anymore.
I'd advise getting the frozen dough in the shape of a pizza and then just doing the toppings yourself.

I can agree but some private servers are ok. Unfortunately Bli$$ard and Microslop keep suing and taking them down, so enjoy them while they last.
Turtle WoW died, I was enjoying that, sadly.
Have you given Vinland Saga anime a watch? I very much enjoy it and I wouldn’t put it in the “same generic” crap bucket.
I did, not really for me.
I would really like Vinland Saga season 3 to come out.
I am waiting on the new Ace Combat game.
I'm moderately excited/ interested in the 2 40k games and the hypothetical Ananta, but not much beyond that

Anime. I’ve been turning to Japan for books and music as well. It’s refreshing to have new media that isn’t woke garbage.
Any particular anime you're excited for?
Frieren and Spy x Family are the big two, also Apothecary Diaries (guilty pleasure there) with several we don’t track as actively but are also fun to see.
I bought Thank You for Your Application since it came out today and I’m having fun with it!
GTA6 on the 19th Nov and was looking at Mecha Chameleon
