Honestly the DS library is surprisingly big and if you can get a 2DSXL you can mess with it pritty easy too.....

The DS and 3DS had a surprisingly good library in Japan at least.

JRPG gems like radiant historia, Golden sun and some of the better fire emblems where on there. It can all be Ahem "acquired" since Nintendo stopped supporting the platform and has the benefit of being on a totally offline device and memory card if you do.

It's why I love my 2DS XL currently it's got a 128 memory card in it and a massive library of games. I could play on it exclusively for years without an internet connection with my current collection alone.
