Pretty sure these dynamics are baked into our society, to keep things stable and the population distracted, while the real impactful decisions about the direction of society are made by business men who pretend to be above such conflicts. Gamergate exposed the highly political nature of big business, while they pretend to simply be following the will of the people.

Few expansions back there was an NPC feminist troll faction where they literally kept all their men chained to polls as breeding slaves.

The only 'safe' male 'characters' are real men in the real world.

Our current social model demands that people take on roles which are antagonistic to reality, placing people in a pyramid shaped order with no guarantee that those who hold any particular position are actually suited for the role, yet they still must maintain their position or society would collapse. Such is how nepotism corrupts and degrades social order.

Lying is just about the dumbest thing a person can do, in a general sense. The real world has an infinite depth, so as long as one remains earnest and honest there is no limit to how far they can take things. Start lying, however, and you'll end up 'locked' in place, incapable of moving on to anything else because you're too busy maintaining your lies.

I'm strongly suspicious that human society encourages lying so strongly specifically because it needs people to remain stationary in order to continue it's functions, as things currently are. Take the entertainment industry for example, where the most charismatic of our entire population are lavished with fame, fortune and every luxury money can buy... in exchange for lying constantly to maintain a false image of who they are.

Her quotes don't really reflect "complaining" so much as a sober recognition of how much it affected her life. Nothing she said there seems to indicate that she believes it is undeserved, just difficult to handle.

For the record, 16 is the age of consent in Canada, unless you hold a position of trust over them.

“Had it not been for the fact that you were this young man’s teacher, there would have been no criminality.”

For all the fuss they make about colonialism, they sure love to copy whichever behaviours they've learned from others which they believe will benefit them in the moment.

The whole reason the world is controlled by secrets rather than just force is because anyone could reasonably challenge it if they actually understood how it worked. Gamers, because of life-long exposure to their brainwashing machines, became radically better at solving such low-information problems as a side effect.

the goal was to target and groom children. 12 years olds explicitly.

That's definitely what it felt like, in retrospect, as a 12 year old on the Internet. Society already understood that giving strangers access to your children was opening the door for abuse, yet somehow when that access was digital their brains shut down and forgot what strangers might do with said access. Perhaps they trusted companies too much to act on the up-and-up, or they trusted governments too much to properly regulate the new technology, but the harm was done either way, and reprehensibly continues to be done even now that we know how horrible it is.

This guy is an idiot gooner that just has a skillset to build robots.

And just what exactly were you expecting from a guy who builds sex robots?

So we can all stop trying and just go back to making games that are fun instead of ones that tickle our politics.

Unfortunately we'd still have some huge hanging problems before anyone who cares still has to deal with before such things could reasonably be enjoyed.

I guess I'm what's considered "smart" in general. Didn't try the first time in school, but crushed math and physics when I returned and ended up with studying nanotechnology in post secondary.

It doesn't really 'feel' like anything to me, as it's all just normal for me. I have a hard time understanding why other people do things the way that they do sometimes though, and people get frustrated with me for doing things in unusual ways sometimes. It's hard to fit in, but I also just don't try that hard.

Never forget how many women gleefully invaded men's spaces and called us all misogynists for arguing against them

Okay, so if I'm counting that makes zero women I've actually met, and really only a handful of dedicated trolls online. It's really just pervs and simps pushing this crap, using the identity of 'women' to disguise themselves and muddy the waters for anyone trying to shine a light on them. Unfortunately some of those pervs and simps hold powerful offices.

The thing is that women were oppressed throughout all of human history

All of Cabal history, perhaps. In some places, like northern Europe, women have long enjoyed many of the same rights as men that they would have been denied in shitholes like Babylon or Egypt.

The thing about death threats is that they've been pretty much ubiquitous for anyone in a notable public position pretty much since mass communication was a thing, yet they never really got very much attention or concern until the SJW brigade made it one of their pet issues.

2009/2010 appear to have been some of the last years before woke corporatism invaded everything. There are some really excellent games from that era, from major studios, like Tomb Raider and Mass Effect.

Well at least it's better than the torture porn that was the modern "reboot" of the game series. Unless they still included all the torture porn on the Netflix series also?

Eh, by their nature they possess the potential to do either great things for their communities, or terrible, so the particularly good ones really can stand out. Of course that means NPCs who have an overly simplistic world view tend to worship the profession it's self.

I'm really starting to appreciate the consideration behind Joe "I don't want my kids growing up in a racial jungle" Biden and company's position on social justice. They've actually managed to convince their voting base that impoverishing themselves (be it material, intellectual or spiritual achievements) and ending their own bloodlines are noble pursuits. I may think he's an asshole, and disagree heavily with what I think he's doing, but god damn if it isn't effective at harming the people he seems to want to harm.

Even if they believe that, they would never be capable of winning anything on their own. It is only their willingness to submit which qualifies them for the roles they've been assigned.
