VERY few things I ever buy from Walmart anymore. I certainly don't get my groceries there. Last thing I bought from them was casual shoes (unfortunately, they are the ONLY place with them near me, and shoes are something you really do need to try on before you purchase) and printer ink.
I've only seen react-tubers talk about it so far, and how Alyssa MerCUNTe is seething about it.
EDIT: Well, here's a tweet from Grummz, who was pretty much at the front of all this- https://x.com/Grummz/status/1793993292952277058
Fire Emblem Fates. The classic example- two assassins, formerly on opposite sides, have a discussion.
Original dialogue (approximated)-
"How many have you killed?" "It's not something I try to keep count of. It's all I can do to keep this from weighing on my heart." "I get that feeling too, but I will faithfully do my duty as my master wishes."
"Localized" dialogue (exact)-
"..." "..." "..." "..."
Superheroes have always been "Vigilantes handling things, usually because the normal law enforcement and people of everyday society CAN'T." So you wouldn't be entirely wrong.
Not as comparable to today's society, where law enforcement actually CAN handle most of the dangers, but WON'T, and then decide to invoke the full force of the law on people that actually do try to stop the dangers.
British cast for Snowbreak Containment, apparently.
EDIT: Oh, also, the english dub was already scrapped because the devs couldn't afford it at the time. The refusal is happening because they can afford it now, since they apparently made a lot more money with going down the major fanservice route.
Way to make people lose sympathy.
