I never was really a fan of Trump. I never watched the Apprentice or anything he was involved in. I was aware OF him, because being in NJ/NYC you knew who he was.
When he ran in 2016 I also thought it was ridiculous. I was 100% behind Rand Paul, with maybe Ted Cruz as a 2nd option. (Jeb! would have made me vote third party) However, once Rand dropped out, and after seeing Trumps debates, and his actual positions on issues. I came around pretty fast. When it was down to just Trump, Cruz, and that Ohio Gov who's name I forget (and don't feel like googling) I was fully 100% on board with Trump. (Still did like Cruz though)
What sold me on Trump was actually listening to HIM and not reading what the media said about him. I've been onboard ever since. I've donated and voted for him three times.
I’ve always sort of sarcastically called the original Overwatch “Team Fortress 3”. Which is now gone in its original form. We absolutely do need more of these types of games, because the current crop is woke and lame.
Hopefully this one ends up good.
The only two people I personally know that are voting for RFK Jr, voted for Trump twice. Yeah, RFK is taking some Biden voters. However, he's also taking a surprising amount of former Trump voters. He can't win, but he CAN hurt Trump. So, it makes sense that Trump is attacking him.
At least my two friends live in a state that their vote won't matter. (Super Blue)
More often than you think.
The only reason why this even made the news, is because of what happened in Baltimore. Prior to that, it's a non-story. "Container Ship briefly loses power, tugboats do their job and stabilize it." isn't much of a headline.
I personally worked that ship earlier in the week.
The difference between the ships exiting the ports in NY/NJ, as opposed to Baltimore. Is that we have tugs escorting the ships until they are completely clear of all infrastructure. (Like Bridges) In Batimore, the tugs disengage early, and let the ships go under a bridge on their own. Hence, when they lost power - They could do nothing.
As a side note: This has absolutely nothing to do with DEI.
Looks like I'm in the minority, but I actually loved this interview. Probably one of the more entertaining interviews I've seen in a very long time.
I went in expecting the worst, because it's Chris Cuomo, and ended up pleasantly surprised.
I'm honestly not sure. Their products are sold in NY, and pretty much everywhere. However, none of their 111 locations are in NY or even in the Tri-Stat area. (NY, NJ, and CT)
It's a bullshit case, but I've seen states recently sue out of state companies before, and usually come to a settlement. (Usually gun producers)
This is why companies should shut up about sustainability. If you don't make claims about such things, and simply stuck with "We make beef." there would be nothing false to sue them over.
It's still a bullshit lawsuit though. The articles didn't really specify what exactly was false.
Fair. I thought he actually had something to do with Postal 2.
I'm also generally of the mindset that trans people have helped ruin this industry. However, I still have to admit that one of the greatest games ever made, was done by a trans person. (Along with other solid titles) It's not so much that I wish to argue the point, more so that I just find it interesting.
Amusing side note: He later regretted transitioning and wished he hadn't.
I also skipped season 3 but enjoyed the first two a good deal. I'm probably going to give it a watch.
I also wonder if your feelings on season 3 being better the second time around, have to do with how bad much of the superhero stuff has been lately. I've noticed just personally that I tend to think higher of things that I thought were average at the time, just due to how monumentally bad everything coming out now is.
Flying out of Newark, NJ which is a hub nearly completely controlled by United Airlines due to legit corruption where the head of the Port Authority went to jail over it - I'd have no problem if some European airlines popped in and competed. Shit, Southwest don't even have a single flight out of EWR.
Competition is a good thing. Propping up failed state actors and patronage pit airlines has always been a failure.
I work directly at the largest container port on the east coast. So far, there has been no change. We have ships every day this week, and truck traffic has been the same. If anything, it's been a little busier.
I'm sure that may change at some point, but as of TODAY - No.
